I saw this news with Russell Simmons first posted it on Facebook. I couldn't take anymore bad news after the loss of Heavy D. I'm happy to hear he's okay. He's had a few rough things happen over the past few years. I finally recently got around to picking up the latest EPMD album.

This is the dopest thing I've heard in awhile!! The lyrics are on point and relevant. Ne-Yo is actually singing for the first time in awhile. I love the sound to. The foundation of the beat and guitar sounds great. I'm not crazy about the "digital" sounds but they do add some flava to the song. This is track is all around great and I hope it's a huge hit for LL. Hip-Hop NEEDS this to be big. I'm still mentally held down from the passing of Heavy D, but this has lifted my spirits some. Thanks for sharing this!

JJ+FP has never been much for collaborations. In today's radio forecast, it's bleak, embarrassing, and ignorant. There aren't many artists for them to consider working with. I rather hear quality music rather than excess for the sake of doing so. I prefer to only have Jeff on the boards. For a "solo" record for FP, I'm okay with a few producers working with him as long as its quality. I could care less if it's a big name, I just want to hear him rhyming over good beats.

I just looked on ebay and the instrumental is available on import CD singles and 12" vinyl. It didn't have the version of the single that I have so I'll have to dig. I won't mind getting one of these other versions but they are a bit overpriced for what they are worth. I'll keep u posted.

I don't think I have it and I don't think it was released. I have the CD single and I think it only has those Hip-Hop/dancehall remixes that feature Supercat (the Kris' don't even rhyme on those remixes. think the instrumental to the remix is on there but it's a completely different song. I'll check for it in the next day or so. I imagine it would have been on the vinyl single or DJ promo releases.

New Jack Swing is an amazing era. Sophistication and class with an urban edge. Colors were vibrant and the suits were smart (lol). The energy was one of a kind and and the sound was sugary sweet. Some artists' catalogs were completely New Jack Swing while other artists dibbled and dabbed in it. It was where Hip-Hop and R-N-B music truly merged and the pop scene embraced it. Only a few of the songs have actually been released and most of the work on this mixtape is better than the stuff on Love Opus. Heavy D has always been one of those emcees that regularly gets brought up on this board. He came out at the same time as JJ+FP and has stayed relevant over the years. He's a genuinely loved and respected artist. There's so much more to be reflected on. I'm curious about everyone else's memories when it comes to the Nuttin' But Love era...even if you are just now visiting it.

He finished the album with "Lord's Prayer" which featured his up and coming group Soul IV Real on vocals. The album winded down over a year after it got started. As Nuttin' But Love started to wind down, he pushed Soul IV Real out on their own. "Candy Rain" was an undeniable smash which lead to an amazing R-N-B album. If you aren't familiar with it, check out these bad brothers. Here's the Heavy D-channeled remix video... And the follow up single... On YouTube you can also find the "Ain't No Sunshine" video which has Heavy setting them up by having them audition for Andre Harrell who Heavy replaced as the head of Uptown Records just years later. "If You Want It" was also a respectable hit for the group. I have the single but I don't recall a video for it. I remember them performing it on Soul Train tho.'

The dope thing about this album was that it was a MONSTER. It had hits left and right and got crazy love...in the midst of everybody trying to be gangsta. Don't get me wrong, I was listening to Snoop back then and I recognize Snoop's work at great stuff. When I go back to listening to "old" music, you better believe this album (as all of of Hev's music), I pull Nuttin' But Love out much more often. It's a much better "feel good" vibe to it and I can relate to it today just as much as I did back in 1994. I can only relate to Snoop's, Dre's, Cube's music to a certain extent. And there are things in their music I could relate to more back then than I can now. The video for "Nuttin' But Love" was even larger. Tim put it at the top of this thread. The girls in the video are diverse and beautiful. The colors are vibrant and the video is just fun. The remix for Black Coffee also did well and the ladies loved it. Heavy always respected the ladies and that's why they loved him, regardless of him being overweight, having a chipped tooth, and a sometimes lazy eye. As the album winded down, he dropped Pete Rock produced "Sex Wit You" which got love from the Yo! MTV Raps crowd. Just a classic album and every joint on the album is as dope as the singles.

HA HA!! I just posted on one of my friend's walls a couple weeks ago how we thought the intro to the album was dope...but that Spike Lee was soooooooooo annoying. I remember when I first heard about the "new" album. I was in my mom's car when "Got Me Waiting" came on. It was classic Heavy D and the song was dope. From that moment, I was counting the days for it to drop. Conrad Murray Breaks Silence -- Reveals Michael Jackson's Last Words Posted on Nov 9th 2011 12:30PM by Sarah Chazan In the days since his guilty verdict in the Michael Jackson manslaughter trial, Dr. Conrad Murray has remained oddly silent. So many questions linger about the physicians mindset on the fateful afternoon of MJ's death and the exact nature of Murray and Jackson's relationship. But all that is about to change with the announcement that MSNBC is planning to air the special, 'Michael Jackson and The Doctor: A Fatal Friendship' this Friday (Nov. 11) at 10 p.m., Eastern time. According to The Daily Mail, the documentary began filming in November 2009, five months after MJ's death in June, and features a series of exclusive interviews with the doctor. In one chilling moment, Murray describes the last minutes of Michael's life, and the alleged last words of the musical idol. "He was pleading and begging to please please let him have some milk because that was the only thing that would work,' said Murray, referring to propofol, the anaesthetic that Michael eventually overdosed on. Defending his dosing strategy of the lethal prescription, Murray claims: "He [Michael] really could not sleep. Have you ever seen the 'Thriller' image when he was made up? He looked that hysterical." Sadly, that final dose proved to be a huge misstep, as the doctor described the scene after Michael lost consciousness. "I told security to get the kids away from there, get the kids away because I did not want them to see their father getting CPR," says Murray. "And he (the security guard) says, 'Doctor, doctor, what happened?' I need help! I'm doing CPR, Mr Jackson's not breathing! Call 911! I need you to call 911!" The now-disgraced doctor goes on to describe his loving relationship with MJ, perhaps in an attempt to downplay his role in the King of Pop's death. "He [Jackson] said of all my life I have found one friend, which is you, Dr Conrad. He had a dad who never hugged him, never hugged his own children. He lived a life greater than 100 years of pain, only human on Earth.' says Murray. Currently, Jackson's private physician is being held in solitary confinement in the medical wing of Los Angeles County Jail due of fears he could be targeted by other inmates. There are also reports Murray has been under suicide watch since the guilty verdict came in. He'll return to court on November 29 for sentencing. In the meantime, TMZ is reporting today that MJ's death bed is going up for auction on Dec. 17.
