  2. This is silly and stupid...but I think some of you will be entertained... 1. Eminem angrily making nachos: Actually the board won't let me post all 36 pictures. But you can see them all here: http://www.buzzfeed.com/daves4/pictures-of-rappers-doing-amazing-amazing-things
  3. Oh crap. We know how the 'Prince feels about losing. He's going to scrap plans for their next album to practice soccer/football so that things like THAT don't happen again.
  4. I've been soaking all of this in over the past 24 hours...LOL. I love it! I feel like hardly any of this had to do with After Earth. JJ+FP 2-0-1-3, M-O-V-I-E, T-V, and C-D That needs to be in the cover photo of Facebook group and somewhere on the message board.
  5. AMY GRANT - Not Giving Up How Mercy Looks From Here (2013)
  6. Whoa, three months later THIS news pops up. Very interesting... Wait, WHAT? Judge Issues A Warrant For Tim Dog Who, Um, Might Actually Be Alive (DETAILS) A couple of months ago, news came out that famed Bronx rapper Tim Dog had died from complications with diabetes. The hip-hop community mourned; but should we have? There are many people who think Tim faked his own death, and he is still somewhere very alive — so much so, that a Desoto County, Mississippi judge issued a warrant for the rapper. Sigh, let us explain. The suspicion started last week when a woman named Esther Pilgrim said that Tim Dog, who is famous for the diss track "**** Compton," faked his own death in order to get out of paying $32,000 dollars he scammed her out of. (It turns out that rap money slowed up for Tim Dog: the rapper allegedly scammed over two million dollars off of various ladies.) Steven Jubera, who is a prosecutor with the Desoto County DA's office, doesn't believe he's dead and he went to court with his claim, filing a petition with a judge Tuesday to have Tim Dog’s probation revoked. Jubera is suspicious, not only because he hasn't seen a death certificate, but because: “I need proof,” said Jubera. “I need a death certificate showing that’s he’s dead because as far as I’m concerned, he’s alive.” Also suspicious of Tim Dog's death is old friend Ced Gee (who produced "**** Compton"). Ced refused to speak at Tim's funeral earlier in the year because no one could produce a death certificate. “Nobody said where he died, nobody said where he was buried, which is very odd for an obituary." We're not sure what's going on here, but GlobalGrind is officially on the case: we just copped a few tickets to Cuba to see what it is. 7. They recorded much of He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper overseas... Just sayin'...
  8. Ah, looks like I wasn't the one to share this...lol. Maybe I shared it elsewhere. A couple years ago, someone posted a video fast forwarding to various spots on the tape. Then this person shared the whole thing....so there are a few copies out there. I'd kill for an original.
  9. This is my favorite new interview! I love that it has plenty of down to earth questions that are jam-packed in this. I love that is spends a decent bit of time on JJ+FP topics too. Best of all, I love how he shed some new light on Eminem as an artist and as a person. Truly dope. THE NEW MUSIC WITH FP IS THE BEST PART. Y'all need to stop doubting that new music is in the future!! Jazzy and Jada are the ones who know best (since the 'Prince isn't saying much). Jeff's laidback and confident in his reply. We just need to wait a little longer. IT'S COMING!!!
  10. I posted this a few months ago. The video I had didn't have this t-shirt image on it tho.' I guess they lifted the audio from the other video and made one of their own, or the original guy just updated his. It's so dope to hear them on their legit recording. This is the JJ+FP at their purest.
  11. Here's some freshness being breathed into "Black Suits Comin' (Nod Ya Head)." This would certainly have been better for MIB3 compared to that Pitbull song...even with the lyrics referencing the second movie.
  12. I saw this in the morning and it made my day. The emcee certainly isn't taking a break...he's just not working on music with the goal of a completed album. There's nothing rusty about what just happened there. I like that they ignored the solo hits and played "Summertime."
  13. JOHN REUBEN - Make Money Money Word of Mouth (2007)
  14. Yeah, that's the one I used too. I downloaded it around the time it first leaked but the download wasn't good so I needed to revisit the album properly. I don't download a ton of stuff, but this has always seemed pretty scarce.
  15. This post goes out to Julie...and the other Left Eye/TLC fans on the board. Some of you know that in 2001, Left Eye tried to release her long awaited solo album, Supernova. The album was a crazy mix of wit and deep lyrics. The sound of the album was all over the place and it challenged listeners, as there isn't any other album like it. Long story short, after releasing it overseas, LA Reid wasn't going to release it in the US until she re-worked it...probably to make it more Hip-Hop or more like a TLC album. Long story short, Left Eye (a fellow stubborn Taurus) wasn't going to change it and LA's actions put her in a loop hole to take her solo project else where (even though LaFace/Arista released all her work with TLC). Instead of simply shopping a label who would have jumped at the chance, she took her connections to Deathrow (through 2Pac, which led to Kurupt and Suge) and signed with them. The plan was to create new music with a completely different vibe, while reworking some of her music from Supernova. She took on a grittier persona, N.I.N.A. Since hardly any new music was recorded, the personality in her music wasn't the different. It was just some of the harder edge of her that could catch glimpses of in some of her previous music. The shocker was when she went on 106 & Park with the Deathrow camp and played this weird character. TLC fans were annoyed, but we had to remember, this was all part of the game she wanted to play with the media. This is the same girl who fell off the face of the earth on purpose and made people she was missing...LOL. This certainly wasn't the real her, which can be seen in the amazing, yet irie Last Days of Left Eye documentary. I don't know that anyone would challenge this being a small part of her personality tho'...this is the girl who burned down her lying, cheating boyfriends house. This is the girl that pulled a gun on Clive Davis when CraZySeXyCOol had made over 75 million dollars, yet each of the girls only had $50,000 each. Anyways, Deathrow finished their work on the N.I.N.A project, but didn't release it since Left Eye's family requested that they didn't. A re-worked version of "Untouchable" with 2Pac was released to radio stations in 2002 but never got much attention. In the end, Left Eye wasn't going to go through with the N.I.N.A. project and was going to focus on new music with TLC before she passed. Anyways, this long intro is just leading up to a leaked version of the N.I.N.A. project. I, personally, really like it. It just captures a different side of her and changes the landscape for Supernova completely. And The Row Hitters actually give her lyrics a nice backdrop. The guests aren't bad either (though a few of them are lifted from Supernova). Check the links below for the leaked album. 17. Ha ha...he's not saying much, but we know something is brewing. It's about time Kanye do something good for Hip-Hop again. Haters (Kanye fans), back off!
  18. Yeah, B-more is just over an hour away. It'll be the first time I'll be able to see Jazzy without driving 5 hours or further away...lol.
  19. Whoa! Nicole, I live in Maryland so please post more info about the B-more or DC show when you have it. It's been 10 years since I've seen Jeff do his thing!!
  20. I didn't even notice. I'm gonna have to do that!
  21. I would still be spending crazy money on magazines if they were like this (but aimed for adults). I have boxes of Source, Vibe, Blaze, XXL, Rap Sheet, Rap Pages, Word Up!, Right On, Fresh!, and Spice magazines from back in the day. Now the magazines are crazy over priced, dominated by advertisements, and rarely feature substantial news on true Hip-Hop artists. The crazy thing is, most of the people on THIS magazine cover and still musically active!!
  22. I know there's copyright issues regarding the music used in the show, but I wish this would be available on DVD. The show is just funny and light...I could watch this at anytime, over and over again.
  23. Have fun with that one...I'm soooooo sick of that topic. It'll definitely get some attention tho.'
  24. She just keeps going. She's a one trick pony who's only ability is to trash the Prince of Bel-Air. She hasn't been around him in YEARS and she talking like she knows him and has talked to him since he was in his early 20's. Here we go... ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Janet Hubert Talks Will Smith Feud, Being Fired From ‘The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air' (VIDEO) Posted: 05/09/2013 9:44 pm EDT | Updated: 05/09/2013 10:07 pm EDT Sign Up Now this is a story all about how the first Aunt Viv got kicked out of town ... The long-standing feud between Janet Hubert ("The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air's original Aunt Viv) and star Will Smith has been well-documented, but in a recent interview with "omg! Insider," Hubert admitted that she thinks "we all owe each other an apology" for the creative differences that resulted in her being fired from the show and replaced by Daphne Reid. "[smith] said 'we're just gonna replace her and act like nothing happened,'" Hubert recounted of her exit from the hit comedy in 1993. "Well honey, that is not what happened, is it? The world has let me know that my place on that show was very, very, very loved ... I felt demonized and beaten up and crucified for many many years, no one came forward in my defense." Hubert admitted that Smith did "some heinous, horrible things to me -- they were like bad kids, Will and Alfonso [Ribiero], especially Alfonso. He said that I was crazy and nobody wanted to go to lunch with me." In 2011, Hubert told TMZ, "There will never be a reunion ... as I will never do anything with an a------ like Will Smith. He is still an egomaniac and has not grown up. This constant reunion thing will never ever happen in my lifetime unless there is an apology, which he doesn't know the word." She has since softened her stance on the idea of a reunion, telling TheGrio.com, “I would say to him [smith], we need to heal this. You’ve done some things, you’ve said some things, that were totally untrue and you know that they were untrue. I’ve said some things that I probably should have never said ... I’m tired. Aren’t you tired Will?” Now, Hubert is ready to move on. "We need to have a reunion, we have to end this horrible, 21-year war," she told "omg! Insider," adding, "I think we all owe each other an apology." Watch Hubert's interview with "omg! Insider" below.
