1. It's not about getting sick of it...it's just a matter of the vibe. Something ain't right unless u listen 2 "Summertime" in the summertime.
2. If u go 2 a local music store, they will usually order CDs for you, sometimes for a small down payment that goes towards the total of the CD when they get it in.
3. I rearly see them on the board tho' (at the bottom where it shows u who else is on the site). Since we do have a core of posters and a group of people that pop in from time 2 time, i think that we should get rid of the inactive members. They can always re-register if they wanna participate. I know what u mean by the people who don't post but read everything we say. Usually when i get PMs or e-mails from people here, they are like "i agree with alot of the things u say" and mention stuff we've discussed as a group. And that's kinda crazy.
4. ...watching BET's Bobby Jones' Gospel at the moment...
5. Listening 2 "Summertime" in the summertime in your car is magical. Over 10 years later it has the same effect it did back then b4 i could drive. I can't really listen 2 it if it's not summertime tho.' It just dosen't seem right. I tried it 4 the 1st time in a long time with one of my friends who is a big JJ+FP fan an after it waz over, we were just quiet. The next day we were talking and we were like "man, that just wasn't right." He takes it just as serious as i do.
6. I heard Tra-Knox sing Jodeci's "Love U 4 Life" acappella and it waz amazing. Just look at it this way we and even FP looked at Born To Reign. It waz experimental with different sounds and created samples. Do u really think Tra-Knox's album would sound anything like it...i don't think so. I think a few of us are bitter at Tra-Knox becuz they were all over Born To Reign which in most cases is one of our least favorite albums from him/them. Think about it, FP asked them 2 do the whole record with him...not the other way around. Give these young guys a chance.
7. While we are talking about weird stuff like this, my girlfriend watched something on TV the other day, saying that by putting the Bible, i think in Hebrew or something, computers found some kinda code that marked all kinds of crazy events that happened in our world and some that are still 2 come. I didn't see this and i usually don't believe in this stuff...but neither dose my girlfriend. Maybe someone who is interested in this stuff could look it up on the internet.
8. ::::BEEP:::: Sorry, no score Tra-Knox waz on "I'm Comin'" on Willennium. As u can see, their style on a track like that waz alot different from the stuff on Born To Reign. I've heard them sing live and hearing them sing on Born To Reign simply dosen't display their talent.
9.
i certainly would be open to the introduction to will music you think i may have over looked and will readily admit that all i have heard is the commercial stuff. -trex
Yeah, we'll skool u on what u've been missing. We'll take care of ya.
10. Exactly...it's just one of those things that happens 2 be...but wazn't done intentionaly. Who in their right mind would sit down and create that anyway? When did the new $20 bills come out, dose anyone know?
11. If i'm correct, i'm almost sure they did do work with A Touch of Jazz. Since it looks like the album is cancelled, i guess we'll never hear any 2002 raps from FP or that ATOJ production.
12. Will flirts with everybody...don't take it 2 seriously.
13. ...DJ Jazzy Jeff co-produced "Don't Say Nothin'" with Keith Pelzer.
14. I just did hours of cleaning and skool work. I went from one album 2 the next... Arrested Development "Heros of The Harvest" EPMD "Back In Business" EPMD "Out of Business"
15. Welcome 2 the board!! This is definitly the place 2 talk with other old skool Hip-Hop fans and Hip-Hop fans who have a high standard of what good music is. Maybe u can let us introduce 2 the best of FP's newer material...don't let Hollywood fool ya.
16.
Doesn't one of them have an eating disorder?
One of them got treated 4 an eating disorder 2 months ago...hense my reaction.
17.
I saw this video this morning. Looks pretty cool. Those guys that was wit him had some great lyrical deliver.
Yeah, usually the hypemans and posses of 2day suck. For example, look at Eminem's D12, Nelly's St. Lunatics, 50 Cent's G-Unit, and Ludacris' Disterbing The Peace. They are just a bunch of incredibly talent-inclined ignorant fools who are piggy-back riding some success off their already successful friend. MC Hammer has some of those guys on his last album Active Duty but with the production stepped up a notch on this new album, it's a better outlet 2 display their skill. It's good 2 see some fresh talent that actually has some.
18.
"I'm making a movie with the Olson twins and i didn't wanna make 'em feel fat..."
Ahhh...that waz just wrong. :nono:
19. This is the wrong place 2 come when it comes 2 hearing album music. There's no excuse 2 not buy any of JJ+FP's albums if u are a fan who wants 2 hear their music.
20. Just some random pointless newz. I waz watching part of an episode of MTV's Made (that show where people try 2 do something they don't do or be something u aren't) and for like 10 seconds, they played "1,000 Kisses." Just thought i'd share...of course there is no released version of the Instruemental so u hear FP go "uh."
