Born To Reign may not be Will's stongest album (at least not what many of his fans wanted), but no hating is allowed in here. In other words, if u ain't got nuttin' nice 2 say, don't say nuttin.' Give props where they are due. BORN TO REIGN - nice beat, lyrics are insane. Will definitly puts most of todays succesfull rappers in their place...Go on FP!! ACT LIKE YOU KNOW - this is an ill club banger. Listen 2 FP's flow...it dosen't get any better than this. I CAN'T STOP - FP's races the rhyme on this one (just incase some of us doubted him). I love the soundfx he makes. The production is like something not many emcees would even attempt 2 flow over. 1,000 KISSES - Nice love joint. Breezy summery sampled beat and an almost-poetic lyrics. WILLOW IS A PLAYER - Man, i wish FP rapped on this track instead of singing. This song is so funny. Misleading lyrics that only FP fans will understand. Can't believe Will is singing...ha ha. HOW DA BEAT GOES - Old skool party joint....no FP album would be complete without a song like this. BLOCK PARTY - Laid-back Hip-Hop beat that provides the perfect summertime cruise-worthy joint. Let's u know that FP hasn't changed after all these years. GIVE ME TONITE - Yo, FP outdid himself on this one. The lyrics are fire, something most of us fellas can relate 2. The beat is rich and heavy and has some of the illest dirty guitars i've ever heard. I GOTTA GO HOME - Reggae flavaed Hip-Hop joint...who knew FP had this track up his sleeve. Another joint that most fellas can relate 2. I can totally see the video 2 this song already. MAYBE - Grown-up love track. Totally accomplishes putting his feelings in2 this joint. The production is a lazy...but not totally in a bad way. Poetic delivery...something different. MOMMA KNOWS - Nice beat and great song 4 young people 2 hear. NOTHING ON MY MIND - Wow!!, breezy, laid-back, summer track. I can't wait til i can relate 2 this track again...ha ha. I like the way Will plays with his flow. Hate the album if u want, but FP really took a step outside of the box this time and experimented in crazy ways. U have 2 admire his confidence 2 do an album like this.

"Act Like You Know"...hands down!! The beat is bangin'...FP's flow is insane. I waz expecting the whole album 2 sound like this until we found out more about it. I think this is definitly one of the best solo trax he's ever done.

I'm not going 2 share all of my sources b-cuz i've promised not 2 relveal some of them and promised not 2 share EVERYTHING they share with me. I'll give u a few tho' simply cuz when i get newz from certain ones, i state who it waz from. Some of my older inside news came from Keith Pelzer and Darren Henson who used 2 work with A Touch of Jazz. I had the benifit of talking 2 them (espeically Keith). Back then i also got 2 talk to Kel Spencer's girlfriend who waz at the time working at Overbrook (have no idea if she dose anymore). Of course i've also talked to Ready Rock C, Kel Spencer, and Kel's assitant as well. Occasionally i get 2 talk 2 DJ Jazzy Jeff and i've also talked 2 Irize. I've never gotten 2 talk 2 FP, but that dosen't mean i dont' have a way 2 contact him...ha ha...it's just never worked and it's slimmer than the chance Will + Martin had driving that porshe thru' that opening at the airport in Bad Boys...ha ha. There is one other source i havn't got 2 talk 2 in awhile, but Tim has (a shout out goes 2 her 4 keeping us posted). p.s. I won't eleborate on any of this so don't ask. :biggrin: Either choose 2 trust me or don't.

All those things play a part in the JJ+FP magic...but i also chose chemistry. The main reason is that nearly anybody can TRY 2 be original, fun, humorous, etc...but chemistry is different. Chemistry can't be created, it just is and u can't explain it. Chemistry lets u know that some things were just meant 2 be. 2 be honest, 2 people with chemistry are better than 2 people with talent. But when u have chemisty and talent, u end up with stuff like JJ+FP.

Man, i LOVE that song. The single waz never released here in the US so i've never heard the remixes (except 4 the one on the "Together Again" single). I've seen import versions online that i've always intended on getting one day. Other Janet favs of mine are Escapade, Together Again, That's The Way Love Goes, The Best Things In Life Are Free w/ Luther Vandross, BBD, + Ralph Tresvant, Again, And On And On, Everytime, etc

This is the 2000's....guys don't need 2 always make the 1st move. Some guys are shy...some guys just take their time. Everybody is different.

I'm still raving about "Thinkin' 'Bout My Ex"...Babyface outdid himself on the production of this track!! And the lyrics are like nothing else i've every heard. I do agree that 2 or 3 of those trax are a lil' weak, but i'm sure they'll come across different when they are bumping thru' speakers.

When u hear "Darkchild" adlibbed on Hip-Hop and R-N-B records, it's cuz it waz produced by Rodney Jerkins and his crew. They've done work with Will Smith, TLC, Brandy, Michael Jackson, Destiny's Child, Monica, Aaliyah....100s of artists and 100s of hits.

Don't put all that on me!! Put it on Will, cuz everything i said came straight from interviews or inside sources!!

Thinkin' 'Bout My Ex, Like I Don't Love You, My Baby, Spendin' Time..., and Warmth are my favs (and in that order).

Half the time when i'm not around her, i'm like "i got this...i'm over this"...but the second i see her, it sux again...ha ha. That's the way things gotta be sometimes. She totally destroyed our friendship which amazing cuz of how close we were. It's a very public thing 2 so she has alot weight on her shoulders. On top of that, i've kept pressing on in life, staying mad busy and spending time with all of my friends when i can. She's kinda just gave up on life and dosen't have one. It's kinda immature, but i've always made sure i waz doing better off than my ex's who made big mistakes. Luckily that's always been the case, staying postive and making things happen is the best way 2 make that other person realize their mistake. I've finished most of my skool, done 6 or 7 shows in the past few months, and strengthened alot of friendships in the past few months since we split. She sees me making right and moving on (even if she's still on my mind everyday), but it has 2 make her look at herself and say "man, i have no life and i havn't smiled in months...what am i doing with my life?!?" Just do u and see what happens. If she needs u later in the future (like most girls who make stupid desicions do, be there 4 her, but don't let yourself slip.

I don't think the subject matter needs 2 change at all. Born To Reign is the perfect example. We know Will is married 2 Jada and he focuses on them on trax like "1,000 Kisses" and "Maybe"...but that dosen't mean that "Give Me Tonite" and "I Gotta Go Home" can't be totally legit. It's not like Will can't be attracted 2 other ladies, it's not like he hasn't been tempted by other huney dips out there. If Will dose a track like "No More," it can still be from the heart, but not based EXACTLY off his personal life style. It's not like he's claiming 2 be something he's not like Jay-Z, Ja-Rule, etc. Will still loads his rhymes up with comedy like on "Holla Back"...but he's grown up, so not all the humor has 2 be in your face and side-spliting. "Willow Is A Playa" is hilarious....but some people don't have any suddlety 2 their sense of humor tho' they might not notice it. When it comes 2 emcees...and people in general, Will has definitly stayed the same person he always has been AND grown up thru' the years. That's rare 2 find. Will dosen't need limitations, he can do any kinda track he wants and it'll definitly be from the heart. Out of all of his music, do ANY of his trax stand out as if he should have never recorded them?? I don't think so.

Don't be stupid and put on like a public building....if u are gonna do it, put it where it's not gonna mess up anybody's public property. And tagging is just wack...there's no artistic talent involved with that. Fly murals and logos are dope tho'....when they are done in tasteful places.

Yeah, the main thing is...if u move 2 quick, u can't take it back and things could get messed up or feel akward. If u wait til she make the move or u wait until u know 4 sure it's safe, u know it's all 2 the goody....on top of that, after waiting so long, it feels 100 times better than if u just jumped in2 something.

I think there were lots of times in the past 3 years that a JJ+FP waz due. I think now isn't as strong as a time as those other times, but either way, Hip-Hop needs something like that and fast. I think they should go out there and do it and treat it like any other commercial album and promote it 4 the masses. I mean, look at "Hey Ya"...i don't think anybody expected that and it waz huge. JJ+FP might have that same magic, give the people something they don't usually hear that feels good...and they could be unstoppable.
