No, i think the song hit right on time. Teddy Riley dosen't make trax like that anymore. The production is just a good mix of Hip-Hop and R-N-B with that New Jack Swing feel TR is famous 4. FP's lyrics are definitly 1993. He takes on all those phoney gangsta rappers by keeping the JJ+FP sound new and fresh 4 the "nine-trey" and even calls them out.
I understand what your saying. But i just think the song could have done easily aswell a few years later and still sound Fresh. My main point was about the video being original and ahead of its time anyway
I usually listen to a whole album straight through. Although new JJFP tracks would be tempting to listen to straight away. Its a hard descision to make.
Probably, Born To Reign. Just cos Willenium was so good, and there was over a two year wait for it. And In This Corner, has grown on me over the 5 plus years I've had it, but at the time was my least fave JJFP album.
I think maybe the song is ahead of its time. Back when i was at 6form college in 2001 me and my friend studied the video for that song and did a report on it. Our Video Tutor was shocked it was from 1994 and thought the vid was ahead of its time.
I remember checking out your site a long time ago back in like 1997 or something. Our school ws quite qucik about getting interent access too all our computers. This was the site to go for Will Smith stuff, and still obviously is.
Good stuff Tim
I guess i want to be an all round better person, and that'll start with me being less lazy with some of my uni work.
I also intend to this year to let the girl of my dreams know how i feel about her. Its hard because we are friends and im only going to see here one more time (Next Friday) until Easter when we are both back from University again. She's an incredible person Love is in the air
I have that single Jim, but the Big Willie Style Snippets track doesn't really sound any different to me Gettin Jiggy Wit It Wise. PLus the tracks wernt even mixed, its just lazily put together. Bit of a waste of a track really. The M.I.B mix on there is quite interesting though
The only time i heard the It Takes Two sample was on the JJFP Back In Black live thing thats on this site.
Okay my Thread seems to have become the New Years Thread of the forum.
Keep the Partay Alive, i only 4 hours until my partay starts.
:dj: KevTastic on the wheels of steel
Maybe your mixed up cos they said six weeks for release back in July. So maybe if that show is new we really will only be waiting 6 weeks. Lets hope so.
:switch: Partay at mine tommorow night for anybody who wants to come.
Honestly, tho, hope you all have fun tommorow night. Tim will be celebrating 2005 before a lot of us will.
