Cool to hear, i havent caught much music TV lately, I was partying hard in Liverpool (Was only a house party in the end Julie)
Too Many Everton fans though :P
I started by doing a friends party, just 2 Cd Walkmans hooked upto a Mixer and a Band PA System. So nothing fancy whatsoever. You can pick up some basic DJ Mixing Decks (CD or Vinyl) for under £150 ($200) these days to get you started.
Then you get your name out quite easily. I got my break last summer when i got a weekly Friday night slot at my local pub/bar. I'd been doing it in my psare time from uni for about 2 years before that. I've done a few bigger nights at clubs aswell. Im no mix master i just try to play the right tunes at the right time.
Just get abit of practice in then let your friends know that whenever they are having a party you'll DJ for them on the cheap. The just prove yourself
No real crazy jobs yet, but some rubbish ones. Sugar factory, and postman have been pretty shoddy. You wouldnt think being a postman would be that bad but its hell.
Maybe but only Boom was succesful, nothing els dented the top 20.
Boom realistically is seen as a novelty song by alot of people which is a shame, goes down with Ice Ice Baby, U Can't Touch This, and Jump Around as floor fillers but that being it.
I thnink they'll be little change by the end of this decade. Maybe a few new big artists but none that will be that good. The rulers may still be 50, Kanye etc which is shame.
So tommorow i head back upto Derby to do my last year of my degree, and if its anything as quick as the last year then it'll be over in no time. Scary stuff.
Just wanna say all the best to anyone whose going to or going back to Uni this year.
I'll still be around the forum, just not quite as often.
Kev
Hey nite, keep up the good work.
If you could try a summertime remix that would be ace, Then again if i recall there was never an acapella made from it
Hmm, well i dont have time to upload right now. but i'll name the track.
The 3rd single off his debut album. TQ - Better Days. Was a brillaint track but just didn't get enough promotion back in 99.
Word of warning Julie, Clubs can be really dodgy about letting you in with recording equipment. I've had to get permission from Club owners and such like in the past about taking in my camcorder to a night club.
Ah, If only it was the following weekend. Im up in Liverpool then
I've already said im waiting for the night Jeff performs at my back garden BBQ party.
Musically they aren't great, But they are funny, ans so are their vids.
They have nothing in common with Will musically wath so ever so a diss like that shudnt be taken seriously
Thats if your friend isn't just trying to get at you Lerkot.
Live concerts always tends to bring the best out of music, Its anatmosphere thing, so dont be afriad to nod your head to some 50 tunes if ya go. I wudnt be ashamed to, not if im excited waiting for Will. Dre beats anyway :gettinjiggywitit:
Thats fair enough Lerkot, i respect your idea.
Holland have always been a strong nation, i think they've had a few bad years of late but will come good in this coming world cup.
I enjoy watching England, and love my country so in that sense i can't lose. Until we play Northern Ireland anyway :lolsign:
