...and some of u are negative people who just wanna put negative stuff like this on FP. He's spent his entire career living the straight and narrow, and the second some tabloid-trash magazine prints something like this, u believe it.

When i make a new version of my JJ+FP "Summertime" album (jammed with all the summery songs...Summertime, Block Party, Lovely Daze, Just Cruisin', etc)...i'll probably put this R&B Remix of "Switch" on it as well.

SOUL IV REAL - Every Little Thing I Do It's playing in the background of a scene in an episode of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air where Carlton runs away cuz of all his disappointments in life and Ashley throws a party cuz the parents are away. Great song, Soul IV Real waz dope...i wish they were still around.

That Usher 8701 album is amazing. Everytime i pop it in, it takes me back 2 summer 2001. "U Don't Have To Call" is actually my least favorite track on the album, i waz devistated when they chose it as a single. It's success waz really cool also since the album waz supposed 2 drop in 2000, but after the 1st single "Pop Ya Collar" didn't do so well, the started recording again, reworked it, and it turned in2 the monster it is. I think everything Usher dose is amazing tho'...i think alot of the people who hate on him don't really give him a chance...alot like FP.

I don't know anything about Robin Thicke, but after hearing this...i'll definitly check him out. FP kinda sounds like he's reciting about lullabye in the beginning of the song. :hilarious: I'd like 2 hear Usher on this remix!!

I can't believe so many people think the R-N-B Remix is the best. Yeah, it sounds great...but "Switch" isn't that kinda song. It's like hearing "Just The Two of Us (The Explicit Version). It just dosen't make sense.

There's no way i'll download the album...that's just stupid 2 me. U can't beat hearing a song 4 the 1st time when u buy the CD. So far i've heard "Switch" downloaded and i thought it waz just okay. But then i got the promo single and that made me like the song a WHOLE lot more. Hearing music over the computer or hearing downloads is just awful...it takes everything away from the song is really about. I heard parts of "Party Starter" and "Pump Ya Breaks" in radio quality thru' download...and they don't impress me that much. I know that i'll love them more when i hear the album. Downloads are just disappointments 2 me. I'll listen 2 a few snippets when they are available, but i'm not downloading the album. While we are on the topic, anyone who dose download the album and dosen't buy the album the 1st week it drops need 2 be banned from the board...PERIOD.

Not always, after all, i got Jeff's screenname (amoungst other close 2 them). Tim has got 2 go 2 one a movie premier or 2...and handful of the people on this board have gotten 2 meet him in person.

I gotta stick with the original. The R-N-B Remix is dope, but it dosen't support the real vibe of the song. Even tho' i've heard only a few seconds of that remix with Elephant Man, i don't think a guest artist is what the song needs. I gotta go with the original, i think it captures the vibe of the song perfectly.

Whoa!! That is smooth!! Definitly a different take on the song compared 2 the original. These "Switch" remixes remind me of the remixes of the mid and late 90's. They'd remix a song and bring it in2 a different genre...Pop Mix, Hip-Hop Mix, R-N-B Mix, House Mix, etc. I'm likin' how they are approaching the song at different angles. I'm defintly liking the original version the best...but this is a great way 2 spin the track in a different direction. Thanx 4 hookin' us up!!

I listened 2 snippets of their 1st 3 albums (i thought they only had one unreleased album at that point) and most of the trax were dope. Definitly amoungst the best of what Hip-Hop has 2 offer. If they havn't changed it, u can hear snippets of all their songs on their website. I'm hoping 2 get all of their albums this summer, if they are selling them again that is.

I'm definitly looking forward 2 what he's bringing lyrically. It's the beats that i'm worried about. I'm just scared the completed version of the album will overlook his traditional style people like myself have grown with and want really bad right now. I really like Switch, Party Starter, and Pump Ya Breaks, but if their isn't a Pump Me Up, Don't Say Nothin', Afro Angel, or The Rain type style...i'll be really wanting more.

SMOOTH - Love Groove

Lately, since i got BRIAN MCKNIGHT's new album, Gemini, i've been listening 2 that and his past stuff (always amoungst my favorites). JENNIFER LOPEZ's Rebirth also has been in the CD player on heavy rotation. When i'm in the mood from some acoustic pop/rock stuff, i pop in some JASON MRAZ. I've also been listening 2 alot of SMOOTH's stuff (the female rapper/R-N-B singer who waz on Jive the same time as JJ+FP).

I know who he is...but i'm not familiar with anything he's done. One day i'll skool myself and check some of his classic films. He was a HUGE sex symbol which waz ironic since he waz one of the 1st huge stars 2 keep things in the closet. Most people would see a picture of him and recognize him without knowing who he waz. His most famous pix are usually of him in jeans, leather jacket, hair brushed back, with a cigarette.

Yeah, i've seen alot of those...never did get one tho.' I think when i finally get my own place, i'll catch up on posters. I'll have my huge studio/music room and grace the walls with stuff like that.
