Yeah, i can't see them pumpin' out a stale sequel. I don't think any of the people involved would allow an average film come out...it seems close 2 the hearts of all those involved....which is why it took so long 2 do the 2nd...AND all the original cast that waz necessary waz still in it.

DJ Alongside DJ Jazzy Jeff
JumpinJack AJ replied to WildWildWillennium's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
:eek4: If anyone gets that ?uestion wrong, may be be hit by a car...repeatedly. -
Not every song can be a masterpeice. Let's be real. Unless u pull a Michael Jackson and take years 2 make and album, u are gonna have a weaker moment here and there. It would be very boring if all the songs followed the same formula as the best. "Potnas" is probably my favorite track since he came back on the scene, but if there were like 5 other songs following the same formula on Willennium and Born To Reign, it would cheapen the original and take away from the multi-flava albums he always puts 2gether. Some songs are created for a certain audience. If u didn't like a certain song that much, he waz making it 2 please someone who is in2 something a lil' different.

I can't run down a list of charities that Will donated money 2, but he has put money in2 Charlie Mack's project 2 salvage his Philly neighborhood and he's also put money in2 project like Spike Lee's move "Get On The Bus" without the spotlights on him. Will may be living well, but it's not stuck up and selfish about it. Lots of celebrities put money in 2 positive projects without the spotlight. I wouldn't be surprised if Will dose the same.

Moe Dee Documentary To Honor 'Mic Gods'
JumpinJack AJ replied to fan 4ever's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Opps...let me clear that up. Kool Moe Dee waz working on a book like this...which now has a documentary that accompanies it. FP is in the book and i'm pretty sure i remember him shooting something 4 this documentary. -
"Will 2k" is a good song and all, but let's be real. It's sampled a song that made alot of fans of The Clash mad that he turned it in2 a party-pop Hip-Hop song. The concept is also incredibly dated. FP knew this when he did the song, but this is the kinda backlash that a song like this would get no matter what. Who cares what a stupid list says?!? I certainly don't.

Girls, Parents and a Nightmare
JumpinJack AJ replied to Schnazz's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
What exactly is the ?uestion about "Willennium"? If it's about "Holla Back," the song waz completed after "Willennium" waz finalized. It's one of his best songs ever in my opinion...they should have held out and put it on the album. Columbia wanted their jiggy top 10 trax tho' so they were happy with stuff like "Will 2K" and "Freakin' It." Good songs, but nothing compared 2 most of the album. -
This week, starting 2nite (Monday), Nick At Nite is having Extra Fresh Week where they will be airing episodes back 2 back of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. They start airing them at 9 and they'll be doing it for the next 4 the next 3 days. Better than that, some of the cast is supposed 2 be on their in between espisodes!!

JumpinJack AJ replied to Karyn's topic in Caught in the Middle
I love Glenn Lewis. His 1st album is incredible. ATOJ is all over it as well. I saw the video for his new single a few months ago and while i wanted something different from him, it waz still good. Another Sony artist free. -

Moe Dee Documentary To Honor 'Mic Gods'
JumpinJack AJ replied to fan 4ever's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I've been waiting on this book for like a year. Is it out yet? -
I don't agree with the lyrically average comment at all. However, compared 2 what most commercial rappers say, that's not really that bad. I think it waz good that he made a point at the end that he waz talking about what he sees and dosen't know. Why waz he commennt on FP tho'? I'm confused.

I think both of those songs are a great repersentation of how good JJ+FP's music is and what the standard for Hip-Hop old and new should be like.

Girls, Parents and a Nightmare
JumpinJack AJ replied to Schnazz's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Most of u have already said all this...but here it is just 2 set it straight. The "Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble" single waz released summer 1986. "Rock The House" came out in 1987 with the follow up singles "The Magnificent" and "A Touch of Jazz." "Just One of Those Days" and "Guys Ain't Nothing But Trouble" were also released as promotional singles. Jive picked up on JJ+FP, slightly re-worked the album, made the cover crappier and re-released "Rock The House" in 1988. "He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper" waz also released that year. When it comes 2 that line at the end of "Girls..." it was either a general statement or they referred 2 it cuz the song waz already written or recorded. -
Wills NEW MOVIE thoughts ????
JumpinJack AJ replied to mixenmasta.b's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I don't want it 2 be like Shreck. I like those movies but i think the humor is 2 suddle most of the time. I want this movie 2 make me laugh out loud. I think Sharktale will be a movie in a class all it's own -
I wonder if FP ever freestyles 2 the music of his toilet.

THE WILL SMITH FANS DOMAIN
JumpinJack AJ replied to JumpinJack AJ's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
I'd honestly love 2 re-create The Will Smith Fans Domain. Since half of the team is gone, that's impossible tho'. I waz kinda like the writer, director, producer, designer, and creative mind behind the sites. Wes waz the webhead who put in the time and made it happen. I don't wanna cut him short at all tho'...he waz part of the creative process as well and i made sure he'd agree with certain things b4 his made them happen. He also had 2 put up with me...ha ha...i'm a perfectionist and i'm really picky, so he'd go back and fix the littlest thing when i asked. As we worked 2gether, the sites got better and better. The ALI street team site has been taken down. But 4 the time being, our last site (MEN IN BLACK II) is still up (and it's loaded with good stuff). The webaddress is... www.geocites.com/MIB2headquarters I really wish he'd get a hold of me 2 let me know how he's doing. It's kinda weird talking 2 someone almost every day and then all of a sudden they are totally unreachable. -
That's crazy!! Man, those were the days. We are kinda re-creating a huge tight group again...we just disagree alot more. A few months ago i PMed and e-mail all of the old members that i could and only received a few replies with ultamatly have amounted 2 nothing. I talked 2 Kwei awhile ago. He's still recording and doing shows from time 2 time.

Should CD's change their cases?
JumpinJack AJ replied to Silver Tiger's topic in Caught in the Middle
It is kinda silly 2 not check the case b4 buying it. In the past year, i've probably bought 2 and later thought "what an knobjockey, why didn't i check 4 cracks?!?" I buy so many CDs tho' that it's not really that bad. I don't see how or why they would re-design how the package CDs. -
I think it's highly likely. Everyone involved in Bad Boys wants 2 do a 3rd and Will mentioned out he didn't want wait really long 2 do it. I don't know where all heard negative things about the movie, i've heard alot of things and the good easily out-weighs the bad.

That video is loaded with cameos. Others that come 2 mind are Babyface and Muhammad Ali. Of course Sause from Somethin' For The People (who sings the hook) is in it.

JumpinJack AJ replied to E - Style-Greesy - E's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince

Should CD's change their cases?
JumpinJack AJ replied to Silver Tiger's topic in Caught in the Middle
CD cases break from time 2 time...but that's why they sell them in packs. I have thousands of them and have only had minimal problems with them. -
I saw most of the VMA's 2nite. I didn't see some of the beginning (still havn't seen FP persent). Anyways, i've watched the VMA's since 1990 and knowing what 2 expect, i liked the show. I thought the set and design waz amazing. I thought Jessica Simpson waz good but i thought she looked kinda nervous. She's got a great voice but i didn't think her performance showed that. Christina Aguilera + Nelly's performance confused me highly. I think she's got talent, but the song didn't impress me 2 much. I also found it hard 2 take her with the short curly blonde hair after she did such a deep album 2 years ago. Nelly of course waz insanly annoying. His outfit didn't match the rest of the performers and his talent proved 2 be non-existant (as usual). The Lil' Jon + The Eastside Boyz and Terror Squad set waz so embarrassing. It waz nice seeing the crowd go insane, but their set waz so bad i nearly cried. They personified just how bad most rappers are these days when it comes 2 performing. It waz embarassing 2 see my favorites in music like FP, LL, and Latifah showing them love. Alicia Keys performance waz amazing. OutKast's set waz nice 2, but i havn't seen Andre look that normal since 1994. Puffy looked rediculous with this mohawk (what made him grow that back), and i think my biggest personal disappointment waz not seeing Black Eyed Peas winning anything.

I think the song serves as a reminder that FP still has skillz and that he hasn't changed much since JJ+FP dropped their 1st album. There's alot of people who used 2 follow him, but after the TV show and so many movies, they stop taking his music seriously. This track is 4 those people. Don't let the Hollywood taste fool ya.
