  1. I can't wait to see it, I love the first one.
  2. Two things that I like a lot about firefox is that you have tabbed browsing and you can do a find on the page just by typing (you don't have to press the find button and you don't have the annoying dialog in your way). The tabbed browsing means that you have multiple tabs that each have a web page in it, instead of having multiple internet explorer windows open.
  3. Ok, now it's working, but it's taking me to a page to install the google toolbar for firefox, not firefox itself.
  4. I get this error: "The requested URL was not found on this server." When redirected to: http://services.google.com/toolbar/firefox ... and a bunch of jive
  5. :word: Those have some great footage! :2thumbs:
  6. Interesting read, a lot of good points, though I have several problems with it. First, "They should ask why are whites so interested in vile rap." The article makes the point that black folks make music to entertain white folks. While it's true that many white folks listen to rap (and R&B), it doesn't follow that it is white folks who are perpetuating the current trends in hip-hop. If that where the case then the growth in white hip-hop fans would be directly correlated to the growth in gangster rap, however rappers from Run-DMC to JJ/FP and all between have predated gangster rap and had a large white following. Additionally, this imagery that's being sent out affects everyone, white folks included. As the article points out, white kids listen to a lot of rap, as such, they're exposed to this imagery. So white kids should, and do, grow up hearing the same sales pitch and are effected just as much. The inclusion of imagery of power, wealth, and sex is not limited hip-hop. Nor is it any great mystery as to why it sells so well. The sexual drive is a powerful drive and scantily clad individuals can evoke powerful emotions in people. This power of sex is no recent phenomenon, it goes back as far as people do. The concept of power and wealth (a modern form of power) is also an old concept and plays into equally basic needs and wants. Do you want to grow up not knowing if you can feed your own children, let alone feed yourself? Do you want to live in an area where violence is a daily experience for you? No, you want security. Cars and jewelry or nothing more than a way to display that you have security, a security that is appealing to everyone. The division between black and white (and ignoring other races) on this issue is a false division. All races have members that live in poverty, all races have members that come from broken homes, all races have members that are in prison. If you want to go about lowering the number of kids going through hardships, don't limit yourself to a single race, all children deserve a good upbringing. I have to limit my views to the US, since I can't speak to how it is in other countries, but if you want to get into the cause of poverty, black poverty in particular, you need to move beyond culture war. The US economy is set up to divide the haves and the have nots. The single biggest indicator of how financially successful you will be in life is how financially successful your parents are. If you come from a lower class family, you're highly likely to grow up to be lower class. If you come from an upper class family, you're highly likely to grow up to be upper class. The reason is that we live in a very capitalist based society. If your parents have money, they can, and will, pay for you to go to a better school. They can, and will, live in an area with less violence. They can, and will, provide you with "every opportunity." This is why the vast majority of the poor stay poor and the rich stay rich. If you doubt, ask yourself this, why do people opt to spend money on good schools and live in safe neighborhoods if they don't get benefit from it? This system makes it tougher for poor kids to grow up to be wealthy, which leads to the poor staying poor. This is a major reason why poverty is greater for black folks than for white folks. Only a few generations ago, the social injustices where so extreme that if you're black, you had no options for escaping poverty. Damn near all black folks where poor, extremely poor. Even after several generations, this historical poverty continues, since wealth begets wealth and poverty begets poverty. If you truly want this cycle to end, it's not a question of race, it's not a question of music, it's not a question of videos, it's a question safety. It's a question of education. The government needs to make sure that every street is safe, not just the ones in areas that can afford to spend more on police officers. The government needs to make sure that every school offers an outstanding education, not just the ones where the local folks donate large dollar amounts. Only when you offer everyone the same opportunities will you see equality.
  7. I'm sticken with my original statement, I think it's the best song he's done. :wiggle: It just needs a video!
  8. lol, yea, I realize that. Will Smith, the person, created both of those songs, and Tell Me Why is the best song he's created.
  9. Forget Summertime, this is the best song Will Smith has put out.
  10. I like the old version much more
  11. I'm pretty sure it's an american only holiday, not much cause to celebrate pilgrims and what-not in the UK. :)
  12. Man, I go away for one simple meeting and I miss all of this!
  13. One of the folks at work got an XBox 360 and brought it in today, it was kind of a let down. I checked out, I think, Call of Duty. It basically looked like a good PC game, nothing really ground breaking. Some good smoke, exploding bottles that have liquid shooting out, but over all it wasn't all that visually impressive. I also checked out the new Madden. Again, looks like a good PC game, but not that visually impressive. The hardware was kinda cool, the box looks good, the wireless controller's neat and feels good (much better than the original XBox controller), and the remote is interesting. The crazy part is that they're 400 new and are going for around 1500 on ebay! I'll be waiting before I pick one up, probably after a price drop, but I'm mostly just jonesen for the Revolution! :)
  14. Man, I haven't used a floppy drive in years... I don't think I even still own one! I want one system that I can use to play my mp3's on my home computer, work computer, in my ride, and in the mp3 player with out having to transfer files all the time. CF, thumb drive, storecard, whatever, just get a standard and make it big enough to house all of my music!
  15. umm Wes I don't think you are in on the joke.. All that stuff in the "first jjfp guild post" is just joking... After a day of two of TDH completely annihalating joes chosen ones schnazz was saying how it was getting pretty boring having no competition, and we'd get pretty sick of the game at this rate.. So me max and chief started the vigilantes to make things a little more interesting.. No one is seriously annoyed or mad at each other its all just a bit of fun and games, I'm sure Schnazz is laughing just as much as I am at the stuff we are saying to each other... This whole thing was all our idea..just a bit of role playing :lolsign: :lolsign: :word: It's all a part of the game. :)
  16. Schnazz is actually dead right now. :wiggle: Well we are still in the lead by 10000000-1 or somethin. How did you come up with those numbers? By a very scientific process, I'm sure. Though my numbers had us more like 9999997-1, but Lerkot's probably a better mathmatician than I am! :lolsign:
  17. True, true... I coulda swore the regen time was an hour and 20 minutes
  18. Are you going to post the new version when it's ready?
  19. Those numbers would be at least 10 minutes between attacks, if not more, since Expired can stay in the profile for a bit. But yea, I was attacking you a lot today... probably four times or so.
