Talent used to be recognized, there were silly artists who had some hits, some gold records, etc... but they were never seen as serious artists, they didn't get the recognition from the public and the industry as serious artists, they got some airplay and then faded after a few years. The real artists got the recognition, but now, it's like it's the opposite, the real artists don't get recognized while the teeny bopper, bubble gum acts get all the praise, get all the attention, get all the fruits of being in the music industry.
