  1. JJ+FP - Here We Go Again One of the best songs they've ever done
  2. Yeah, don't bother with the unathorized stuff. They did that with VHS tapes in the late 90's and they started doing DVDs a year or 2 ago. The quality and stuff on those DVD won't compare 2 what we'll be able 2 buy in stores.
  3. I really doubt FP would write or record something distasteful. I haven't really read about song, but it could also be about people who are so caught up in their own religion that they are talking down on everyone else....or that some people's belifes are way 2 organized. Either way, i highly doubt we can expect something against faith from the man who brought us "The Rain." I will say that this track isn't at the top of my list of trax i wanna hear tho.'
  4. I'm thinkin' the title "Mr. Nice Guy" will actually be about him being the bigger and more intellegent person by not rippin' Eminem. We'll see tho.' Just as much as i want him 2 rip Eminem, i still like the idea of him just ignoring him. I think it would be silly 2 attack him after all these years. If he waz gonna do it, he should have done it during the Willennium era where it would have fit. It's been years, AFTER Born To Reign, and all....it just seems like the time is all off. I haven't followed all the stuff in this post. But i noticed the last few replies were about white emcees/rappers. I don't think color has anything 2 do with music....but it dose have 2 do with the commercial side of things. I think 3rd Bass, Beastie Boys, and Marky Mark are all amongst some of the best artists Hip-Hop has had 2 offer....however, Vanilla Ice waz one of the wackest. Eminem WAS a creative, witty, edgy emcee. I waz one of this biggest fans from 1998 thru' 2000. However, he started slowly changing in2 the awful waste of talent he currently is. His flow and voice have never been a strong point, but now that his production isn't great and his subject matter is weak, he dosen't really have anything good 2 offer anymore...however, i do like his current single, written 2 his daughter. I'd like 2 see someone put him in his place. FP could be opening the door 2 alot of artists and fans speaking out against him.
  5. Wow! I'm blown away that so many people voted Code Red. I think it would be interesting 2 see what current so-called Rap and Hip-Hop fans would say if they heard the album, but never heard it b4. I think it woul make alot of people realize they've had JJ+FP all wrong the whole time and they are simply amongst the very best (if not the very best) in Hip-Hop....of all time.
  6. That's cuz that when it waz made. I see one or 2 pop up on ebay every year. One of these days i'll get around 2 getting a few. The music comes 1st...all that other stuff comes second.
  7. I know Jeff did some of them....but i thought he did all of them. I remember seeing credits at the end of the some of the shows saying Jeff did them. I'm pretty sure i'm right on this, but maybe someone can look this up.
  8. I've only read the things u guys have typed out...and things sound pretty good. I'd listen 2 the interview but i gotta get 2 work in a few minutes...i'm definitly checkin' this 2nite tho.' This album at least has alot of surprises. I don't expect it 2 be better than Willennium due some of the cameos and out-of-character kinda trax...but i know that outta-character type stuff may also make it his best album since it's seems alot more Fresh Prince and less-Columbia movie start type stuff. Makes me really wanna hear this album NOW. One think i really like is that Mary J. Blige did another song with him. "Got To Be Real" wazn't what i wanted...i'm thinkin' this other song with her is gonna be amazing.
  9. Some people clown me when i talk about the difference between Hip-Hop and Rap. They can keep clownin' me all they want, cuz a Hip-Hop historian just supported my point with a comment in that article. Nelly is a pretty ignoarant person when it comes 2 music. His lyrics are trash and his beats are empty, trendy and disposable. There are a few trax by him that i like, like Over And Over, Ride Wit Me, Dillemma, and My Place....but it's simply 4 the song...not the substance. He has what it takes 2 sell some records now, but he dosen't have what it takes 2 stick around much longer. U'll see the same thing happen 2 50 Cent, Ja-Rule, and lots of others. When u make music stricly 2 make money, u will fall flat on your face in a matter of time. That's why i like artists like Fresh Prince. He'll do something strictly 4 the clubs and sales, like "Gettin' Jiggy Wit It"...but then he'll turn around and do a song like "The Rain." One dementional artists can't stand the test of time...but FP, LL, and Latifah have accomplished this feat, and their music backs all that up.
  10. I wouldn't compare it 2 "Summertime"...but i do like the song alot. I put it on the end of all my Hip-Hop summertime mix CDs. Classic pioneer disco-Hop-Hop music!! I just got done listening 2 a Top 40 radio station and they were playing Avril Laviegn's (sp?) "Nobody"...i really like that song!!
  11. Yeah, while i don't remember the scene in detail, i just remember him dancing 2 a Hip-Hop beat 4 a second...which, if i'm right, did sound like one of Jeff's tag beats. I remember wanting them 2 release a Hip-Hop/R-N-B/Jazz CD featuring all the great music and tags he did 4 the show.
  12. Redman is actually a part of Def Squad. That's Erick Sermon's clique. Parish's side waz Hit Squad. I only remember Das EFX being part of the Hit Squad. Redman is part of Erick and Keith Murray's clique. Redman and Das EFX did a song or 2 2gether tho.'
  13. Man, i hate this topic...cuz i don't know which one 2 choose. I voted Code Red since it has so many flavas and different subject matter on each track. Homebase waz my fav for YEARS tho'. I just think that album is kinda dated compared 2 Code Red...very early 90's...which is my favorite era of music. I think He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper or Homebase is their best album tho'....the overall quality and theme.
  14. JENNIFER LOPEZ - Get Right USHER - Caught Up
  15. I remember the scene but i don't remember the music. Wazn't it just a like a Hip-Hop beat that playes for like 3 seconds?
  16. Thanx!! Lookin' stylish as always...looks like Jada dressed him again.
  17. That is cool. I think that remix will be really interesting. All kinds of different talent on it...it'll be cool 2 see how they blend. It looks like FP is doin' things right...soundtracks, cameo appearances, new style on 1st single....BIG things are on the way.
  18. FP has opened doors 4 nearly everyone in Hip-Hop, and those that were already open, he opened wider. Whether people or other artists like him or not, they need 2 be grateful 4 what he's done. Jealous haters attack him 4 being a positive person. But those same people embrace negative things and FP dosen't call them out by name. He'll address what he dosen't agree with, but he never singles out a certain person. It's all about class. FP has got it...not many others do.
  19. SHAQUILLE O'NEAL feat. PETER GUNZ + PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT - Make This A Night To REmember
  20. HECK 2 tha YES!! As fans, we need 2 do our job, totally support all this musical moves he's makin.' So many of u doubted him saying his last few albums were his last albums...but now he has a whole new breath of fresh air in his career and it can only lead 2 bigger things....providing we back him/them 100%. Let's Get Busy, Baby!
  21. YEAH!! I'm hyped!! That's a nice way 2 follow up a day where i spend all my money on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on DVD, Sharktale, and the Hitch soundtrack. Spread the word people.
  22. I havn't seen the video yet....i'm waiting 2 see how i'll like it when i finally do. My man Jayson didn't like the song that much...but then he saw the video and loved it, which made him like the song more. Alot of rappers rely on good videos 2 make their crappy songs sucessful. In FP's case, i don't think any of us think it's a bad song...some of us just wanted one thing and got another...but the video sounds like it's capable of making us like it more. I like the song, but i think the video will make me love it.
  23. COCO LEE - I Will Be Your Friend This is a nice breezy R-N-B/Pop song. It plays at my work, i liked the song, then found her CD used for only $3. About Brian McKnight...his new album comes out next Tuesday!! I plan on picking it up along with the Hitch soundtrack, Omarion's album, Sharktale on DVD, and the 1st season of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Lord be with my poor credit card.
