  1. There's some stuff dropping 2day. Just thought i'd put it out there 4 people who like the following artists. ALBUMS - CDs NEW EDITION "One Love" This is what i've been waiting 4. One of the groups that 1st mixed R-N-B and Hip-Hop...launching the careers of Bobby Brown, Bell Biv DeVoe, Johnny Gill (Maryland in da house!!), Ralph Tresvant. Bobby Brown isn't on this album but i'm sure NE will be offering up their traditional style in a fresh way. ($9.99 at Circuit City) WILL DOWNING "Christmas, Love, And You" A Christmas album from an R-N-B/Soul legend. I wanna give this a listen. FABOLOUS "Real Talk" I think he's been one of the better commercial rappers in recent years, but i've never been a big fan of him over all. I do think his current single "Breathe" is blazing and one of the best songs out now. I'll have 2 give the album a listen 2 see what he's bringing this time out. ($9.99 at Circuit City) JA-RULE "R.U.L.E." Looks like this guy won't give up. The music (and album covers) has gotten worse and worse since his peak of being slightly barable in 2000ish. RUBEN STUDDARD "I Need An Angel" I liked the last 2 singles/videos he dropped but dont know anything else about this guy. BRITNEY SPEARS "My Prerogative: Greatest Hits" Compilation of the biggest hits from astronomically huge Pop singer. Some of the more R-N-B/Trip-Hop stuff ain't so bad in my opinion...i wanna hear the 3 new trax on it. Comes with a bonus DVD ($9.99 at Circuit City) SEAL "Best of...: 1991-2004" Greatest Hits compilation from radio friendly soul singer. BEE GEES "Number Ones" Let's not front on the Bee Gees...compilation of their number ones. MOVIES - DVDs Barber Shop (Re-Released with extras) The Wash. This wasn't re-released. I waz just wondering if anyone here saw it and if it waz any good? Circuit City has it on sale for $6.99 this week. The Legend of Bagger Vance. I saw this in Wal-Mart's $5.50 bin. If y'all are at Wal-Mart and want the movie, check 4 it. I only saw one copy here where i live.
  2. My topic waz supposed 2 be kinda humorous....don't take it 2 seriously. No, i do not like Jay-Z, but that wazn't a hate post...i'm just making fun of him due 2 the Best of Both Worlds newz...this isn't any different from when i made fun of FP with that who Born To Ski thing. Don't let other people's over-sensitive opinion from that other post rub off on u (after all, wazn't i busy defending someone i liked).
  3. Sorry 2 hear about that. Just be thankful that something worse didn't happen. Just take care of yourself and it'll be healing and feeling better b4 u know it. If it makes u feel any better, i slammed my finger on a drawer 2day which had me in extreem pain and bleeding in 2 different places. Of course my co-worker is laughing at me cuz pain is often very funny. My best way of controling the pain waz biting my lip and punching the closest padded stool. Of course, when in that much pain i didn't think and waz hitting it with the same hand i just hurt.
  4. It's seriously called that on the latin version?!? That's so stupid. His career in Hip-Hop has nothing 2 do with the show.
  5. I don't care about any movies right now...just give me an album and a tour.
  6. I just wanted 2 drop news on this kinda old CD i came across. I waz lookin' online for some Run-DMC stuff i didn't have last week when i can across this 1998 CD filled live performances by the biggest names (and songs) of that time. U can find this CD on www.half.com mega cheap if anyone is interested. Any Run-DMC fan desperate for something new should check it out. Here's the tracklisting 1. 4 SOME LOVE - Breaking Out 2. 4 SOME LOVE - Falling In Love 3. USHER - U Make Me Wanna 4. RUN-DMC - Greatest Hits Medley (6 minutes long) 5. NAUGHTY BY NATURE - Greatest Hits Medley (7 minutes long) 6. IMMATURE - Give Up The Ghost 7. MACK 10 - Back Yard Boogie 8. K-CI & JO JO - You Bring Me Up 9. JON B. - They Don't Know (he might be lipsyncing this...sounds 2 much like the album version) 10. CHANGING FACES - G.h.e.t.t.o.u.t 11. TOO SHORT - Life's Too Short 12. DRU HILL - Sleeping In My Bed (Remix) 13. DRU HILL - We're Not Making Love No More 14. TOTAL & MISSY 'MISDEMEANOR' ELLIOT - What About Us 15. KURTIS BLOW - The Breaks 16. DA BRAT - Give It 2 U Check it 4 youself...if u like late '90's and Hip-Hop and R-N-B...it's a nice way 2 take yourself back 4 a price as cheap as it is.
  7. They better not try 2 tour. Jay-Z will have ego issues, have his camp pepper spray them down, retitle the tour, and have his no-talent friends join him 2 finish. THE WACKEST OF BOTH WORLDS.
  8. I stressed in my post that i considered those amoungst my favs that were very good albums. Not classics. I think that term is used way 2 losely.
  9. P. Diddy wants 2 do alot of things that he never will simply cuz he thinks he's a lot more talented than he actually his.
  10. Well, Fresh Prince is of course Will's name (the only name he waz know by at the time they started the show) and his character waz forced 2 live with his relatives in Bel-Air. It's not really that complicated.
  11. Hmmm...very cool. Is this site legit? This may be a bootleg. I've never seen anything called this. It may be the one bootleg i have which has an interview...but it cuts out b4 it's over.
  12. I've heard of few of K-OS' trax and i've loved what i've hard. I havn't heard anything off his brand new album...but i'm sure it's as good as the stuff on his last album that i've heard. I'll catch up on them soon. Jazzy Jeff likes him as well. I remember him talking about him in a kinda recent interview.
  13. I know i'm gonna miss alot, but here are a few of what i consider the best albums of the past 10 years...i dont' know if i'd consider them "classics"...but definitly the best. Fresh Prince + Jazzy Jeff "Willennium" Fres Prince "Big Willie Style" LL Cool J "Mr. Smith" Biz Markie "Weekend Warrior" Lauryn Hill "The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill" TLC " CraZySeXyCOol" De La Soul "Bionix" De La Soul "Stakes Is High" MC Hammer "V: Inside Out" Talib Kweli "Quality" Gang Starr "Moment of Truth" Rakim "The 18th Letter" Arrested Development "Heros of The Harvest" Speech "Hoopla" A Tribe Called Quest "Beats, Rhymes, & Life" Digital Undergrond "Future Rhythm" 2Pac "Me Against The World" EPMD "Back In Business" Heavy D + The Boyz "Nuttin' But Love" KRS-One "I Got Next" Pete Rock + CL Smooth "The Main Ingredient" Busta Rhymes "The Coming" There's a few of my favs.
  14. Yeah, i picked it up a few weeks ago. I do like the album alot...it's definitly the kinda stuff i wait 4 drop. "Church" is my fav track on it as well. However, this new album isn't as good as "Bionix"...i waz expecting a lil' more from De La.
  15. "How waz it different working with FP compared 2 other artists?"
  16. I remember seeing FP calenders on ebay years ago...but i'm pretty sure they were unathorized...cuz that would have been the only reason i wouldn't have gotten one.
  17. Will Smith has never had an official calender and i doubt there will be one. There might be a Sharktale calender tho.'
  18. Yeah, there's beatboxing in "Hush"...the beat would actually be quite empty without it. Very uneek trax...the beat, the R-N-B vocals....just great.
  19. "What do you think is the biggest misconception of FP as an emcee?"
  20. This is one of those situations where u gotta let us know if u really love old skool or if u think it would be safer 2 get one of their new albums. Of course, 2 familarize yourself with their music, they both of Greatest Hits albums. Rakim's 1997 "The 18th Letter" is one of my favorite new skool albums. U can also find a version of it that has the new album and a greatest hits as a bonus 2nd disc. U can also find a cheaper Eric B. + Rakim greatest hits "Millennium Hits" CD but i think it has fewer trax than that one packaged with Rakim's solo album. If u are thinkin' new albums from KRS-One, i'm not one 2 ask...i havn't gotten a new KRS album in about 6 years (shame on me!). I'll catch up one day. I can say that i think u'd like his 1997 album "I Got Next." I think that album is just dope. U can also get a Boogie Down Productions "Greatest Hits" album if u look 4 it. That'll sum up all the old stuff 4 ya.
  21. I couldn't tell he waz acting.
  22. "Scream" Nobody ever talks about that track. But the production is just dope. Simply unadulterated Hip-Hop. The live-show feel of it is great and a big part of JJ+FP's chemistry. They are great live and putting that in2 a studio track is great.
  23. I thought the movie waz funny...i just didn't think Jimmy Fallon waz very funny. The could have casted that part better. Is the remake alot like the original or is it one of those movies like The Italian Job that waz inspired by another movie, but not a much of a remake at all?
