It's not A DISS. What he's saying is, we're in the spotlight, and you really aren't. It's the truth. Will Smith is a man who in these days, is known by his name. How simple and common is a name like WIll Smith? Extremely common, but I'm willing to bet if you went out on the street, and said it to everyone you saw, 99% of them would mention the Rapper/Actor. Jazzy Isn't. He's known, but not in the spotlight. No where did he diminish jeff's skills. no where did he say Jeff sucked. Let's not put words in his mouth... The "Pointing" was more of a "I'm kanye, i'm on top, and the haters are far below me"... Maybe it wasa poor way to say it, but it wasn't a diss, in my eyes. He has no reason to. Kanye has never been the type to start problems with other artists for no reason.

Major labels do sign them. They just don't get face time. That has to do with a lot of things. you just have to know where to look to hear them.

It's not everyone that can last that long in this industry. Much Respect.

It's not even the producer by name though. If the beats hot, it'll help it sell. The average listener doesn't care who produced a track, as long as it sounds good.

Producers sell, and get less recognition than they deserve.

Why is it, everytime another MC shouts out JJFP in a song, everyone is quick to call it a diss? This doesn't even sound like a diss. Kanye has no reason to hate on him. You know Kanye. You can do it with Windows.. In the control Panel, under ppower management I believe. It's called hibernation. It's not exactly turning off and turning back on, but it is saving power. You tell it when to go to sleep (After how ever many minutes if inactivity), and when to wake itself back up.

In the NBA, once you get too old, and can't perform at a high level to attract potential fans with flashy highlight reel dunks, OR they feel you can't contribute to anymore to make the team a winner...OR they see a potential deal that makes them younger, in the process, they take. they trade you, they cut you, they drop you, and get younger/bring in what they feel "the people want", or what's best for your team. The Rockets traded scottie pippen on that. The pacers traded dale davis (Who was an all star the year before), for a young jermaine O'neal. The Lakers traded shaq. same with music. Not just Hip Hop. Look back..5 or 6 years. Nsync? the Backstreet Boys? Britney Spears? They were some of the highest selling artists back then. What happened to them? their fans grew up and stopped caring..so now what? You can't just close down the label, move on to the next big talent. Hilary Duff? Lindsey Lohan...Of course. They're younger, and will draw in the younger kids again. The same kids who wouldn't really like a 30 year old backstreet boys group. Contracts are worth more. You can't spend a 2 million dollar pay roll on an artists project if you aren't CERTAIN it's what the people want. You take a risk with every new artist. 50 cent for example. Columbia records dropped him before releasing his first solo album. I'm sure they wish he was back there, pulling in the paper he's getting now. Hit or Miss. It's a business. Sad but true.

yes but they ALL RAP. Jeff doesn't really Rap. maybe he did on a few songs back when, but unlike Dre, Timbo, Kanye, ETC who rap on all their albums, Jeff doesn't. If Kanye never starter spitting, he'd be like a Just Blaze, or 9th Wonder. Few would know them by name, wouldn't pay them much notice. an Album, especially one on a big budget label, wouldn't be as profitable. a Mixtape makes WAY more sense in that situation.
