TLC 'We're Resurrecting Left Eye...FOR A REUNION TOUR' Exclusive Details For the first time in nearly a decade, TLC will be reuniting for a U.S. concert tour later this year -- and TMZ has learned, the late Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes will be making a special appearance. The group's rep tells us, Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas are currently in the planning stages of a massive 2012 reunion tour in the U.S. So far, we're told 5 major cities have already been booked -- and even more are in the works. But the big surprise ... we're told the group plans to pull a Tupac -- incorporating their deceased former member Left Eye in the shows, projecting her image on a big screen and working her vocals into the live performances. FYI -- today marks 10 years since a fatal car accident in Honduras took Left Eye's life. RIP. They've been talkin about so I know new music is in the works and they've wanting some touring stuff to work out in the US for years but they are FINALLY making it official on the 10th anniversary of Left Eye's death. Praise God!

This is why I need 2 visit the movie board more often. This is my 1st time seeing this! I'd love to see the whole thing. Fresh Prince, LL Cool J, and Heavy D are my top three favorite emcees. It still doesn't feel right that one of the coolest, nicest, and most talented people in Hip-Hop is gone. If you ask me, this goes on the FP music board...ain't nothing Hollywood about this. Rest In Peace Heavy D...Hip-Hop will never truly heal from this loss.

I usually like Nas' albums but they usually don't stick with me too long. I'm not sure. I'm happy to hear he's coming back out. The Heavy D-produced alone has me sold on the album. It's important to support artists the don't suck in these days.

Dick Clark is one of the first great personalities in my opinion. The first year I actually watched his New Year's special was the year that JJ+FP did "Summertime" and "The Things That U Do."

I must say, I wasn't crazy about this song when I first heard it a couple of months ago. I didn't dislike, it just didn't do anything for me. It quickly grew on me tho.'

Yeah, the song is dead in the water. If it weren't for this board, I wouldn't even know about it. It's not getting any play and nobody's talking about it.

Good point, hardcore Hip-Hop doesn't fit. Then again, I feel they've kinda out grown the "gangsta rap" label..."West coast Hip-Hop" might be a better label...who am I kidding? I hate labels.

This is one of my favorite interviews ever! I have thousands of CDs...and lots of cassettes and vinyl so it was cool to see the similarities in our collection. I also go into music stores and spend HOURS digging and get crazy giddy when I get an amazing deal on music. I also spend middle school and high school skipping lunch to spend money on music. I always say my favorite artists are one I identify with and I never knew I had that much common with Jazzy...lol. I also never get tired of hearing him talk about JJ+FP forming...or ANYTHING they've ever done for that person. Thanx for posting it!

Now for the first time we are hearing what Pac's mother Afeni Shakur thinks about seeing her son perform one more time. A rep told TMZ, Afeni was thrilled to see her son's likeness walking back and forth and rapping with Snoop and Dre. Dre reached out to AV Concepts to create the image and got Afeni's blessing before the show. Nick Smith, President of AV, says: "We worked with Dr. Dre on this and it was Dre's vision to bring this back to life." The hologram of Tupac was planned several months in advance and took nearly four months to create in a studio. Nick wouldn't admit how much Dre paid for the hologram, but did reveal that it would cost around $100,000 to $400,000 to produce a figure like Pac. It's clear that Dr. Dre wasn't sparing any expense for this performance, because in addition to shelling out big bucks for the hologram, he also got Afeni's approval and dropped a nice sized donation to The Tupac Amaru Shakur Foundation. Dope set...west coast hardcore Hip-Hop. I gotta say, 50 Cent and Wiz Khalifa were the weakest links. 50's set was tired.

I like the beat. It's unique and has a cool vibe. Unfortunatly, his flow lacks life like a lot of current new kids rapping. The subject matter doesn't go anywhere but that doesn't bother me too much.

Yeah, it still kills me that the 2 of them are gone. My friend posted the 2Pac hologram video on their Facebook. I joked that if they do one for Aaliyah, I'm going to ask it to marry me.

I saw one of these videos before coming to the board. It's crazy. Some of "2Pac's" mannerisons and stage presence were on spot while others made it obvious that the movement was based of someone else. It's still insanely cool. At the same time, I have to say that its kinda weird. With TLC being one of my favorite groups, they've talked about going on tour again and I don't think I'd want to see them do this with Left Eye. Her 1999/2000 performance synced up on a screen were good enough for me like they did in their last few performances. I'd like to hear other opinions on this.

I've been thinking about this more; how having the artist involved can make the movie biased and I must say I don't completely agree. I mean, I agree it can be biased, but when I think back on movies and documentaries that have been done, the ones that have the artist involved are ALWAYS better and have a more balanced story. They even feel more accurate to me. Have you ever seen that AWFUL Michael Jackson movie that VH1 did. On top of being one of the worst movies I've ever seen, I remember it only focusing on the negative. It was a movie about him dangling a baby over a balcony. It wasn't about the music, his internal struggles, his successes. But then I think of Tupac Resurrection and not only did it seem incredibly accurate to me, it let you get to know the man, whether you like him or his music or not. I also think of The Last Days of Left Eye which was produced by her family. It was very accurate and entertaining. In the long run, I think it's good that Ice Cube is involved. He was there. He knows the facts. He won't let inaccurate stuff works its way into the movie. Since he's been involved in Hollywood for years, he'll make sure it's entertaining.

Since I was never a Biggie fan I never saw Notorious. I have a mild interest in seeing it and my brother has the DVD so I'll borrow it some time. I don't have a negative reaction to Ice Cube producing it and I think F. Gary Gray is the PERFECT directer. I was only kinda into N.W.A. but I'm excited for this project.

It was announced on Tuesday that F. Gary Gray had beaten out names like John Singleton ("Boyz N The Hood"), George Tillman Jr. ("Notorious") and Elgin James ("Little Birds") for the chance to direct the N.W.A. bio film being set up at New Line. Like Tillman's "Notorious" -- a wildly underrated classic about Notorious B.I.G. and not the Alfred Hitchcock thriller -- "Straight Outta Compton" will likely have a "Behind the Music" feel; the rap group N.W.A. (which stands for N----- With Attitude) rose to fame in the late '80s, but suffered the usual array of musical meltdowns and internal conflict. No word yet on casting, but expect the process to be interesting: N.W.A. counted current superstars Ice Cube and Dr. Dre among its members, as well as Eazy-E, the group founder who died of AIDS-related complications in 1995. Ice Cube is a producer on "Straight Outta Compton." Gray could be the perfect man to direct this material. He made his feature directorial debut on the Ice Cube comedy "Friday," and also directed Cube's video for "It Was a Good Day." Gray's involvement means that he won't direct "Captain America 2" for Marvel. He was in the running for that job along with Joe and Anthony Russo ("Community") and George Nolfi ("The Adjustment Bureau"). With that film scheduled for an April 4, 2014 release date, expect some announcement soon.

I only saw Total Recall once waaaaaay back in the day. I remember really liking it. I'm not crazy about all these reboots and remakes. It looks like everyone who never saw the original will love this. I'm not sure how others will feel.

L+F dropped during a really dark time for me and lasted all the way through a turn around. Willennium did the same thing. Since I usually listen to his/their albums regularly for a very long time, they really do serve as the soundtrack for those times. Those albums brighten my day...especially when they were new. I'm believing for some really good times ahead...so a new song or 2 would really be nice. :)
