how much jjfp on the new big will
JumpinJack AJ replied to Hero1's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I never heard him say that b4....but i have heard him say he dosen't let alot of people in2 his studio when he's creating cuz he dose anyone 2 hear his weak stuff. One song i've always wanted 2 hear by him waz titled "Sign Your Name" which waz a love song recorded for Jada for the Big Willie Style album. He talked about it on Oprah. -
Don't 4get Wes!! He may have just returned, but lets remember all the tyme he's spent with us and all the time he put in2 his website and street teaming.

2Pac only dissed Dr. Dre cuz of him leaving Deathrow and Suge added all the fuel 2 the flame that he could. 2Pac didn't know Dr. Dre well enuff 2 feel that way, Dr. Dre talked about it in a 1999/2000 interview i have in a Rap Pages or XXL magazine. Dr. Dre would have at least done 2Pac's music justice if not made it updated, but true 2 the original style. I think Afenie needs 2 stop letting people work on his music unless it waz people who worked with him when he waz alive...like Shock-G, Johnny J, Easy Mo Bee, SoulPower, etc. I think all of the above would gladly do more work on his upcoming releases. They actually knew the man and cared about making quality music. Shock-G has some great lines about 2Pac on his solo album. I'll try 2 post them sometime soon. One day, i hope they release mastered versions of all of his stuff in it's original form. No remixed, updated beats!! If they put all that stuff out in a box set, we can hear the music they way it waz intended 2 be.

MELISSA SCHUMAN - Always Man, this song is amazing. Acoustic R-N-B song off the Love Don't Cost A Thing soundtrack. It's amazing that this song is coming from the super-hot blond who waz in the group Dream (This Is Me, He Loves You Not).

Well, i've been in college 4 a long time. One of my favorite lines in the movie How High, where Redman is looking at the campus and says something along the lines of "man, if did 6 years at community college, i'll can pull at least 12 outta this place." I have so many credits, but only 3 classes left (2 math and 1 science). I've wasted alot of time and money on those classes but i'll graduate one day. I work and do alot of theater so i havn't taken a full semester in years. When i do graduate, it'll ultimatly do nothing 4 me (alot of the interludes on Kanye West's CD are true). However, it'll be nice 2 have the stupid peice of paper when i do graduate. Anyways, my best advice is, get focused, get good grades now, cuz u don't wanna waste lots of time and money later.

Inside the CD insert, 2Pac's mothers talks about how Eminem came 2 her asking if he could re-work some of his songs. He didn't ask 4 a 2Pac verse 4 her own album or 4 anything in return and refused 2 take anything from her. She said it waz that, which made her wanna allow him 2 do this. She said 2Pac's music waz created out of his own heart without asking 4 anything back and that reminded her of all that. She gave Eminem TONS of acappellas. He single handedly ruined the album. He just wouldn't rap over these boring beats and he'd never work with the guests on the album (other than Nate Dogg and The Outlawz). Alot of true 2Pac fans are gonna hate him 4 this. I'm not dissing Eminem cuz i think he sucks as an artist. I like what he did with "One Day At A Time" and "Runnin'" on the Ressurection album...but only 1 or 2 songs produced by him are okay on this album...the rest of strictly crappy versions of the songs from his own mind. I gave him a chance 2 do something great with 2Pac's music and he failed miserably. If it waz a bunch of Deathrow era stuff, it wouldn't bug me as much cuz the lyrics wouldn't be on point as much...but these lyrics are great and now boring beats are put under them. Never let a boy do a man's work again.

I think Will is flat-footed.
JumpinJack AJ replied to FrshPrnceCharmng's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I don't think u are right on that. Have u seen The Legend of Bagger Vance? There's like 10 seconds of the film dedicated 2 a close up of his feet. -
The US version only has the movie and the "Making of..." featurette which dose have lots of FP in it. They didn't work hard at all on the US version of the DVD. The other stuff is just stupid. The photo stills are mostly designes 4 the robots...FP in in about 7 of the 30 pictures. Don't ask me why, but it has a trailor 4 the release of Arrested Developtment (THE TV SHOW) on DVD. On the overseas version, what is all the bonus stuff? It's like 4 hours of robot talk and hardly any FP like i would assume.

I picked up 2Pac's new album "Loyal To The Game" 2day and i'm highly disappointed. Eminem has simply ruined it. Most of 2Pac's trax chosen 4 this album are from the 1993/1994 era. Alot of the last few featured alot of trax that he did on Deathrow simply 2 fulfill his contract and get off the label (which he wasn't happy on). Sadly, that resulted in trax that didn't mean much. Alot of so-called 2Pac fans don't know what he's really about cuz of the Deathrow stuff. Anyways, his subject matter is dope on this album and they lyrics great. Eminem however runined the album. He sucks at producing!! The beats are so boring, trendy, empty. 2Pac would have never rhymed over these beats!! They don't represent him at all!! Why would Afeni let Em mess with 2Pac's legacy. What's worse is that Eminem put himself and his no-talent friends like G-Unit, Obie Trice, and G-Unit on the album. 2Pac would probably never worked with those fools if he waz still around...in fact, he'd probably diss their wack-selves. Eminem claims 2 be a fan of 2Pac's...DID HE NOT HEAR HIS MUSIC!?!?!?!? What an idiot!! The "Bonus Tracks" at the end of the album are the saving grace. They are much closer 2 the sound 2Pac would have had. The album cover is dope tho'...no smoke, guns wack-Westside signs thrown up or anything. Just a nice pic of 2Pac in white clothing, gold classes and minor jewelry (from the Me Against The World era). I really wanna hear the opinions of others who are 2Pac fans. I for 1, and highly disappointed in what Eminem has done with his work. The original production is probably much better than the current empty, boring stuff Em put under it.

2PAC + DIDO - Don't You Trust Me This is one of the better trax off the new album.

Just a reminder...I, Robot waz released on DVD 2day. The extras kinda suck, but at least it has a Making of... featurette on it. It's available in both Full Screen and Wide Screen. It'll be on sale in most locations thru' Saturday. It's on sale for $15 at both Circuit City and Wal-Mart right now.

Man, FP has been unstoppable for the past year and a half!! I can't wait 2 pick up Sharktale. Looks i'll be spending lots of money in the upcoming months. Hopefully alot of it is going in2 his pockets.
-
FP usually cordinates his gear with the track...for instance, "...Jiggy..." waz a fly dance track and video features trendy styles cloths and elaborate costumes. "...Two of Us" waz a heartfelt soulful joint and FP waz rockin' smooth, dressy casual earth tones. "So Fresh" waz old skool and he grew a full-out hightop fade again 4 the video!!

Where were all this Nick Cannon fans when i waz being attacked 4 likin' him?!?!

Is it reall that hard to make a "Crunk" beat?
JumpinJack AJ replied to Vipa's topic in Caught in the Middle
I don't mind the...um...."crunk" sound when it's done right. Some of those beats have the same kinda vibe as early Hip-Hop stuff like "Planet Rock." That "crunk" sound isn't the only sound comin' out of the dirty south. I like beats like Usher's "Yeah" and TLC's "Come Get Some" but when u hear a song like that 100 times (like "Yeah" it gets old pretty quick). I think any album or artist that relies on that sound 2 much is kinda pathetic tho.' For instance, Ciera's "Goodies" waz an okay song...but the beat is disposable (and has her really having 2 prove her vocal talents). Here new joint proves she can handle a different less trendy sound but it hasn't proved anything in the vocal area (i haven't heard her album). I knew about Lil' Jon since the early 90's when he did alot of bass stuff working under Jermaine Dupri. He dose have talent...but his obnoxious vocal style and trendy sound is what got him popular. He dose prove he still has talent when u hear Usher's "Red Light" and that new track he did with Usher and Ludacris. It's his signature style without the disposable, trendy "crunk" sound. I think the whole misusing the word "crunk" is really silly 2. I used 2 use it back in the mid-90's cuz T-Boz (from ATL) used it as a way 2 say something waz crazy and wild and it waz kinda funny. Now the whole "dirty south" rap style that has embraced the word has made it have no meaning at all. Just like the word "hate" and "murder"...those words mean nothing anymore cuz ignorant fools have blew them up and misused them so much. By the way, couldn't hear your beat. -

Man, i SUCK at math. 2 me, u only need basic math in life 2 get by. I'll never go in2 a field of work where i'll be answering something like "Z= a/5 x 5.67 x(bc - 976/43) - 483769405...solve for a." If u are okay in math, just push thru' and stay focused. I waz always a notoriously average student and while i usually did good in English, computer classes, and especially art-related classes, i ALWAYS stuggled and often did average (or less) in math and science classes. As a college student, i'm telling u 2 stay focused and learn all u can when it comes 2 that stuff. As u get older, u get more stuborn and it gets harder 2 learn. U don't wanna waste time in classes when u are an adult who can chose 2 do something else. On top of that, doing bad in classes NOW will make u have 2 take many more in college which means alot of wasted time and money. I failed my math class this semester which means i just threw $400 out the window. Just do your best and stay determined.

Thanx 4 those!! Something is kinda funny about seeing FP dress like that.

how much jjfp on the new big will
JumpinJack AJ replied to Hero1's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
The thing is...i have a feeling most of FP's unreleased stuff is very dope. I'm not saying that cuz he's my favorite emcee...i just have a strong feeling that most of has 2 be insanely ill. Look at the JJ+FP and WS b-sides...New Kids On The Block, From Da South, Get Hyped, Holla Back....all very good. Better than some of the trax on their respective albums. -
I think the vocal sample waz a really cool idea. The beat is nice, tho' it's been done 100 times b4. His skillz are average...lyrics less than average, and attitude, annoying.

2 PAC & JADA - PARENTS JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND
JumpinJack AJ replied to fan 4ever's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Me and my potna in crime did a video like that 2 Snow's "Informer" back in 1993. I HAD 2 lipsync Snow's part cuz my friend couldn't keep up with the lyrics...he did MC Shan's verse of course. -
i used to watch nick cannon on nickalodeon when i was little, but i haven't followed up on his album? is it any good? There's some people on this board that hate his music (most of them i'm sure haven't really even heard it). I got his album and i love it. Slick mainstream production and positive, clean, sometimes deep, sometimes funny lyrics. He brings ALOT of the same flava that emcees had in the late 80's and early 90's but with a new skool twist. I never watched his stuff on TV so i heard the music 4 what it waz...which is probably a good thing. His album came out about a year ago...i don't see how it can be considered old school. :kekeke:

That is one of my favorite trax by them. Not only cuz the song is dope...but it's another one of those songs i can relate 2 and wish i didn't. Right now i'm listening 2... DESTINY'S CHILD - Why You Actin' (A mid-tempo jam b-side off the Australian version of the "Lose My Breath" CD single). Good song, but i see why it didn't make the album compared 2 the other trax.

Those pix are simply amazing!!! Thanx 4 sharing them!!!! Make sure they end up in the picture gallery of this site!!

BRIAN MCKNIGHT - Thinkin' 'Bout Me This song is amazing. It's off the Nutty Professor II soundtrack. When i heard the song, i nearly pulled my car over 2 the side of the road cuz it hit me so hard. His man read my mind when it comes 2 something i've gone thru' kinda recently.
