A new TLC song has leaked on YouTube. I like the song overall but the quality isn't good. It's either been bootleged or it's not properly mixed/mastered. I like the song but its definitely a softer one. Apparently it's a cover and some of the fans of the original version aren't crazy about TLC's take on the song...but I don't care. I just like to know they are in the studio under the radar. They sound off key or flat in the bridge, I'm going to listen to the original to see if that's on purpose. I never understood the point of lipsyncing performances...the entertainment value is just a bit limiting. Dancing to a song makes perfect sence, but having someone lipping it is just silly. It looks like the dancers put some work into this for it not being a dance performance. I definitely like that people appreciate his work enough to do something like this.

I felt the first half of it was a little drawn out...but 1:41 to 1:58 is amazing.

This is good! I truly like this and would love to have the track when it's finished. Positive things: You have a good voice for rhyming. The lyrics are great and motivational...plus their free from cussing but don't come off as "I'm going out of my way not to cuss." Also, the beat is nice to. Just really good stuff all around. Before I get to suggestions, let me just say that I haven't rapped in front of a crowd in YEARS. I haven't written a new song in YEARS. So I don't mean to come off to critical...only helpful. If I do say so, I think I'm pretty good and observing and critiquing. When I'm acting, I invite all kinds of feedback. When I watch recordings of myself performing, I tear my hair out because I could have upgraded my performance if I got to see my own performance and everything I'd like to tweek. Suggestions: You know the song and you got the right voice. I just feel like you need to vocally attack it. There certain lyrics and even the chorus where I could hear the lines being spit like FP on "Born To Reign." At points it felt like you weren't sync with the beat 100%. At those points, if you attacking it more, I feel that you would have been right with the beat. It may be pre-recorded, but I'd like to see you own it in a way that it feels like the beat is simply backing you up. The second suggestion is to find "yourself" on stage. I felt like the intro and the parts where you were just waiting to come in sucked the life out of the performance. I feel that the audience is gonna come down from the high of the song and think "okay, what's happening next." I'm not saying copy a certain performer. Eye contact, crowd interaction, and energy just need to be introduced. Since the song is relatively serious, it's cool even if you focus your eyes about 10 inch in front of your face and just rap that song like you are doing it for yourself and for yourself only. Other short points, serious songs can be very motivating and taken as a celebration. I think it would be okay to treat the song less serious and see how it reaches the crown. I'm not sayin be goofy, but think back serious Hip-Hop songs like Coolio's "Gangsta's Paradise." The song was so serious, but for performances, he livened it up. I'd also consider shortening the song 30 seconds or so. Album cuts can last that long but for performances, it might be better to compact things a little...or keep it the way it is and have the crowd rap the closing chorus with you. You got a great song on your hands...something to be really proud of. I'm hyped to see what you do with it.

I never read reviews before seeing a movie...and half the time I don't read them afterward either. I could care less what anyone thinks and a review isn't going to make me see a movie or NOT see a movie. I usually have my mind made up once I see a trailer or once I know who's cast in it. I think it's important as fans to talk up the movie and promote it just like we always have.

We all know I skipped straight to that 4:44 mark. I really don't want FP collaborating with this common commercial rap people. I don't care how long it's been since we heard new music. 50's had a moment or 2 where he shows us what he's capable of...but the chances of them collaborating and it being relevant isn't something I'm holding my breath for.

I just think they didn't receive proper promotion. The music was dope and fell right in line with a lot of sucessfull Hip-Hop at the time. I was bit into music at the time and I never knew about the group. It wasn't until Tim found out about them years later and brought them to my attention.

I'm lucky, I actually found a CD promo of "Where's The Party." It has a shorter/radio cut of Jazzy's remix, plus the full/extended version as well as the instrumental. Also the regular/album version. There were many new groups that came out out around this time College Boyz, UMC's, MC Brains, 2 In A Room, Joe Public who at least were one hit wonders at the time.

I think I'll enjoy it more the 2nd time around. By the way, did anyone notice Howard Stern walking through MIB headquarters in one of the scenes? LOL

I figure it's been awhile since we've discussed 2 Too Many and there's probably a handful of people on this board who aren't aware of them. 2 Too Many was a group that the Fresh Prince signed to him imprint WilJam back in the early 90's (through Jive Records). Basically, if you love JJ+FP/Homebase/LL Cool J/Heavy D + The Boyz or 90's Hip-Hop, you are going to like this group. Their album is so dope and I can't believe they didn' blow up. I think it's better than the second movie but I think the 2nd movie was funnier. I usually see FP's movies at least twice in theaters. The last 3 I haven't but Bad Boys, ID4, MIB, and BB3 I saw at least 3 times in the theaters. I saw BB3 in theaters 3 times during opening week...LOL.

I really liked the movie! This one focused more on story rather than comedy and action. While some moments moved a little slower than others, they kept the story moving. I would liked to have seen a little more action and comedy, but I"m still satisfied. I liked that they kept some of the quirky comedy but I don't think they had enough mainstream comedy to balance it out. I think all of the characters were great. I was upset that Frank the Pug wasn't in it. I understand that the dog must have passed on but I felt that the character should have been their played by another dog. I also wanted to Jeebs (who runs the pawn shop. He had about one second of screen time and I couldn't tell if it was the same actor or if it was a lookalike. I also wanted to see the guy who played the morgue guy/sci-fi nerd (I can't remember his name...the guy that plays Ian in the Chipmunks movies). The villian was kinda interesting to me but I really liked the Griff character. That guy was just on his game the entire time. The visuals were great and MIBisms made things feel like home. The ending was GREAT. To be honest, I saw something like that coming based on the little reference made earlier in the movie. I was interested in how the pieces were going to come together on that. I didn't dislike MIIB (or WWW) and I would like to see them come up with strong scripts in the future and return to it time and time again (as long as its good). NO REBOOTS!! As far as Fresh Prince movies (1995+), I like it better than Hancock and MIIB...and I will see this in theaters again. I"ve never seen a movie in 3D because the whole thing seemed lame to me. I might give it a try with MIB3.
