De La Soul "De La Mixtape: Remixes, Rarities, & Classics" Wanya Morris (of Boyz II Men) Presents "Millennium Renaissance" Wyclef feat. Refugee Allstars "The Carnival" Warren G "This DJ" single

U missed it...it's "Got To Be Real" Mary J. Blige feat. Will Smith...track 6.
-
I think i picked up on pretty much everything the 1st time...but i could tell that the audience didn't cuz there were a few times where i waz almost the only person laughing out loud.
-
I think that if these new skool fans were properly educated on real Hip-Hop music, u wouldn't see people like Nelly, Ja-Rule, Lil' Scrappy, G-Unit, D12 selling so many records. If they knew what Hip-Hop music waz really about and how could it could be, people wouldn't waste their time and money on the trash they do. It's like the industry is built 2 hold down the real artists.

Will the best perfomer EVER?
JumpinJack AJ replied to the real big willie's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I think FP is one of the best performers ever. Musically, he's creative and his himself in his music. He stands up 4 his own believes even tho' it makes him somewhat of an outcast. He's a great live performer...he draws his audience in and puts on a top quality show...something almost nobody in Hip-Hop can do. As and actor he's versitile very talented. The man under the hype is also incredibly funny, intellegent, kind, and articulate. FP is one of the best performers ever seen and he's very underrated. -
That movie is so good!! I'm so happy with it...i'm gonna start making plans 2 see it again already.
-
All those pop artists he attacked in 2000...i enjoy all of their music more than his these days.

Eminem ain't no player...he just gets played like a game. One of my friend's friends waz actually one of the girls at the VMA's from 2003 who waz right next 2 50 Cent during his performance (in the beginning). She said that at an after party Eminem kept trying 2 talk 2 her and followed her around 4 awhile. He didn't get any tho'....she said he's like 4 feet tall and kinda weird.

I wazn't trying 2 say FP wouldn't wanna collaborate with old skool artists. In fact, i think of all the successful artists out there, old skool talent has a better chance of making music with FP then they do with anyone else. FP give props 2 the old skool all the time. The news lately seems 2 lean towards him only working with new skool artists on the charts (Petey Pablo and Ludacris). I think the track with Mary J. Blige waz good 4 a soundtrack and i expect good things from his work with Timbaland...but i'm dreading hearing the stuff with Luda + Petey. The track/remix with Elephant Man could be alright...i guess we'll see.

cheack it and just vote plz :-|
JumpinJack AJ replied to jedi2002jaime@hotmail.com's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I don't think the fact the single is delayed has anything 2 do with the voting options...but i'm just happy 2 have a new song on the way. Since the album isn't slated until January, we may not hear anything 4 another month or so. ENUFF TALKING ABOUT "SWITCH" UNTIL THERE IS NOTHING NEW 2 SAY!! -
I like the logo...i would wear that if it waz top quality. Personally i'd like 2 see a white logo on a short sleeve shirt. Sometimes when u make shirts like that thru' companies, they put the same size logo on different size shirts. For instance, the logo on a small or mediem size shirt would be the same size on an XL shirt. I like my stuff kinda baggy and wouldn't wear anything smaller than extra large...and wouldn't want the size 2 be considerably smaller than the shirt itself. Just another thing 2 consider. I love the logo tho.'

latifah has a rap album ready to go..
JumpinJack AJ replied to Hero1's topic in Caught in the Middle
I just cant' bring myself 2 buy this album...but as a long time Latifah fan, i'll have 2 get it sometime. It would feel right putting it in my Hip-Hop CD section...but how am i gonna seperate it from her other albums...that's like getting a divorce and making the kids live in different houses. When i find it real cheap online, i'll get it. TAXI comes out this week...i can't wait 2 see that. I hate Jimmy Fallen, but if anyone can make one of his movies barable, it would be her. I waz just looking at the album (again) 2nite. My friends were like "what r u lookin' at" and i'm like "Queen Latifah's new album...i can't get it tho'...it's some weird Jazz/Soul/Pop cover album." None of them knew it came out. One of them is a Hip-Hop fan, and the other 2 are Top 40 fans so she's not really reaching anyone with this album at all. -
2day i've been listening 2 Big Willie Style and remembering just how good the album actually is.

I just saw SharkTale. I think it's perfect. The movie exceeded my expectations so much. It kicks Shreck's and Nemo's butts 2 the fullest. Visually it's colorful and very interesting. FP is hilarious in it. Some times they u can tell they even re-created FP's face 2 make certain expressions with Oscar's lines. It's a blast from beginning 2 end. Everyone i saw it with liked it 2. Since i saw it at nite, most of the audience waz teens thru' adults and everyone seemed 2 laugh thru' it. This movie is the jam and i plan on seeing it in a week or 2. The way they worked music in with the movie waz great. Of course the main attraction is FP, his character is very much a current version of Will from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air but underwater.

For me this wazn't tough at all. I easily go with emcee...or as u put it "singer." I like his acting, but the main reason i follow his acting is cuz he's my favorite emcee. He's not my dad so i definitly couldn't say him as a father is my favorite role he has. Beatboxing isn't really his thing (tho' he dose it well)...2 me it's just a part of Hip-Hop and his emceeing.
-
Yeah, i love OutKast's 1st album...since then they have gotten in2 some stuff i just dont' listen 2. It's not bad, it's just not what i want. I got Speakerboxxx/The Love Below and i only listen 2 it once every 2 or 3 months. I made a CD 4 my car with my fav trax off both albums but i rarely even listen 2 that CD.

Right now i'm watching Usher's Top 25 and he's loading it down with good stuff...Brand "I Wanna Be Down"...Dr. Dre + Snoop Doggy Dogg "G Thang"...Craig Mack, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, Rampage, B.I.G. "Flava In Ya Ear (Remix)"...Usher "U Got It Bad"...Erick Sermon + Marvin Gaye "Music." I love Usher...he likes so much of the same stuff i do. Ahhh...i spoke 2 soon, he put on a Ludacris joint. Oh well, it's one of his better ones. Oh yeah, and that remkae of "Lady Marmalade" waz done by Mya, Christina Aguilera, Pink, Lil' Kim, and Missy.
U cant really say what the rest of the album will be like with regards to this single! I mean look at his previous first singles.
Yeah, but with "My Name Is...," the song waz dope and a proper repersentation of the album. "Real Slim Shady" didn't represent all of his 2nd album, but it waz still a good song which represented and overall good album. Since then i'd agree that the 1st single hasn't properly represented the album...i'll also say that i didn't think much of the album waz any better than "Without Me." My point is that Eminem is not the same Eminem that came on2 the scene. He waz so ill...now he's like another artist and i think most of the time, he sucks.

I don't know what's considered sucessful...but i'm sure the numbers will be fine. I'm seeing it 2nite with posse that is still growing.

One thing about Cassidy's comment. Hip-Hop is worldwide...but it's product of the US. Here in the US, this young generation has been raised 2 have pride rather than have confidence. With pride comes self-centeredness, ignorance, and a lack of thinking. I don't think Cassidy really said anything that bad, but it dose comes off as some new jack rapper commenting on a legend in a way that isn't totally respectful. These new guys like Nelly and 50 come out with all this pride which is foolishness. They think they are unstoppable and that nobody can touch them. Since their talent is often non-existent, their careers are short and forgetable. In the meantime, they don't pay respect 4 the legends who took Hip-Hop 2 where it is. FP is a legend...no new cats have the right 2 speak about him without giving him props...period. The same goes for those like LL, KRS, Rakim. These new guys need 2 watch what they say cuz they have nothing on the true skool of Hip-Hop.

Nah, u get put pretty much whatever u want on a shirt. Something like that logo isn't the kinda thing u'd need a copyright release 4. As a photographer, i deal with some of that copyright imaging stuff from time 2 time. I don't think a few handful of people on this planet rocking a JJ+FP shirt or hoodie would get much legal trouble...ha ha.
Hey AJ it was shocking that "3D" only sold a million copies but to say that they're underrated would be like saying Boyz II Men is underrated they're the highest selling groups of all time, they sold more records than JJFP, they're not underrated! You can't mention BBD without mentioning Guy who actually came out before BBD with that new jack swing hip-hop style in r&b, that's not a diss to BBD 'cause I love them too, but Guy never really got their props record sales wise, they could eat groups like B2K alive now! Craig Mack seemed to be another one of those mcs that helped made P.Diddy rich but then got ****ted on by him, Black Rob, Shyne, and G Dep are also prime examples of this, they would all ghost write rhymes for P.Diddy too, P. Diddy is just an ass kisser who can't do anything for himself. And yes it seems that people have forgotten about Q-Tip and A Tribe Called Quest, G Unit will never have anything on them and Q-Tip could beat 50 Cent in a freestyle battle 'cause he's an incredible lyricist, I would pay to see that battle! :switch:
I would still say TLC is underrated. Sure, they had all that success, but since the last album waz ignored, they were definitly done wrong. They deserved so much more respect then they got last time around. Guy is another good choice. Dope group!! However, even tho' their last album didn't meet expectations, it waz really good. I listen 2 it about once a year. I think Guy and BBD are very different tho'. They both masterminded mixing Hip-Hop and R-N-B in a fly way. Without what they did, alot of other groups wouldn't be around or sounding the way they do. Craig Mack actually desided 2 leave Bad Boy on his own. He just said they were nothing like what they used 2 be when they 1st started out, so he left. He's one of the only artists who stayed true 2 himself while on Bad Boy. Q-Tip tho'...i dont' know how i would have felt about that jazz album, but i still really wanted 2 hear it. I understand why Tribe isnt' talked about tho'...since they retired. I'm just happy 2 hear they are coming back 2 show people what real Hip-Hop music is.

I'll keep my eye open 4 it. -
Shanice - I Love Your Smile I waz listening 2 a late nite old skool mixshow on my way home and they played Shanice's "I Love Your Smile." I lost my freakin' mind!! That waz one of my favorite songs in 1991!! It went in2 some Soul II Soul after that. About Dru Hill's "In My Bed"...during the summer of 1997, they released the So So Def Remix and video which featured Jermaine Dupri and Da Brat. It waz just as huge as the original from months b4!! U can find it on the EP "So So Def: This Is The Remix" or the single.
