  1. Thats what I said about Will after Lost and Found....
  2. Bill Cosby's path has taken him from pudding pops to hip hop. The 70-year-old has recorded a hip-hop album set for release next month. "Cosby Narratives Vol. 1: State of Emergency" blends the comedian's concepts and stories with a hip-hop, pop and jazz soundtrack. "I do not rap on any of these things," Cosby told The Associated Press on Monday. "I wouldn't know how to fix my mouth to say some of the words." Cosby said the hip-hop music he hears is profane and degrading. His album is "the opposite of what I think is the profanity for no particular reason, the misogyny for no particular reason," he said. "It really looks at the frustration and the anger that a young man may have." The album, assembled by Cosby's longtime musical collaborator Bill "Spaceman" Patterson, contains rhymes provided by guest rappers. The subject matter? "The value of an education. The value of respecting one's self and . . . giving [listeners] a chance to raise their self-esteem and confidence," Cosby said. Patterson said he was surprised when Cosby first inquired about making a rap record -- until the comedian revealed he wouldn't be the one doing the rapping. "People started speculating, is he going to rap about Jell-O Pudding Pops or what?" Patterson said. "But he's always been involved in music and he was there for the first generation of spoken word. . . . He has always understood rap's potential, but he was appalled by the foul language and the misogyny -- the way people used a medium that could be used to elevate people, to open their eyes and provoke thought." Cosby made the album as a companion to his 2007 best-selling book, "Come on, People: On the Path From Victims to Victors." source: yahoo.com
  3. that was deep AJ ive never seen this post before... thx for bringing that up. Ive always liked other music other than hip hop. Salsa for example, but that is lowering down too, because lately everybody in here have been listenning to reggaeton. Anyways, hip hop always have had and will have an special place in my heart. As with everything, theres some good rappers, and some bad rappers. I have songs I like from bad rappers, and there are songs I dislike from good ones, but hip hop is all about the fans actually. And the artists give the people what they ask for, exceptions some cases in which they just bring what they want and they feel to do. My love for hip hop will always be the same as I have my old cds, classics, and new songs from some artists that i like. thats why hip hop is always gonna be alive as long as theres people who love it like i do.
  4. way to go AJ finally getting new reviews, I have to get this album!
  5. lol, yeah that.. Now puffy stuff with mase is a classic compared to some of this..

  7. I thought Will was still 30ish... lol, anyways, 40 are definitely the hip right now, and i cant wait till 18 years pass quickly so that I hit 40 and be as hip as u people, lol. Ok, sorry charlie and all of the 40s club for that one..
  8. Lets wait and see people, wait and see....
  9. People please... Hip Hop aint going nowhere... Theres a lot of good and bad stuff in it, but I mean, its always been like that, even in its finest hour... Hip Hop is going to live as long as there are true fans out there to support it and good rappers out there to keep it high.

  13. 50 Cent Fan Demands an Apology for Curtis Taking a cue from the 14-year old who sued 50 Cent for "promoting the gangsta lifestyle," Kevin Alloca and his attorney have prepared a lawsuit against 50 Cent for his Curtis LP. According to the lawsuit, "Mr. Allocca seeks remuneration for damages totaling $14.99 from Mr. Cent as well as an apology for making the album Curtis, which Mr. Allocca alleges is not good at all." He continues that the album's redundant content and the CD's poor aerodynamic quality render it useless "for both listening to and throwing." Even though Alloca's article was intended as a joke, I can't help but wonder if anyone else genuinely felt that way about Curtis. source: rap.about.com Theres a lot of people that are going to be suing then...
  14. just saw it, thx for bringing it
  15. Thats a sad story Lambert.... Its remind me of me, sometimes I dont like some of the songs people in here like, and I say I dissagree with them.. Sometimes I like some of the songs dissed in here and I just say I like them.. Thats not a reason to be called names. I know a few names myself... A forum is a place to discuss topics. Some people may like them, some people may not, and thats what makes this interesting and the variety of opinions is always a pro. This is not a "50 I HATE U" forum, and to tell u the truth as I said i just bought Curtis in retail 2 weeks ago.. I may not like some of the songs, some are kinda cool, thats life.. Be cool Lambert and dont worry about the world, because life is life and is beautiful...
