1. U gotta know when 2 let go. It sux 2 hear, but that's what's real. And if it's not cool 2 be around her, then don't be around her. There is this one girl that i have a past with, and things ended on such a bad note that everyone in awhile she just brings me down. I see this girl every week so it's VERY interesting...ha ha. My thing is this tho'...she's the one who messed up and even tho' it's hard on me, i know it's harder on her. U can't play yourself tho' and allow her 2 make u feel that way. Just look at what she is and realize that u don't need that even if u might want it. If y'all are truely meant 2 be, then things will fall in2 place when the time is right.
2.
it is kinda dumb now that they are broken up I mean they could just hire DJs to do what jam masta used to do
Yo, that has got 2 be 1 of the most ignorant things i've EVER read. That's like something happening 2 FP and then someone saying "Jeff could just get someone 2 do what FP used 2 do." Can't nobody begin 2 fill the Adidas of Jam Master Jay...only somebody who knows nothing about him could say that. I do think they should work 2gether in the future tho'...but they retired Run-DMC, it's not the same without Jam Master Jay.
3. I have the "Black Suits Comin'" ringtone on my phone. It's the only monotone ringing that actually sounds like any of his singles...the others sound so bad u can't recognize them. I think the only time i had it selected as my ringer waz the week Bad Boys II came out.
4.

CHICO: Man, did u check that message board at jazzyjefffreshprince.com? RAMONE: Yeah, i saw that. FRESH PRINCE: Yeah, them fools always be playin' stupid caption games with my pictures. TONE: Those cats are losers...for real!!
5. I think it resembles Fresh Prince 1996. The slightly big ears and goofy smile are kinda Big Willie Style.
6. Well, whatever u do, don't make moves while she is with her boyfriend. That only makes things weird and is pretty much guarenteed 2 mess things up, not 2 mention make u look bad. My method with the ladies has alway been, pretty much make them make the 1st move. Cuz u can't go wrong that way. If u make a move and they aren't ready, or simply don't want it, u make them really uncomfortable and screw yourself over bad. If u make her make the 1st move, then she's waited long enuff that it's driving her crazy...ha ha...on top of that, u know it's safe 2 see if there is anything there.
7. DMC never went in2 retirement, him and Run just retired Run-DMC as a group. Both plan on doing solo projects. Thanx 4 the news, i'll keep my ear open 4 the track.
8. The video waz played on MTV. I used 2 watch MTV alot back then and i only saw it aired twice. The 1st time i saw it, i waz at a friend's house, we were chillin' in the basement when all of a sudden it just came on, i luckily had a tape on me, popped it in his VCR and recorded it (still have it 2 this day). It waz really funny cuz i waz also at his house when i 1st saw "Ring My Bell" (except we were upstairs). Now that i think about it, i never saw any of the Homebase videos at my crib 4 the 1st tyme...i waz always at somebody else's house.
9. Since this song waz never intended 2 be released, Jeff probably 4got all about it OR JJ+FP had it titled as something else and it waz re-titled 4 it's release. Also, since much of Code Red waz done by music being sent over 2 Will on the west coast (most of the album wazn't recorded 2gether), since Hula + K. Fingers produced it, there's a chance Jeff had nothing 2 do with the track and since it didn't make Code Red, Jeff may have never even heard it.
10. I havn't seen the trailor (they never play on my computer in a way that's worth watching). But it's the Wayen's Brothers, it has 2 be at least a lil' funny. I'm definitly gonna be waiting 2 see this trailor. The title itself sounds funny. I just watched The 6th Man last nite (that Marlon Wayens movie from 1997)...4got how much i liked that movie.
11.
are they promo tapes that you taped or regular retail video tapes that have it?
It's on these promotional tapes that i got. They were compiled in the early 90's 2 be played in clubs and bars. There's a few other classics on them, one of them being Digital Underground's "The Humpty Dance"...ha ha. One of them has "Voices That Care" on it. They are pretty rare, whenever i would find these, they'd usually go kinda high on ebay.
12. I don't think a place can be "romantic" by itself....u can make almost anywhere a romantic place, it just depends on the scene, the mood, what time it is, why u are there, who else (if anybody) is there, etc. I've made lots of different places special....a golf course after midnight, the roof of nearly any building, etc. It's all about what u make it...not what it is by itself.
13. I'm not thinkin' about summertime mix CDs yet. Right now i have a fall-winter mix CD in my car...the tracklisting goes something like this... TLC "Come Get Some" Blaque "I'm Good" Stacie Orrico "More To Life" Keily Dean "Who Will I Run To" Busta Rhymes, Nick Cannon, Fat Joe, Chingy "Put It On The Floor" Mya + Pharsyde "Fallen (Remix)" Michael Jackson "One More Chance (Ron G. Remix) Madonna "Your Honesty" Ginuwine "How Far Will You Go" Britney Spears "Touch of My Hand" Melissa Shuman "Always" Goapele "Closer" Montell Jordan "Supastar" TLC "Whoop Dee Woo" Jessica Simpson "With You" Amerie "Thinkin' Bout U" Marques Houston "Smile" Jill Scott "Everything (Comes To Light)" Yolonda Adams "I Believe" This is more an an radio friendly R-N-B meets Pop music CD...but that's what i got in the ride right now. I'm in the middle of mixing a Hip-Hop one 2gether.
14.

But seriously you should al stop whining about doing oldskool music NO ONE should make old skool music,...
When i say "old skool"...i don't mean the same kinda 80's styled stuff. When i say "old skool", i'm talking about the quality it of the music and the mindstate behind it. I'm talking about good, repsectful lyrics, putting on a show with energy, preaching postivity and strength and having a good time. I don't mean dated music, i mean music that's actually good.
15. The video is so funny!! JJ+FP are lookin' mad smooth in it, and even tho' the song itself isn't that funny, they are doing what they do best in the video...BE FUNNY!! I think the milkman scene is probably the funniest. Has any other rapper been caught in milkman gear?!?! ha ha. I seriously only ever saw the video on MTV twice back in late 1991/early 1992. I'm lucky 2 have 2 music video promo tapes that feature this video.
16. I saw the movie School of Rock 2nite. The movie that features Jack Black as an out-of-work rocker who takes the job of a subsitute teacher who basically turns the class in2 a rock band. He takes their young minds that are dumb-founded 2 rock music and it's roots and he skools them and trains them 2 play in the Battle of The Bands. I watched this movie and totally could see it flipped 2 a Hip-Hop theme with Will as the lead character. If u havn't seen this movie, then this post will mean nothing 2 u, but if u have, u should like this.... Will plays Jack Black's character. He's in a Hip-Hop group that desides 2 go gangsta since their old skool, feel good vybe isn't gettin' them anywhere. Jazzy Jeff plays his best friend who is sharing the apartment that Will can't afford 2 hold up his part of the rent. MC Lyte plays Jeff's controling girlfriend who hates Will and wants him OUT of the apartment and out of threir lives. Will takes the substitute teacher as an attempt 2 pay the rent. He goes on what he knows by 4getting all the skool subjects and talks music with the kids. He soon finds out that they are brainwashed by the P. Diddy-G-Unit-Eminem-Ludacris modern day garbage and know nothing about real music. Will skools the kids on old skool Hip-Hop and where it comes from. He finds out the kids' talent and appoints them emcees, DJs, breakers, beatboxes and gets other kids involved in set design (graffitee, lighting) and fashion. Keep in mind this movie has tons of adult roles where Hip-Hop legends can be playing. Anyways, it's later found out Will isn't qualifyed 4 the job and he's taken away from the skool. The kids later take things in2 their own hands 2 compete in a local Hip-Hop-Rap talent show in which they outshine all the fake-thugged-out and shiny-suit-jiggy rappers. Even tho' Will likes 2 seperate his emceeing skills from movies, this movie would the kinda movie Will could really let loose. Anyone else like this idea!?!?
17. I don't know how i feel about this. If it's a movie track, he might be screwing him self musically. Hopefully the soundtrack is only partly releated 2 the actual movie and any song he would contribute 2 it would be just a song and not a song related 2 the movie. I don't see the album comin' out this summer...but i think it would be a great time 4 it. Either way, a new song would defintly be dope. It's good 2 know his passion 4 music is keeping him busy even when it comes 2 music that's not 4 his own albums.
18. It's just a trend...i wonder if he's got any family member's names on them tho.'
19. I don't put "Black Suits Comin'" in the same category as his real music...so i don't hold the same standards 2 it. I like the way he experimented with the rock vibe...however, if he wanted a flawless rock/rap beat, he should have went to Jam Master Jay. I think the lyrics were really creatived and LOVED his flow on the track. He took a dangerous step by making a sequel 2 a song 4 a movie soundtrack and he pulled it off. I'd never compare this track 2 any of his real music tho'...it's a song he did strictly 4 a movie.
20.

CHICO: Yo man, let's head over 2 Micky D's. RAMONE: Yeah, i could go 4 some chicken nuggets. FRESH PRINCE: Man, last time they didn't put enuff M&M's in my McFlurry!! TONE: I'ma get a Big Mac myself.
21. Prince, i don't see where the disappointing trax are. Maybe a few on the last one...but i think they did a great job of chosing trax 4 it. Cookie, Jill actually sung on the original version of the song, but for commercial reasons, they scrapped the version with the then-unknown Jill Scott 2 have Erykah Badu (already a success) sing on it. I remember The Roots saying the version with Jill is far better...so i'd love 2 hear this live version with her. I still think the version with Erykah is a modern-day classic tho.'
22. That is dope!! Even most of the 4th disc is good...i waz expecting that one 2 be crap. Disc 3 looks like my fav 2...with 2, then 1, then 4.
23. That waz one of the illest things i've ever read. Thanx 4 sharing. We look at that kinda stuff the same way cuz that's pretty much how i've been handeling a situation of my own.
24. What is the source...sounds like garbage 2 me. Will has said he isn't vibing with the way the industry is now and doesn't plan on releasing anything right now.
25. I can't chose a fav track...but here are my top favs... "Somethin' Like Dis"....new skool JJ+FP...nuff said "I'm Looking For The One (To Be With Me)"...the beat is thick and perfect. Lyrics are not real focused since it's a laid-back party joint. "Just Kickin' It"....JJ+FP at it's laid-back best. "Scream"....on of the best songs ever created 2 be performed live...even tho' i don't think it every waz performed live. "Shadow Dreams"...JJ+FP isn't known 4 serious, deep trax....but this song is untouchable. "Twinkle Twinle"...one of their best...period
