  1. Thats cool, i managed to get my msg in that thread before you said you were gonna print it out and send it off. Thanks cookies, your a real star.
  2. Everyone gets compared to someone else in their career. Its only cos he's a young black clean cut comedy/rap dude that he's being compared anyway. Its just the ways articles are written.
  3. Proper DJ :haha: I guess i could call myself that as i have done some decent sized events. But im no mix master, i just try and play decent tunes and keep the crowd happy without any real mixing skills. I've got to hook up my PC Speakers again so will give them a listen soon. I wont be expecting much, its just cool to hear what people have been doing with it and having fun trying to make remixes. I really suck at them myself.
  4. Jokes are always good for a radio show. Not too rude tho :lolsign: Top 5 phrases of the week Top 5 songs of the week etc etc all the groups top 5 stuffs
  5. I'd be up for getting involved. I've done plenty of pub/club DJ-ing and done college radio shows before so i guess my experience gives something to offer. DJ KevTastic back again :jazzy:
  6. Wild Wild West, was a decent pop song, got me moving and still does. Sure its kinda corny but sometimes corn is cool, and back in 99 this was cool
  7. Wow, good job Cookies. You put in a lot of effort in that pic and even more effort getting it to Jeff, its cool he'll read our msgs to.
  8. This single defies all the laws of the UK chart system :lolsign: You gotta love it
  9. Its such a great hip hop tune. Great musiically, Great Lyrics, and catchy hook Shud've been a hit if released on a major label
  10. Being on a major compo album like Now can only be good for album sales. only 19. I guess the UK invented the Now Thats What I Call Music shabang, as we are on Now60 and its been going for over 20 years.
  11. I remember this one, still good to get it again tho as i lost a lot of mp3's when rebooting my busted ass PC once
  12. Wow, you guys have been busy, i'll get with the downloading soon. Sounds like they all have their moments.
  13. once thru, and occasional random tracks. so i went with 2.
  14. Im not fussy aslong as i get tickets for one. There are plenty of middle of the road venues that hold around the 2-3000 mark that would be greta for JJFP to play. They are all standing and great for getting close enough to the stage wherever you are in the building.
  15. Glad you had such a great time, come Autumn hopefully we'll be getting a bunch of these posts from everyone who goes to see them live. I could feel your passion just by reading that Jim :2thumbs:
  16. I got my copy today. Im so close to being on it, i used frame advance but im like one person away  Oh well, the memories are there, and so's that mpeg file :haha:
  17. cheers Julie, very scary moment at one point, cos you just didn't know what to expect and wondering around a city your unfamiliar with didnt help.
  18. Nirvana were cool, but yeh they were over-rated. There are too many people that say they are the most importnat band in modern day rock. Dave Grohl has moved onto a much better band in my opinion in The Foo Fighters
  19. I was im Birmingham last night when it all kicked off. I was at a gig in the city centre and when it finished at 9:00pm an announcement was made about a serious bomb threat and no traffic was allowed in our out of the city. We were stuck there for the night, luckily the weather was mlld but it was scary being evacuated and being told by a police tannoy system to move along fast ans a serious threat is close by. Very scary moment in my life. At around 2:30am we got a bus ride to some accomodation for the duration of the evening. I just wanna thank all the people who helped run the centre for the homeless people that night as they did it off their own backs. Glad to be home. My Prayers go out to the families and friends of all those lost in the London Bombings this week.
  20. Beats To The Rhyme, dod you think this'll be a remake of the Run DMC classic. I think this could be a thumping modern day anthem. I'll definately be getting this, as a Rock & Rap fan it'll be up my street. Owning all the Run DMC albums tho does tip the ice-berg tho :lolsign:
  21. Im so glad we got the olympics, i'll be definately up for heading down when im 28 to watch the Athletics and football. We have done well with putting on major events in recent times. Euro 96 and The CommonWealth games 2003 went really well. We need a World Cup for football here now :2thumbs:
  22. Cheers guys, Holiday was great. The aftermath not so great. Im sure there's a post on this but i just havent gotten to it yet. Im talking about the London Bombings. We had just left Nequay and we heard on the radio what was happening. It was incredibly worrying. I hope everyone is OK. Yesterday i was in Birmingham to see Funeral For A Friend Play at the Carling Academy. It was a great gig, after they finished an announcement was made about a serious bomb threat in the city cnetre had occured. We all had to evacuate the City centre ASAP leaving our car in the parking lot and us with nowhere to go. We had to sit around til 2:30am on the streets til a bus took us to a hostel for the night. Had the least comfortable night sleep eva. It was quite a scary experience as we had Police helicopters flying over and a police car with a speaker system shouting for us to hurry up and move (In a slightly more polite way) Pretty scray at the time. Anyway to look on a brighter note im home now from an interesting week and i'll have some pics from my hols tommorow up for you. Kev
