I have a handful...Rock The House (1987), Girls Ain't Nothing But Trouble (1986 + 1987), The Magnificent Jazzy Jeff, A Touch of Jazz, Brand New Funk/Girls (1988), Parents Just Don't Understand, I Think I Can Beat Mike Tyson, The Groove, Yo! Home To Bel-Air, Ring My Bell, The Things That U Do, U Saw My Blinker, I Wanna Rock, Megamix, Just Crusin' (Remix), Gettin' Jiggy Wit It, Miami, Willennium, Will 2K, So Fresh, Party Starter...maybe a few others. I'll try 2 get a pic sometime in the near future. Since half of them are promos, they don't have real cover art.

The show was amazing. They played to a sold out house in Baltimore. It's called Ram's Head Live and it's my personal favorite venue. I know how to work the system so that I can make it up front every time...lol It's funny because at last minute, I couldn't find anyone who could go with me so I ended up going with a friend of a friend. Anyways... If you click the link above, you can see the set list. They did a mixture of classics, recent stuff, and a few songs off the new album. The fellas came out dressed relatively formal to their new song "Believe"...the ONLY song on the new album that I'm not crazy about...lol. They covered the stage throughout the whole show and gave crazy love to the audience. The banter in between songs covered various topics such as the first time you heard a classic song, a message of worldwide love, thankfulness for their loyal fans, supporting REAL music, etc. The entire set was tight and very professional. I was impressed with how much choreography they incorporated into their set. They sounded flawless and sung their hearts out through the entire show. They also handed out roses to the ladies on "I'll Make Love To You." On to of everything going on, they also had a lot of fun. Wanya is a bit of show off with silly dancing. Nate decided to make up his own new lyrics for "Motownphilly." During "A Song For Mama," the three girls who were standing next to me called their moms on their cell phone (so did I) and handed them to Nate. He held all three phones in one hand and sung direction into them an the mic for his verse. At times they were cracking each other up with the kind of things they were doing on stage. My favorite part was probably the end tho.' They did 2 songs that weren't on the list that are 2 of my favs. Before closing out with "Motownphilly," they did "Flow" off the new album, which lead into "Roll Wit Me." Since those numbers weren't really staged, the guys got really loose and you could tell they were just in the zone. I love the classic ballads because that's what they are known for, but really love the uptempo stuff. All in all the night was amazing. They did a meet and greet for fans who wanted to upgrade. The meet and greet went rather quickly and even though I don't get nervous around celebrities, I didn't have anything interesting to say. I complimented them on the new album and the show and wished them a safe tour. While they were all super chill and down to earth, Wanya seemed the most friendly. They also gave autographed lanyards out to all of the people who did the meet and greet. It was truly an amazing night and really hope I have the chance to see them again. I also hope something happens so this album can get some proper marketing. It's a fantastic album and there's no reason it should be overlooked while R-N-B artists like Chris Brown, Jason Durulo, and Rihanna have success with watered down dance-n-b.

DJ Lord of Public Enemy Shows Love For My Book!
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ataraxia's topic in Caught in the Middle
That's truly something to be proud of! Congrats! -
I don't recall him saying he wanted "Tell Me Why" to be the first single. That's interesting. To me, I think "Switch" was the perfect 1st single and "Party Starter" was the perfect 2nd single. When a song is as heavy as "Tell Me Why," it's rare for it to be the 1st single.

BOYZ II MEN - Doin' Just Fine Evolution (1997)

I must admit, the first time I saw his video, I wasn't feeling it. I fell asleep on the sofa and work up at like 4 in the morning. I was like "what is this?!" and turned it off. As the song has gotten more popular and I've seen it more, I kinda like it. It's not my taste, but it's different and artsy.

This is probably the best I've ever heard Jada on record. Unfortunately I never got Wicked Wisdom's first album and never got into their metal stuff. On this new track, her voice sores and she sounds better than ever. It's vulnerable, raw, and even a little dark/haunting. Check it. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/02/15/jada-pinkett-smith-burn_n_1279742.html?ref=divorce&icid=maing-grid7|maing8|dl6|sec3_lnk1%26pLid%3D136943 Jada Pinkett Smith's 'Burn' Song Dedicated To Will Smith First Posted: 02/15/2012 4:58 pm Updated: 02/15/2012 5:02 pm It seems Jada Pinkett Smith is trying to put those pesky divorce rumors to rest. On Tuesday, the actress used her Facebook page to release a new song, "Burn," dedicated to her husband of 14 years, Will Smith. On the track, Pinkett Smith sings, "Can you feel my heartbeat?/Next to yours?/Stay here within me/Never leave me/I want to burn." In a note accompanying the song, the actress wrote: With the major losses we have experienced in the last few weeks... We should remember... Our lives are worth living fully. Therefore... Our risks are worthy. Our mistakes are worthy. Our traumas are worthy as well. The very paths we are told not to tread are the paths that hold the keys to our deepest understanding of love for our lives and ourselves. Self love is the gateway to truly loving another...deeply We were born to be loved and to love... fiercely. Will, I love you. Happy Valentine's Day. This is for you. The split rumors emerged last August, when In Touch Weekly reported that the couple had allegedly separated. In a statement released shortly after the report, the couple denied the claims: "Rumors circulating about our relationship are completely false," it read. "We are still together, and our marriage is intact." Still, the rumors continued to circulate, with sources claiming that Pinkett Smith had met with celebrity divorce lawyer Laura Wasser in early January, though the couple was spotted together later that month at a Philadelphia 76ers basketball game. Listen to Jada's song below, and then tell us: Is the star couple's marriage really on the rocks?

JJFP performing 'Summertime' at Superbowl 1992
JumpinJack AJ replied to Ale's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Yeah, I see Jazzy here. I could be wrong, but this just reminds me of that performance. Sadly, I didn't get to tape this performance and I was 11 or 12 years old when it aired...lol. As U remember, FP was dressed a lot like this for part of the coverage. He kinda hosted the event as I remember. When he did "U Saw My Blinker," I remember a different outfit...at least a different hat and he was rocking sunglasses. I don't recall seeing Jazzy when it aired on TV. Either this is a different performance or my memory is just bad (gimmie a break...lol). It's also possible that MTV wasn't giving Jazzy love for one reason or another if he was in fact at the MTV event I watched....but I doubt it. -
WHITNEY HOUSTON + AKON - Like I Never Left I Look To You (2009) This is one of my favorites off her last album. THAT LL COOL J JOINT IS DOPE!!! I love the energy and swag!! LFO was different from other guy groups. They were tossed in the same category as the boys bands which was totally unfair, tho' they were packaged that way a bit in 1999. LFO used to be a straight Hip-Hop group and started singing more by the time they got signed. They mixed genres and wrote all their stuff. I was fortunate to hang out with them and talk to Rich often. They are truly some of the coolest people ever met....plus their live show is great. I like a lot of Jessica and Nick's stuff too. I their soulful side and Nick's writing ability.

I love that Whitney was the star of the evening before the show even started. LL is doing an amazing job hosting. It was ill the way he opened the show in prayer! He has more pressure on him as a host than anyone else has ever had due to Whitney's passing. Chris Brown's performance was okay. He's talented but his misses the mark on a lot of his music by being too common of an "urban" artist. Rihanna looks and sounds great...but I really can't stand Coldplay.

I gotta say that I get really annoyed that people bring up her drug addition. We know it was a part of her life. She discussed it, owned up to it, and moved on. Maybe she back slid and maybe she didn't. Why does anyone feel it necessary to bring it up when she touched millions of people with her talent and music? Why focus on the negative? Celebrate life. Celebrate the greatest voice of all time. Stop being an idiot. Nuff said.

Ahhhh! I'm 99% sure this is when FP performed for the MTV event tied to the Super Bowl. As I remember, Jazzy wasn't there. Later on he performed "U Saw My Blinker." -

Some of you know that I was heart broken back in October when my local dinner theater, somewhere I've worked on and off for the past 14 years may have to close its doors due to a tough economy, marketing challenges, and a struggle to create a fresh buzz in the area. We'll we've officially announced our next season starts in May. This is an answered prayer to myself and and many other performance and audience members. Thanks to those of you who acted when I posted about it in the Prayer/Support topic. We shot something for the local news earlier today and you can see me (a very mellow, serious me...lol) for a moment in the video at the link below. http://your4state.com/fulltext/?nxd_id=236392 HAGERSTOWN, MD - The Washington County Playhouse looked like it might be heading for its final curtain call, but now it's getting a second chance and nobody's cheering louder than those who perform under its lights. Kelly Kozlowski grew up with a passion to perform. She visited the Playhouse as a kid and now she's a star on its stage. "I was lucky enough to be exposed to theater at a young age, but a lot of kids don't get that opportunity now," she says. But now they could get that chance. She was thrilled to learn the Playhouse would stay open for another season after almost taking a final curtain call. "I had been losing sleep wondering what was going to happen to the theater," says owner Jeff Czerbinski. "And now I'm losing sleep because I'm excited and enthusiastic about what we will be doing with it." Enough patrons committed to season tickets this week to help the Playhouse stay open. Now they're hoping with more outreach, they can turn things around. "The word of mouth is going to be critically important," says Czerbinski. For those who work there, it's not just dinner and a show. "There's really not an outlet for performers in this area to work with other people with the caliber of talent that we have here," says actor Adam Blackstock. The Playhouse's new production, comedy-musical Nunsense II, is currently showing. To find out how to buy tickets, head to www.wcpdt.com

I agree 100%!! Easily one of the greatest half time shows ever! Even with trash like LMFAO and Icky Minaj on stage with her, she killed it. Madonna may have done some moderately crazy things in her career, but that fact that she's so honest is what has kept her around and so relevant over the years.

BRITT NICOLE - Set The World On Fire Lost Get Found (2009) I really wish her music was invading the charts. I love that there is another Rich Cronin fan on the board! I've always identified with his music and was fortunate to be cool with him.

I'm sure her album will do fine. They'll release a single shortly before it drops and it'll likely do well. As long as it's decent, I'll get it, but I can't say I'm that interested in the album until I know that FP is rhyming on it.
