  1. I can't believe we haven't really discussed this on the board yet. His new album is so dope...probably THE BEST Hip-Hop album of 2011. Nearly all of his albums are flawless...or darn near flawless. This album keeps that tradition alive. I can some up the whole thing by saying his classic Common Sense flow is in place with dope and clever lyrics. The production is dope on every single song. The sound is classic and timeless. Period. If you claim to love Hip-Hop, GET THIS ALBUM. Blue Sky Ghetto Dreams Celebrate
  2. I just can't hate...I love this song. People give Justin Bieber crap since he's so popular but I always give his music and honest listen and often times, it's good. Beyond teens and preteens loving, I think his success comes from being a pretty genuine person who respects good music. Jaden sounds nice but he sound a little too much like the current "rappers" on the radio who just sound tired and lazy in their deliver. In "Now or Never" he had some fire behind his delivery.
  3. I'm not on Twitter but I clicked the link... What am i looking for?
  4. I don't know...I think that's exactly what is needed. I'm sure none of them is okay with the way things are, even if it's not on the front of their brain on a daily basis. She DOES need to forgive and move on. And maybe FP does owe that to her. I'd like to see this happen. No so much an official "reunion"...just a resolution that hopefully end up being a positive thing.
  5. Heavy D Cause of Death Revealed Heavy D died from a pulmonary embolism caused by deep leg vein thrombosis ... and a long flight back to L.A. from a Michael Jackson memorial concert may have been a contributing factor. A pulmonary embolism is a blockage of one or more arteries in the lungs -- most often caused by blood clots which travel in from other parts of he body. In Heavy's case, the clot was formed in his legs. Days before Heavy died, he was on a flight back from Europe, after performing at the Michael Jackson tribute concert in Wales. Officials from the L.A. County Coroner's Office say Heavy also suffered from heart disease, which could have been a contributing factor in his death. The Coroner's Office has classified the death as "natural." As TMZ first reported, Heavy died on November 9, 2011. He was 44 years old. Deep leg vein thrombosis is often associated with long plane flights, in which a clot can form due to prolonged immobility. Story developing ...
  6. Whether she's telling the truth or fabricating things, I don't feel bad for her. All of this was so long ago...who really cares?! In the end, if FP says she has a bad attitude, she has done nothing but proof it for over 15 years. She says FP's a jerk...but no one else says this...so who are we REALLY going 2 believe? If he was, he'd be letting loose on her for saying all the stuff she has said over the years. There's a reason she isn't getting a lot of work and he's one of the biggest celebrities in the world. She's spent more years bad mouthing the Fresh Prince than she's had managing a career....which she killed by acting this way. I also think there's a reason u don't see ANYONE else in the cast being cool with her. If it was really FP being a jerk, don't u think she'd remain friends with SOMEONE else in the cast?? She also says he's STILL a jerk. How would she know this if she hasn't been around him in YEARS?!?
  7. Awesome...I don't think they've every talked about the origin of the song like that. I've heard the part about it "being the Summer that "Summertime" isn't going to be played before tho.'...lol. Thanks for posting!
  8. I Gotta Lotta Am I the only one who doesn't like that Vinnie has really taken a back seat 2 the new music? Sure, Treach is the lyrical beast of teh group, but Vinnie is still one of the greatest emcees. He's got one of the smoothest voices in the game.
  9. Personally, it doesn't feel much like Christmas to me this year...but nonetheless... MeRRy CHRiSTMaS!!!
  10. I meant 2 post this earlier this week (one of my friends actually posted it on my Facebook). Here's an article on it from AOL/Huffpost... 'Fresh Prince Of Bel Air' Cast Reunited (PHOTO) If you can recite the entire "The Fresh Prince of Bel Air" theme song, then you'll enjoy this. They haven't been an on-screen family for nearly 16 years, but the cast of the TV show that made Will Smith a household name, have kept in touch. Smith posted this photo of himself with the Banks family on his Facebook page -- yes that's James Avery, Karyn Parsons, Alfonso Riberio and Tatyana Ali, perhaps better known as Uncle Phil, Hillary, Carlton and Ashley to fans. Smith wrote, "Got the Holiday season started right with a "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" reunion...there's nothin' like spending Holidays with fam! " According to TMZ, the photo was taken last week at a luncheon for Parson's charity Sweet Blackberry, a non-profit organization aims to share stories of African American achievement with children. Of course it wasn't a complete reunion -- noticeably absent were Daphne Reid and Janet Hubert who both played Vivian Banks, and Joseph Marcell, who played everyone's favorite wisecracking butler, Geoffrey. 11. So far, I'm unable to find it. I could only find the MP3 album download... http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002VOP5TY/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1/180-1299002-0789063?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_r=1PR13TBKVFP6764ZGFC4&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_i=B001A62Q5U
  12. www.Gemm.com is a really good one that I've used for over 10 years. Just like any other site, u just need to make sure the seller doesn't look shady. I'm pretty good at finding stuff. Reply to this thread or shoot me a private message and I'll see if I can find it for you.
  13. JOE - Christmas In New York This is sooooooo good.
  14. NAUGHTY BY NATURE + QUEEN LATIFAH - God Is Us Anthems Inc. (2011) Haven't had a song move me like this one in ages...This is everything that's right with Hip-Hop.
  15. OH SNAP!!! This THE BEST song I've heard from Naughty since the 90's! This is better than anything we've heard so far. I'm not even mad that Latifah doesn't spit on this.
  16. Mariah just put out this new video...I really like this.
  17. First off, his new album is DOPE. I peeped it when it dropped and purchased the CD online (which hasn't arrived yet). It's easily one of my favorite Hip-Hop albums of year...maybe THE BEST one of 2011. Drake is wack. I must say I get a little angry every time I hear his weak voice say "Last name ever, first name greatest" because NOTHING could be so far from the truth. I wish more real emcees put these untalented cornballs in their place. It's time for this fools like Drake to fall off and for real emcees to get some shine again.
  18. For some reason I never expected a video like this from you. The way you handled your part of the interview was done really well.
  19. I vaguely remember the 1st one!! That Nancy Carrington (sp?) is hilarious. Man, I miss the 90's...and I miss looking forward to The FBofBA every week!
  20. RUN, SALT-N-PEPA, ONYX, KEITH MURRAY, SNOOP DOGG, PUFFY, MASE - Santa Baby A Very Special Christmas 3(?) (1997) So dope...
  21. Funny...I love the "human kitten" line and the "Besides welfare" part. If I snorted when I laughed, I would have done it at those party.
  22. MARY J. BLIGE - 25/8 My Life II (2011) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sJSy40xbsQ It's so cool being down with an artist from day one and watching them turn into one of music's biggest legends...and she's still got DECADES of classic music in her.
  23. And now for something completely different... THE CHIPMUNKS + CHIPETTES Survivor (2011) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iY0_31bEBwM LOL
  24. Is that really a remake of "Uptown's Anthem"...it just sounds sped up to me. "I Know It's Like" is nice, but the beat is bit watered down for Naughty's vibe.
  25. One of the pivotal R-N-B groups of the 90's has returned!! SWV broke up at the end of the 90's and Coko had a moderately successful solo career before transitioning to gospel music where she also had some success. The last few years they've done some touring and now they are kicking things into overdrive. Here is the new single, "Co-Sign" off of the upcoming album they are working on. I'm loving this. They sound great and their chemistry hasn't faltered a bit over time. The production is solid and has a fresh but 90's vibe to it. This is probably the most excited I've been about R-N-B in awhile.
