  1. I don't even know what to say.... When i heard the sample they were using I looked it up and wasn't sure how this would fit. It doesn't feel like an MIB track... They needed to go back to the roots of the original track
  2. I would have thought that if there was a soundtrack to the movie, it would have been done and dusted by now seen as there is only 8 weeks until the release
  3. This makes no sense..... The MIB theme songs belong to Will. I was really hoping Will would give us something smooth to get down to as a precursor to his album. All I can hope is that he is putting his musical efforts into this new album...with Jeff
  4. Is it normal (or even smart) to release an album 2 years after the first single??
  5. I'd really echo what the other guys are saying... Out of interest are you rapping from memory or rapping from the page? This makes a big difference to your deliverance.. Rapping to a beat will most definitely help you with your flow and timing. At the moment it seems a little off as it was probably just written to no music. There's nothing wrong with that as I often write to know beat, but if I am constructing a song or writing a verse I know will be a part of a song at a later date I will 100% always write to the beat. This opens up so many ways you can play around with your vocals flow wise. The beat will help you get a rhythm and really define your sound. I won't add anything more regarding the name references as I agree entirely with what the others have said. Everybody starts somewhere, but its the hard work and dedication that will determine where you end up and how good you become. My very first recording is a million miles away from my current ones. You just gotta keep pushing and not be discouraged if people aren't feeling 100% what you are putting out now! Use that as your fuel to improve and get better.
  6. He hasn't changed his beatbox in 10 years! I think he thinks he is better than he is at it!
  7. Looked like a great show and set! Glad you had an awesome time!
  8. The more I think about it.. The more I'm not sure about this one... Would have rather seen them both in an action thriller! Director doesn't seem like he has many great movies behind him either
  9. That's one huge area a lot of battle rappers lack in... They dont know how to make songs! There are a few that have it down and made the transition successfully but on the whole it's pretty weak!
  10. Thesaurus vs Dumbfoundead Justice vs Thesaurus
  11. The more you watch... the more you get into it. You start to learn about their backstories and rivalries they have! Thesaurus and Illmaculate are legends in the battle arena. They came up in The Jump Off league and destroyed everyone put their way in the freestyle street battles. The leagues now are written battles and I think this is a great step for the genre! Some people still incorporate freestyles in their raps... especially when flipping another verse. Some notible battles and some of my fav's are: Pat Stay Vs Hollohan Dizaster Vs HFK Thesaurus Vs Illmaculate Charron / HFK vs Bartone / Stepeasy (Charron is probably one of the best at flipping and rebuttals)
  12. I'm a huge follower and long time fan of the American/Canadian and British battle leagues. I don't know if any of you guys follow them (Grindtime, Don't Flop, Smack URL etc) HOWEVER, my all time favourite league without a shadow of a doubt is 'King of the Dot'. Organik has practically brought this league to the forefront of battle rap. If you don't know I would strgonly suggest you head over to YouTube and check out some of the battles. Notible battlers are: Thesaurus Illmaculate Pat Stay Charron Dizaster They have just released one of the biggest match ups ever to grace any battle league! Check this out... I am so hyped!
  13. Wow.... RIP Whitney .... Speechless
  14. Posted on Will's Facebook with the caption: " 'Bout to make some movie magic in Costa Rica!"
  15. Why feel embarrassed? I've used them all over the years Music 2000, Reason, eJay, Garageband you name it. If he results are good who cares how you got there! I recently made the jump to Logic. Mainly because my PC went schizo and I'd had enough of Microsoft. I must say though converting to a Mac and Logic is probably one of the best decisions I've made. I'm not claiming to be some big time producer (completely far from it) but I have noticed a distinct improvement in the quality of my beats. Logic is huge! It's gonna take me a long time to master it but it is sooooo powerful and allows you to really be creative. Defo one to think about! Keep it up tho!
  16. This definitely sounds more complete... definitely your best one yet. What are you using to make your beats?
  17. What an amazing picture... What an amazing concept... What an amazing album this will be!!
  18. Without a doubt your best video yet!! Very clever and extremely well executed!! BRAVO!!
  19. Great job J! I'm on my hols in a few weeks so should hopefully be able to pen my verse for that track!
