I don't like Ludacris cuz alot of his music is just sleazy sex stories with no imagination. I think some of his cameo appearances are cool, but that's cuz he only needs 2 stay on topic 4 like 8 bars. He dose have some clever lyrics but his overall subject matter turns me off. His voice and flow sometimes are overdone and i can only stand so much commerical dirty south type stuff. I kinda liked him when he 1st came out, but all those "Roll Out, Move Out The Way, Stand Up" type songs kill me, i think they are awful. I thing Usher is a true talent. His live shows are great. He's got 2 concert videos out with the 3rd one on the way. He dosen't lipsync at all. He's one of the hardest working men in show business. If any one comes close 2 touching the crown of the King of Pop, Usher is the man. I'm scared 2 see the colabo album between him and Luda bring out a very stale formula and overdone dirty south vibe.

Back in the day i used 2 play alot of street ball and soccer. Sometimes in the spring and summertime, if me and some friends are hanging out with some free time we might start and unorganized game in a parkinglot or something. Sometimes we'll invent games 2. One time my friend who plays tennis took his racket out of his jeep, and i took my baseball bat outta my trunk (i've always hated baseball...but u never know when u'll need a baseball bat) and we started hitting the spikey-ball-like-things that were falling from a near by tree. It kept us entertained 4 about an hour and a half. :roll:

I think 4 alot of people who grew up on real Hip-Hop, they have come 2 a stage in their life where they can't keep up with music and stuff like that the way they used 2. Since real Hip-Hop is impossible 2 find unless u look 4 info on the internet or dig thru' CD stores, real fans just grew in2 other music styles. They probably got turned off by the Puffy, Mase, Ludacris, Eminem, Master P type stuff and simply don't know that people like De La Soul, KRS-One, Brand Nubian, and Shock-G are still making music. So they probably just started listening 2 other stuff. I know that if i didn't get on the internet so often and go 2 music stores weekly, i would hardly know about any good music coming out. All i see on TV and hear on the radio is trash by 50 Cent, Terror Squad, Chingy, and so on. I don't like that stuff so i would think that rap has changed so much that i'd no longer listen 2 it and move one 2 other music styles i like. When i tell some of my friends "oh, i got that new De La" they are like "De La Soul is still around?!" and they get all excited cuz they don't know that real Hip-Hop music still exists.

I never knew that about him. One thing i truely admire is people who overcome adversity 2 live positive lives. That would be a perfect example.

JAGGED EDGE - True Man

Eminem can really get a topic blazing tho'...ha ha. Whether u like him or hate him, topics with him sure do go on 4ever. Everything has been said about him 100 times tho.' Another reason i don't like him is cuz he's so immature and bitter towards people. I don't care how awful your family life is...u don't treat them and say things about them the way he dose in interviews and music. U keep that stuff 2 yourself, and if u are really a man about it, u makes things right. It's sinnful 2 be as hateful as he can be. Some like Fresh Prince are respectable people with morals. They know how 2 conduct themselves and live right. That why Eminem has stupid issues like lawsuits from his own mother, divorce problems and stuff like that. FP can go thru' divorce and still be on good terms with his ex while building a strong family enviornment. FP once said "never let the weather determine the man" which is a wise statement, but some people live lifestyles and look at life in a way that they bring stuff like that upon themselves. Eminem seems 2 be one of those people.

Yeah, Overbrook struck a deal with Interscope. No news since then.

They aren't finding any...it's all been there. They are just putting it out in albums at a time. I remember when 2Pac first died, there waz news that they had very few unlreased trax from him and that his next album (which waz The 7-Day Theory) waz gonna be those unreleased trax and some of the trax off of Me Against The World (which sales flew up the charts after he passed. I waz like, "That dosen't sound right." Then the newz came out that they had tons of material and that his mother wanted 2 eventually make it all available 2 his supporters.

I don't understand how people can say he's a great rapper. His voice is so annoying and his flow is boring. He has different flows, the only one i like is the one that sounds like his regular talking voice, which he almost never uses anymore.

Yeah, his legacy is kinda watered-down thanx 2 all the stuff that has came out after his death. Those older trax didn't come out cuz he didn't wanna put them out. And the stuff from the Deathrow era waz recorded so quickly so that he could get off the label. That stuff is often very sloppy and pointless compared 2 his real music. It's sad seeing a man who had so many ideas and such a big heart have his legacy twisted by what Deathrow made him look like in his last months. 2Pac's camp knows that his supporters wanna hear his music so i like that they are making it available 2 us in installments every few years. I think the real 2Pac fans understand that he didn't want all that stuff comin' out. It's those Deathrow era fans and all those phoney fools who jumped on the bandwagon after his passing that really have no clue who the man is and think that the weed-smoking thugged out crazy man is who he really was. That's why i liked Tupac: Ressurection, cuz it gave them a taste of the truth. I do think that Eminem is a wack rapper, but i do also know that he dose love Hip-Hop and that he wouldn't wanna ruin 2Pac's legacy, but at the same time, he's new 2 this whole producing thing and that he kinda sticks 2 the same sound which really bugs me since he got 2 play with all those 2Pac acappellas. There are 2 many people 2Pac worked with b4 that should have got 2 remix that stuff, like Easy Mo Bee, Johnny J, DJ Quik, SoulPower, Shock-G/Digital Underground, and so on. I hope that one day they'll release the original versions of these newer trax cuz often the mid-90's original production is better than the current remixed beats put under his vocals. I still urge anyone who can hear the song 2 give it a listen. It's not that Deathrow type stuff at all (after all, it waz recorded b4 he got signed 2 them).

Yeah, his work on his 1st 2 albums is my favorite stuff. The Firm album and his 3rd had their moments, but nothing that impressive overall. After that, i just stopped following him. He got 2 egotistical and bling blingy on the stuff i heard around the end of the 90's. I loved "One Mic" tho.' Of the more popular rappers out that i don't listen 2, i definitly like him more than most of them. I heard only a few trax off Stillmatic and God's Son and whatever they were make me judge quickly and not spend anymore time on them. I guess i'll go back and give them an honest listen. I do know that if Jay-Z and Nas really went at it, Nas would easily wrap the mic cord around Jay-Z's pansy/phoney style.

I saw the a blurry video of it. It's just really disturbing. He rips her out of her car and slams her 2 the ground. This wazn't like the Rodney King tape where he kept getting up and fighting, he just took her 2 the ground like that 4 no reason. There waz another picture of her on her knees, handcuffed. My heart just really went out 2 the woman. I hope this cop pays 4 such a rediculous display of power abuse. If the law dosen't take care of him, it's still in God's hands.

:bang: No!! This is a stupid idea!! I'm not saying that simply cuz i've been a fan of Usher's since 1993 and never really a fan of Ludacris' (tho' his new video is pretty cool). It just dosen't make sense 2 take it so far as 2 do a full album like that. Like The Best of Both Worlds, R. Kelly has a big following and so dose Jay-Z, but 1 or 2 hit songs 2gether dosen't mean a joint album is necessary. I have both of R. Kelly + Jay-Z's albums and they just don't make much sense. They've never kept my attention 4 long. I have a feeling that if this album would happen, it would do the same. "Yeah!" waz a big hit and a good song, but notice that the rest of Usher's album is nothing like that. 1 crunk Lil' Jon track like that waz nice, but more than 1 or 2 would be awful. Usher's other track "Red Light" with Lil' Jon waz alright but i would never wanna see this album materialize. The Best of Both Worlds albums never really complimented either R. Kelly's or Jay-Z's careers and i don't see an album like that do anything 4 either Usher's or Ludacris' careers either. The only joint albums i can think of that made sense were Kenny Lattimore + Chante Moore's and Method Man + Redman's.

"Mr. Guest" can diss LFO all they want, but i love their music. They make feel-good genre blending music that totally comes across as stuff i'd write (especially the Hip-Hop stuff). And their lyrics are far more creative than the pointless trash T.I. writes. If u think i'm offended by those who don't share the same tastes in music as i do, u are seriously mistaken. At the moment, i'm listening 2 Cherokee "Sexy Somethin'"

If Eminem is referring 2 himself, it's quite clear who he stole it from. The 'Prince has made that title very popular himself. I think it's funny since Eminem isn't really an actor. And if it's true that 50 Cent plans 2 do a movie about his own life and career, that's mad played out. He hasn't proven himself yet. He's only sold a few million records 2 some 2-dementional-minded teens. I wonder if 50 will back out and beg FP 2 play his part so that people don't have 2 stare at someone so ugly for 2 hours.

Another reason FP went 4 the glove is cuz he said in a radio interview in 2001/2002 that hitting the human skull hurts your hand really bad (he learned this after training for ALI). Maybe he didn't have his friend in mind, but his own hand...ha ha. I guess it depends on how mad he waz and how much his friend egged him on. I remember my own friends getting in2 pointless fights back in the day...no later than our mid-teens. It just cracks me up that FP would still be doin' that in his 30's.

Right now i'm watching Rap City (from the Basement). T.I.'s new song is on...man, he's wack. AHHH!!! The new Geto Boys track "Yes Yes Y'all" just came on!! This song is good. Not their best, but legends can never make music that bad. This is probably the most mainstream sounding song i've ever heard from 'em. Good stuff!! Ha! I just saw a T.I. cameo in their video.

Yeah, i'm listening 2 the "Who's The Man" soundtrack again. The 2 big hits off it were the ones by Mary J. Blige and Jodeci. I think House of Pain's track waz a single also. Heavy D is my favorite artist on the soundtrack, but his song isn't one of my favorites. It's one of his rare reggae trax that he's done and it features Beenie Man. It also has Biggie's 1st big appearance (as BIG). "Party And BS" is and ill track back when he waz a raw, hungry emcee (none of that Big Poppa stuff). The best song on the soundtrack is easily Pete Rock + C.L. Smooth's. U should check the movie 2. I havn't seen it in ages, but it's a silly Hip-Hop flick featuring Ed Lover and Doctor Dre as cops. It has tons of Hip-Hop cameos like Leaders of The New School and Kris Kross.

Whoa, i can't wait til they bring out the other posters. Seeing FP in choths that fitted is just kinda strange. The zoned-out expression on his face and the shadow/hair combination dosen't look that flattering. I like the way he's leaning on the movies title tho'...The Last First Kiss is still a better title.

Woman Says Police Used Excessive Force at Airport Surveillance Video Looks Routine at First, But Then Takes a Violent Turn "A woman waiting to pick up her mother at the airport in Atlanta says she was dragged from her car by an officer who used excessive force. A lawyer for the officer says he "did not do anything inappropriate." (Dec. 1) - She was dragged out of her car at an airport, slammed to the ground and handcuffed by a burly police officer in full view of a security camera, but Diana Dietrich-Barnes says there was absolutely no need for the officer to use such excessive force. Dietrich-Barnes, 43, was at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport on Nov. 2, waiting to pick up her mother. After circling the airport several times she stopped to check her mother's itinerary. A few moments later, Officer Terence Alexander approached her sport utility vehicle and told her to move on. In the airport surveillance video, her car then appears to briefly back up. Then a police officer opens her car door, yanks her out and throws her to the ground, where she is handcuffed. No fewer than seven police officers surround her. Recounting the scene on "Good Morning America" Monday, Dietrich-Barnes said she was shocked when she saw the excessive use of force in the video. "The whole time I'm laying on the ground, I'm upset, I'm yelling and screaming," she said. "I didn't want my mother to see me like that. It would have been a horrible experience for her to come out and see her daughter laying face down on the concrete with a police officer on top of her." No Use of Excessive Force A lawyer for Alexander disputes Dietrich-Barnes' charge that excessive force was used. "Officer Alexander did not do anything inappropriate, he remained calm throughout the procedure and Ms. Barnes was belligerent, she refused arrest," said Lecora Bowen, Alexander's attorney. On Monday, Dietrich-Barnes had her day in court. Clayton Circuit District Attorney Bob Keller and the judge agreed to drop the charges after viewing the surveillance video. "A failure to obey a command that was given like that is not one that I felt like rose to felony criminal violation proportions," said Keller. Alexander, who says he was injured during the incident, is on paid leave while the police department investigates the incident. 'I Was Hollering for Help' Dietrich-Barnes maintains that she was trying to comply with Alexander's orders to back up as there was a truck ahead of her, when he pulled her from her vehicle. She also questioned police accounts that she injured Alexander with her mirror as she attempted to back up her car. "I have a brand-new Ford Explorer, and they have breakaway mirrors and my mirror was not touched at all," she said. But most upsetting, she said, was the fact that she was characterized as being belligerent when all she was doing was screaming for help. "I was hollering," she said. "I was hollering for help, for people to see what was happening to me. This kind of incident has happened at the airport before. So, I wanted people to see what was happening to me." Meanwhile, Dietrich-Barnes' lawyer, Steven Lister, is considering taking further legal action. "We're examining that possibility," Lister told "Good Morning America." "I would say it's a very real possibility." ------------------------------ I saw this story on AOL and it just disturbed me. It also supports my believe that lots of people who are in uniform simply have issues and should have 2 prove themselves worthy of aquiring their job.

Who knows. "Just Cruisin'" waz a big hit tho'...at least when it came 2 video play. Since Eminem makes music 4 commerical/pop audience, he always attacks what's popular (or most of his fanbase wouldn't get half of his music. Think about it, on The Slim Shady LP, a great Hip-Hop record, he has that Dee Barnes line in "Guilty Concience." Only Hip-Hop fans would know what he's talking about...outsides wouldn't. With The Marshall Mathers LP, he started attacking people like Backstreet Boys and NSYNC. People with a commerical knowlege of music (often crappy pop stuff) will pick up on that quick. He hasn't made music 4 real Hip-Hop heads in awhile so lots of his lyrics are aimed at things in pop culter. "Just Cruisin'" waz big...if he wants 2 take another shot at FP, that would be it. Who really cares what Eminem says tho.' He's a joke. All the things that made him good in the beginning are gone. His lyrics aren't impressive anymore, his voice and flow is not only wack and annoying, but he also has no credibility in the world of Hip-Hop anymore. FP joked about his fame fading in the end of 2001...well, i think we are experiencing the first installment of Eminem's fame fading. Think about it, his core audience of supporters (like myself) have abandoned him becuz he abandoned us.

I just haven't been able 2 get in2 Nas since the late 90's. The music just hasn't been the same...at least not the full albums. I picked it up and looked at it yesterday thought the that the album cover design waz wack...but i do wanna give the album a listen. With the holidays approaching, i sometimes can't stand being in stores cuz so many people are in their...and music stores during the holidays tend 2 have alot of people buying music by artists they know nothing about whether it's 4 themselves or for Christmas presents. There's nothing worse than having a bunch of uneducated people in a music store asking U 2 help them out when u don't work there. :roll:
