  1. I really like his track "I'm Wanted"...but from what i've heard, that waz only a taste of what he has 2 offer. I don't think that song would have been one of his best if we heard the whole album. Over the past year, i did drop Marcus and Kel e-mails but they never got back 2 me. I'm not sure if they even check those e-mail accounts anymore cuz they always replied 2 me b4.
  2. I didn't check any of those links...are any of them really work lookin' at? It's a shame they can't give credit where credit is due...but look at it this way. It's getting the word out 2 people who would never be reading about this. It's the ultimate way 2 street team...just have everyone else do the work. Alot of those people probably stole it from the original people who stole it from this site. It's just snowballing. Alot of the people who read all the newz on those sites may get their interest sparked in JJ+FP/WS and they'll end up coming here anyway.
  3. Yeah, they did 4 trax 2gether. Look at it this way tho'...Jazzy Jeff had a big part on at least 1 more BWS style and it got cut. Warren G did at least 2 trax for BWS. Wyclef also worked with him while on Columbia. It's very easy 2 overlook trax due 2 quality of the music AND legal stuff. I really hope Petey Pablo isn't on the album, he has nothing good 2 offer.
  4. The CD they sent me has "The Streets Know That" as the main track...with his "Air Force One" parody dedicated 2 Timberlands. Then there is 3 freestyles on there also. However, a freestyle from Kel Spence is like a real song...unlike Jay-Z and Eminem freestyles...Kel's actually stay on point and say alot. When u hear Kel's music, he's the perfect mix of Rakim and Fresh Prince. All the lyrics are on point and don't stray from the main topic. He keeps things positive, tastefull, and realer than anybody i've heard in years. Underground or mainstream, Hip-Hop needs this cat!! He waz gonna drop his album on his site, but they kept delaying when u could get it...and then the site went down. I'm definitly gonna ask seller where he got it and if there is anything else from him i could get.
  5. TWISTA + FAITH - Hope This songs needs 2 hit number 1. The best commercial Hip-Hop song out in months!! One of the best in years!!
  6. This is what happened 2 my man Chris who runs Cyber TLC. The site grew so big that stuff waz stolen from his site all the time. Some newz articles even listed his site as their official website when he did get credit.
  7. williefromphilly, Marcus must have sent u something different than what he sent me. He sent me a CD with "The Streets Know That" plus "The Timberland Song" (his take on Nelly's Air Force Ones") and 3 freestyles. I just doubt that Kel's album is comin' out cuz his site is down, and i don't think he waz ever intending 2 get on a big label. He wanted 2 release it in 2003.
  8. I waz lookin' on ebay and found an ultra rare gem. I found a 12" vinyl single of Kel Spencer's single "The Promised Land." U better believe i'm gonna see if i can get a snippet of the track out 2 Tim in the next few months. If it's half as dope as his single "The Streets Know That," it'll be blazin.' Looks like his album is never gonna drop...so this is the next best thing!!
  9. :hilarious: That is hilarious....it actually makes me wanna listen 2 the song!! :hilarious:
  10. Why dose everyone say "Miami" waz a latin influenced song? It didn't have any latin flava until Miami Sound Machine did that remix 2 it. Out of Miami, La Fiesta, and I Can't Stop, i think "Miami" waz the weakest track. All those things people are complaining about don't really bug me...unless the album waz filled with all of those qualities. I have a feeling this new album will be nothing like the albums he did on Columbia...so don't be 2 worried.
  11. Yeah, i don't like some of Snoops stuff...but he's one of those multi-faced artists who can do a dope song and then a bland/boring song. I have faith in this idea tho'...it all depends on chemistry.
  12. I noticed how some members here have some warnings that are kinda old. I waz just thinkin' it'd be nice 2 lighten up on a few people who got warnings months ago who have changed their behavior. I think it's silly 2 let them keep warning 4 4givable reason that are months old. Of course, if i a memeber has warnings for things they still or if they are new, i'd leave them on there 4 a lil' longer.
  13. Oh yeah, De La Soul has a cameo in the beginning of it as well.
  14. No way, that waz strictly a character. It's kinda funny cuz Jeff's character waz always alot more of a stretch than FP's waz. If u see Jazzy on TV or read his interviews, he's nothing like the character, he's a very smart, down 2 earth person with a passion for music. Go check The Magnificent board on this site and check some of his interviews.
  15. Thanx 4 that!! It's good 2 see that the newz is out there. The site has an article saying how Murder Inc. is closing down cuz they also carried out a bunch of drug related things and even murders. I'm glad that awful label is closing down. Ashanti waz the only talent every on the label. She's been trying 2 slowly break away from their image/style as u can tell by the way her albums have progressed.
  16. I think they are great videos. Undeniable Hip-Hop classics, but when u are looking 4 quality, the style, the concept of the music videos, etc...those are the ones i felt were the best.
  17. Yeah, it's a good video. I think it's cool how some videos can bring a song 2 life. I think "1,000 Kisses" helped alot of people (who actually saw the video) appriciate the song more. "Freakin' It" waz kinda similar. Okay song...cool but simple video makes it even cooler. Alot of people abuse this idea tho.' They take awful songs and make them hits...Ja-Rule, Nelly, G-Unit have all used this trick more than a few times. It just shows how the mainstream fanbase is tho'...show them some flashy videos with pretty colors and their simple minds are brainwashed in2 liking a perfectly awful song.
  18. Of course i use the "JJ+FP" abbreviation...but that's a given. I'll probably called Lost + Found "L+F"...but when u are using stuff like "PJDU"...it makes me think 2 hard, which is never good.
  19. A few weeks ago i bought the movie Brown Sugar cuz i always wanted 2 see it and it waz on sale. I just watched it 2nite. This movie is amazing. It's a great feel-good, tasteful Hip-Hop romantic comedy. The whole movie mixes love and Hip-Hop the whole way thru'out it. Queen Latifah and Mos Def has big parts in the movie and it also features cameos of artists as themselves...like Russle Simmons, Doug E. Fresh, Slick Rick, Dana Dane, Jermaine Dupri, Talib Kweli, Method Man, and Angie Martinez. This movie waz created for all people who grew up on Hip-Hop. The characters are only 3-5 years older than me and i could relate 2 so much of it. Anyone new 2 Hip-Hop or only exposed 2 the stuff on the radio, watch this movie 4 a taste of some good stuff. The DVD also has music videos from Erykah Badu + Common Sense, and Mos Def + Faith.
  20. BONNIE MCKEE - Somebody Wow! I saw her perform this song live on MTV. Simply amazing. She's like the Alicia Keys of pop rock. I think the people who have open minds should really give this song a listen if they can, it's AMAZING!! The song about not allowing yourself 2 feel lonely becuz there is somebody in this world who will enter your life soon. I saw the single in Wal-Mart for $2.88 and had 2 get it. The studio version of the song is blowing me away just as much as the live performance did. R-N-B legend George Duke directed the choir in the chorus. Other than that, i waz listening 2 Jason Mraz' album "Waiting For My Rocket To Come" album, the Beastie Boys "Licensed To Ill" album and NSS16's track "OopDeeWopDee." ....talk about equlectic.
  21. I think when people do stuff like that, it comes back 2 them one way or another. No need 2 really stress over it. I still hope a few people slash the tires on their car and break all the windows tho.' Then they could air that on TV just like those fools aired their ignorant skit.
  22. Here's what i think the BEST FP videos are... Wild Wild West Will 2K Just The Two of Us But here are my FAVORITE FP videos Just Cruisin' 1,000 Kisses So Fresh
