  1. Omarion is of course the front man of B2K. While i liked all of B2K's stuff (except their teeny bopper fans) but this album takes it 2 the next level. He's a bit older now and the lyrics and in some places, the song is more mature. Even with the age gap, i'm relating 2 his stuff like it's Usher's. Here's a quick review... I WISH This song is dope. It's produced by the new producing team Corna Boys (who i'm already a big fan of...they also did Marques Houston's new joint). It's a very sugar-coated R-N-B radio friendly song. It's about being head over heels for a girl. TOUCH This is a Neptunes-produced song. This upbeat one is about telling a girl he thinks they should move their relationship 2 another level. Compared 2 the rest of the album, i think this is one of the weaker trax. O This is the 1st single most of u probably have already heard. It's a sexy mid-tempo/slow song. One of the smoothest songs 2 hit the radio in awhile. Very T.U.G. kinda stuff. I'M TRYNA Another dope one. It's a slow song, but dosen't come across that way thru' the vocals. It's a song about him lettin' a girl know he loves her, but since she left him, he's pretending he's cool with it. DROP THAT HEATER This one is 4 the clubs. Darkchild heats it up on this one. GROWING PAINS This song is one of a handful of Marques Houston produced and/or written songs. This song touches on the break up of B2K. He talks about missing the good old days but how their situation got really crazy and that it seems just not meant 2 be. He also speaks 2 the fans on this one. TAKE IT OFF This is another one 4 the clubs...but not nearly as good as "Drop The Heater." Good song, but nothing new 2 it. Long time Platnium Status/T.U.G. member Mila J pops up on the track. I've never liked her much tho'...her voice is just 2 annoying 2 me. NEVER GONNA LET YOU GO (SHE'S A KEEPA) This track is really cool. It has this swinging upbeat retro feel. Big Boi of OutKast spits a verse on it. This track is alos on the Hitch soundtrack. I KNOW He smooths it out again on this one. This one is talking 2 a lady that he wants 2 be with him instead of her current man. I'M GON' CHANGE Another Corna Boys joint!! The production is again, FLAWLESS. Smoothed out R-N-B at it's best. This one has O talking 2 a past girl saying how he wants 2 make things work cuz he now realizes how much she means 2 him. IN THE DARK Another slow sexy one. MH behind the scenes again. Put this song on with your lady...and her cloths just may melt off. SLOW DANCIN' Keeping is smooth...another slow one. FIENING YOU Unique sound 2 this one. Keeps the slow vibe of the album 2 finish it off. Bottom line, if u like R-N-B, especially the Imx/immature/B2K/Marques Houston/O'Ryan stuff....u'll be in heaven with this album. This is an album that will be playing in my CD player for the upcoming year. There is also a Dual Disc version of the album which has the "O" music video, an interview, and MTV's "Diary of Omarion. The album is $9.98 at Target, where u will also get a free digital download for the b-side "Let You Know." Circuit City has it for $9.99. FYE has it for $14.99. The Dual Disc version is $1 or $2 more than the regular version.
  2. I really don't like any of Petey Pablo's stuff. On those cameo appearances, like that Joe song u mentioned, it dosen't bother me so much, but his music dose say anything 2 me, and his lyrics, flow, and voice aren't anything i can stand listening 2.
  3. Heck 2 the nizzo...i'm not even a huge Nas fan, but his music is way more honest and down 2 earth than Jay-Z's. Jay's got those God-awful songs like "Change Cloths" that put nails in2 the coffin of Hip-Hop music.
  4. BRANDY - Necessary I can't believe people slept in her latest album...it's so good.
  5. OMARION - I'm Tryin' kbfprince...i got the album, i'll make do a review of it 2nite
  6. Congratz!! Thank 4 sharing those pix!! I love how everyone brought JJ+FP CDs. I'm sure FP feels really good when a fan brings up a JJ+FP CD rather than a solo album. It just shows how much his fans love JJ+FP.
  7. There isn't a US single. That waz just the promo that radio stations get. Most of the time they only have a back insert or no insert at all.
  8. OMARION - I Wish bigted, i don't remember a 2Pac songs using a BBD sample, but i'll pop in the album 2nite and check.
  9. If they did shoot footage to the additional lyrics, they never aired it.
  10. The term 'love doctor' is very common...the line has nothing do with Hitch. p.s. dose that line actually rhyme?
  11. It's just a name...i don't see why some people take it so serious. However,k i just don't like using the term Big Will...it sounds so "Columbia Records" 2 me. I could start calling him Fresh Prince Will Rock...how's that 4 old skool? Even better, maybe i'll just start calling him by one of his characters... Have any of u heard the new single from Bagger Vance called "Switch?"
  12. I'm hopin' this year is gonna be HUGE. However, i'm not feeling any impact yet. I don't listen 2 the radio much or watch TV 2 much, but i've never heard it on the radio and i've only seen it on TV twice...and one of those times waz when he premeired it. Both times were on BET.
  13. It's amazing how someone people will 'read a book by it's cover.'
  14. It's amazing what promotion can do. Things havn't really changed, Columbia just isn't involved anymore.
  15. Right now i'm listening 2 the You Got Served soundtrack. Omarion's album drops 2day and i am HYPED!!
  16. I haven't heard the song or much of Nas' new stuff. But of the rappers/emcees who get commercial success these days, he's definitly one of the most talented ones. Talent isn't what radio listeners are exposed 2 very often. The game knocks down talent for the stuff that dose get on the radio.
  17. I doubt i'll get 2 catch much of it, but i've been looking forward 2 it. MTV used 2 have MJ Marathons all the time in the 90's...but they've sold him out, after all the things he did for MTV. Have they aired his Ghosts mini-movie...that thing is insane. I like that better than Thriller.
  18. I know exactly what u mean...a few years ago i waz playing Spin Da Bottle and i had 2 kiss this girl that waz like 4 years younger than me. At that time, our age gap waz a lil' weird...so i just gave her a peck on the lips. Someone took a picture and it looks really bad...ha ha...both of us have our eyes shut, her hand on my shoulder, but it waz very innoncent...but the picture dosen't support that. Years have gone by and we both did a show last spring where we were playing oppisite of each other as lovers. Now the age gap is no big deal so i put it down.
  19. Eva's alright...but give me Selma Hayek (sp?) or Gabrielle Union 1st.
  20. Some of us have been down since WAAAY b4 he started calling himself "Will Smith." 2 some of us, he'll always be Fresh Prince. Asking us 2 change how we refur 2 him would be just as ignorant as me asking others 2 not call him Will Smith. And he's NEVER said he didn't wanna be called the Fresh Prince. He still wears his "Fresh Prince" diamond necklace from time 2 time. He's refured 2 himself as the Fresh Prince at least once on each album he's done. One Willennium, he credits himself as The Fresh Prince in the executive producer credits and also for the song "Pump Me Up." In an MTV interveiew in 1997, he was asked if he would go by Fresh Prince or Will Smith. He said he left it blank on the paperwork cuz old heads are always gonna call him Fresh Prince, but that newer fans would call him Will Smith. There's the facts.
  21. I have his 2nd album, but honestly, i don't listen 2 it that much. I waz expecting something different when i got it. I remember liking a few of the trax, but some of them i thought were just kinda average. I'll have 2 give it another listen.
  22. If that picture waz cropped further back, u'd see me in the backseat. :sonny:
