  1. U can count on "Nightmare On My Street" playing on the radio every Halloween. I waz just wondering if anyone here heard it on the radio the other day. I caught it on the local Hip-Hop/R-N-B station. My cousin (who is my best friend that i grew up with but i rarely see these days) actually came 2 visit it me at work just 2 make sure i heard it...ha ha. He said he heard it 4 times that day. Anyone else hear it?
  2. RUN-DMC - Big Willie (from 1993's Down With The King)
  3. It's not really anything new from Jeff...it's just a compilation/mixtape type of album. Did any of u go out and support Jeff yesterday when the album dropped?
  4. FP said that when Willennium hit number one, he'd tour. He waz gonna do a really creative tour where there were no headliners but they would tag team the show. For example...maybe JJ+FP come out, do like 3 numbers...they'd finish with "So Fresh"...then Slick Rick would do a few songs, then somebody else...then JJ+FP would come back out, and so on. Just space out each artists stage time and put on a big show. The album never hit number one, so the tour never happened.
  5. I've always thought Jay-Z waz a punk...and now i believe it more than ever.
  6. Thanx!! I really wanna see this movie...which i still call The Last First Kiss.
  7. Touring means rehearsing, lots of traveling, and when u have a family...sometimes that's hard 2 do. After all, it waz the hard work that helped end his 1st marriage. When u got a big movie career as well, that takes up ALOT of time. FP will be able 2 do movies YEARS after he hangs up the mic and family comes 1st. So his lack of touring dose make sense. I do think he needs 2 take advantage of his break from movies 2 focus on touring and strengthening his music career. FP wanted 2 tour with Willennium but fans didn't buy the album the way he wanted.
  8. THANX!! I'll have 2 download these later. I really appriciate this. On a kinda-related note, can anyone seperate the Run-DMC track "Bounce" from the loooooong interlude in front of it on The Beavis + Butthead Experience album? I've been wanting 2 put it on a Run-DMC mix CD for years but there's no way i'm putting it on one with that interlude in the beginning. I think it's like 3 minutes.
  9. Daylight Savings is great when u take it back and hour...but it sucks when u are loosing an hour. I actually used daylight savings time as an excuse 2 go 2 a party after leaving another...which wazn't a good idea cuz i waz crazy tired the next day at work.
  10. Stevie Wonder - Yester-Me, Yester-You, Yesterday
  11. I don't think it's worth proving he's straight since u have 2 work really hard 2 try and suggest the character is gay. Very stupid asumption and very stupid topic. Nuff said.
  12. While he waz promoting I, Robot, JJ+FP did some shows. With each project (like when the release albums) they have done promotinal performances which go from 1 song 2 a few. They haven't done a real tour in years tho.' Hopefully they try it with FP's new album.
  13. I think Kanye has some talent...but i also think he's overrated. I have his album but don't listen 2 it much.
  14. Yeah, really interesting. I think The Best of Both Worlds thing is a bunch of crap. They just don't have any chemistry. It dosen't make sense 4 them 2 make albums 2gether (or tour). They simply don't have it. It dosen't matter if u can sell millions alone...their music dosen't make any sense 2gether. People who like top 10 music might like it...but i don't think R. Kelly fans or Jay-Z fans really like their albums 2gether that much. I think it's really messed up that Jay-Z is playing stupid and doing shows himself. The term "the show must go on" makes sense under certain circumstances...but not when people come 2 see them perform 2gether.
  15. Run-DMC - Queens Day This would have been a great video/single. Crown Royal waz so overlooked cuz they were trying 2 monopolize over the rock/rap style they started rather than promoting with the kinda stuff Hip-Hop fans would have loved. "Together Forever" is a dope song and one of the best Hip-Hop videos in recent years but it just didn't get any play. "Ahhh" and "Queens Day" would have been great. I still think "Rock Show" waz a dope video tho'.
  16. Nice!!! Thanx!! I'm gonna see the movie this week.
  17. Rough Version equals crappy remix reguardless the production. I think the song should just be left alone.
  18. Yeah, MC Hammer and NWA were cool. Eminem disses whoever. We know he dose it strictly 4 the attention. Besides, MC Hammer and Dr. Dre probably havn't talked in years. Wyclef and LL's beef never really existed. One of them did an interview in 2000ish where they said problems between them never really existed but that they did those trax anyway. It waz reported that LL waz actually somehow involved in Canibus' contract and waz making money off the few copies of his album that sold. I forget what the article said, it waz years ago. But it kinda sounded like LL and Wyclef were playing Canibus 2gether. I some of NWA's stuff...but i don't consider them as musically creative as Digital Underground, lyrically creative as Slick Rick, De La Soul, or as classic as JJ+FP.
  19. I agree with Jim...it's one of those songs people shouldn't be able 2 make crappy remixes of of. Jive has kept the acapellas 2 themselves and every remix of it is good. If they put the acapella on singles or promo singles alot of people would be messing with a modern classic.
  20. Killing people and Hip-Hop/Rap music have nothing 2 do with each other. Murders kills people. Rappers rap. When it comes 2 street life, u can only rap about the same topic so many times. It's ignorant 2 ignore certain emotions, ideas, etc just becuz u wanna keep everything street. Life is life and music should be about life, not just one side of it.
  21. That's really stupid. Nothing ever pointed 2 his character being gay.
  22. JJ+FP and NWA were on 2 different sides of Hip-Hop. U can almost expect them 2 knock JJ+FP's style of music. The funny thing his...NWA backed MC Hammer who made crossover-appeal, clean Hip-Hop as well. NWA and MC Hammer toured 2gether and they even made a cameo in the beginning of his "2 Legit 2 Quit" video. Look at MC Ren's career now...he dosen't have one.
  23. Hip-Hop originated from the streets, but it grew musically in2 an artform of self expression. Not everybody comes from the same 'hood so it's stupid 2 say all Hip-Hop should sound a certain way. JJ+FP came up in an enviorment where they came up in a Hip-Hop background, but partying and comedy waz a much bigger influence. It would have been phoney 4 them 2 put on an image that wazn't true 2 them....and that's the perfect example of what fools are doing these days (and have been doing 4 awhile). Some people need 2 wake up and realize their favorite artists are fakes and they are lying 2 u. U can count on JJ+FP and other true skool Hip-Hoppers 2 give u what's real...even if it's not what u want.
