I don't know why so many people have given up hope. It really sucks, but it's only time that has passed. He constantly shows subtle interests in music. We have pix of him visiting studios and videos of occasional "performances." Regarding the board, I was just kinda hoping to see some of CREATE the activity on it.

SO SO DEF CELEBRATES 20 YEARS!
JumpinJack AJ replied to JumpinJack AJ's topic in Caught in the Middle
Chris Kelly/Mac Daddy's pants were backwards. They were at the promo event too. I don't think Chris Smith/Daddy Mac's were though.- 10 replies

SO SO DEF CELEBRATES 20 YEARS!
JumpinJack AJ replied to JumpinJack AJ's topic in Caught in the Middle
I can't believe you didn't post the Kris Kross set. I watched this the night after the event and the KK one was the first one I looked up. These brothers are still tight. WHY ARE THEY NOT MAKING MUSIC TOGETHER. In the last 15 years they've probably only done one or two shows and they are so much more polished than idiots like Icky Minaj are active in recording, promoting, and touring.- 10 replies

BACK TO BACK ID4 SEQUELS - WILL SMITH LOCKED?
JumpinJack AJ replied to JumpinJack AJ's topic in Will Smith Movies
I have a few things to say (of course). First off, reading him talk about the idea for the new movies sounds rather elementary. It sounds like a 12 year old who is talking about his idea in a very excited way...yet, hasn't thought it out. Secondly, he's an idiot for saying he "doesn't want Will." Ten years ago FP said there was "zero chance" he'd return for an ID4 movie because there is no logical reason to do so (other than to make money). He's flirted with the idea by saying he'd do it if the script is right, but that's because he know that a sequel isn't right at all. Plus, the "world" in the movie isn't going to be a sequel at all since it's going to focus on the younger generation. There's just no good ideas tied to it. Going back to the statement "Will is too big" for the movie...that's BS. In all honesty, if "Will Smith" is too big for something, it would be Bad Boys or Men In Black...but he loves those movies and it MAKES SENSE to revisit them. ID4 is an awesome, epic movie. If there would be a reason to make a sequel, it would be MORE APPROPRIATE for him to be involved. Sorry, I get worked up about this every time I read about plans for ID4 sequels. If they happen, I hope they fall flat on their face. ID4 is a stand alone movie. Let it exist on its own and be awesome. -
I like that he uses a down to earth flow. So many rappers on the radio don't use and honest voice...and he does. While I don't feel it's lyrically breaking new ground, he also puts more thought into the writing aspect than anyone rappers on the radio right now. All and all I think it's good...I'm just not a fan of the beat.

That was so dope. Just reading it made me feel like a kid and took me back to the 80's. The music and culture was just so organic back then. Now it's mostly disappeared or polluted. It's time for a new JJ+FP album. It's ALWAYS time for a new JJ+FP. By the way, it's good to see some action on the board. I was wondering if everybody still dropped in daily since things have been a little dry lately....we should fix that.

I flipped when I saw him post that one! What else is there to say?

YES! Usher Reuniting With Jermaine Dupri For New Album Mar 20, 2013 By Hello Beautiful Jermaine Dupri and Usher created classic music such as “Confessions,” as a duo. The 2004 release, which is hailed as a classic, remains Usher’s highest selling album and the last R&B album to sell 10 million copies. For a while, we weren’t sure if the duo would ever work together again but, all that changed when a photo of the boys, with the caption “Me and Usher back in the lab,” putting our speculations to an end! In an interview with TheUrbanDaily, Jermain Dupri spoke about the high expectations surrounding them working together. When you do the records and you do that many numbers, and you have that many number ones, it’s a lot riding on your back. It would have to be something me and Usher sit around and talk about because it’s not like we can just go in the studio because y’all gonna critique it against “Confessions.” I don’t ever feel like I’ve made a record better than the ones I’ve already made. I don’t think I ever made a song bigger than “Jump.” But I did “confessions” and “We Belong Together.” These records have a place out there that feels like they’re bigger but I don’t believe that they’re bigger. So in my mind, I’m saying, “I don’t know if I can make a song bigger than “Confessions.” I believe I can because I have a bone in my body that says Quincy Jones was 50 when he did --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I don't know how anyone else feels about this, but I'm HYPED. Usher's dabbling in dance/electronica is tired and disappointing me. The music just isn't that good even though he's one of the greatest artists of our time. I'm hoping that him and JD come up with some legit R&B/Soul/Hip-Hop. His first 4 albums are flawless in my opinion. His fifth isn't bad, though I think it's focus is a little scattered. His two most recent albums (especially his latest) are rather awful. I'm really excited to see what they come up with!!

Thanks for sharing that. I agree...the song has great energy, but the production is a bit underdone. -
Like I said on Facebook, I love this video. Where did the "wheelchair thief" come from? Is it random or is it actually pulled from something?

History of Rap 4 (Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake)
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ale's topic in Caught in the Middle
That was definitely fun. I hadn't gotten around to watching this until now. -
I'm no film critic. I simply want to be entertained. I've spent the last 10 years trying movies that I initially wasn't interested in, and often being surprised. This kind of move isn't normally the kind of thing I would have an interest in, but I can honestly say I wanna see it. The visuals look amazing and the story seems interesting (and rather original). I like that FP is doing a different character since he often plays various versions of himself. He's stretching and trying to make this character different from the others. I feel that those who are being critical towards the film will enjoy it when they see it. ...simply because that used to be me. Let's just be thankful it's not a sequel to ID4...lol.

Reality Show Alert! 90′s Group SWV (Sisters With Voices) is Up Next… Mar, 12 2013 | Written by ATLien Word on the curb is that Taj, LeeLee and Coko of the 90′s girl group SWV (Sister’s With Voices) have jumped aboard the reality show gravy train! Details about the new show below… Cheryl “Coko” Clemons, Leanne “LeLee” Lyons, and Tamara “Taj” George will star in an unscripted docu-drama produced by eOne Entertainment that will chronicle their recent resurgence in music, the off-stage dynamic between the ladies, explore why the group broke up in the late 90′s, and showcase their personal lives off stage. I don't think they are pushing them into the industry. Those kids are surrounded my music, movies, and TV every day. They access to entertainment and big events so they are immersed in it. FP and Jada could do whatever they want with the position they have. If they were forcing them, Willow and Jaden would already have albums out and would be pumping out videos, movies, etc on the regular. These are just kids who have access to do whatever they want. Plus they don't have to go far for advice. I don't think that many people are following or aware of the Annie project. The main foreseeable mistake is to have Jay-Z involved.

Here's a pic T-Boz posted from the TLC bio pic that they just started shooting (they just cast it like 2 weeks ago!). They are very adamant about making it's 90's-legit. And I love T-Boz's new solo song! It just has a great sound and I find it really inspirational. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sspa5o-AzW4

TLC is making a big comeback this year, so I wanted to make a thread for all that coming. Julie and I are definitely HUGE fans but I know there's a handful of others out there. VH1's bio-pic is cast and in the works and TLC is heavily involved. They are recording new songs and re-recording some of their hits for the 20th anniversary package (they re-recorded "Diggin' On You" this week). Anyways, here's an incredibly raw and real interview with T-Boz from of months ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9d37VeUQgzw Also, here's a song the recorded from some Japanese compilation album last summer... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TOmOTVQZf3E You can buy the song here: http://www.amazon.com/Rainbow/dp/B008BRERVM/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1362618825&sr=8-2&keywords=tlc+rainbow Plus, T-Boz's new song "Champion": http://www.amazon.com/Champion/dp/B00B6C703G/ref=sr_shvl_album_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1362618864&sr=301-1

Here I am again. My family got a new dog back in December. She's 4 years and was previously abused. For three months she's had a good, loving, comfortable life. Last week all of that changed. She had lyme disease, which we didn't know, and while it can sometimes be treated, it got to her kidneys before we knew. In many cases, that is a "death sentence." She's acting very old now and she has no appetite. Her kidneys were only operating at 10% the other day. The future is uncertain, but many signs say she isn't getting better and that we will have to put her to sleep soon. This is obvious heartbreaking, especially to my mom, who has health battles and spends much of every day with her. I'm praying for healing and for a future free from the discomfort this disease could cause. If that's not an option, then we need to know when is the right time to help her get to the next life. This is coming at a very difficult and stressful time for me and it just feels like everything is crashing down (again). Prayers are requested all around.
