this is the first song i've ever written. i've never felt like writin' anything cuz there's nothin that was burnin at me that i thought i wanted 2 write about. then all of a sudden i had a feelin that i had 2 write about this experience that happened 2 me. i'm thinkin of recordin it and submitting it 2 the JJFP community album. please give me some feedback cuz i wanna make it better if possible and i don't feel real confident in it right now. thanx :thumb: VERSE 1 I'm a tell y'all about a part of me That sometimes I wish others would just not see See, when you grow up lots of things change And well, I guess my mind just got duranged I started thinkin about nasty things And I even went on sites that werent clean I was warned, but I kept at every day My refusal, in the end, the price I did pay Man, that stuff is just like an addiction It's like food that just won't leave your kitchen I guess I needed some time off to get things straight But pretty soon I was thinkin' "how many years? like eight?" i'm not sure about the whole "2Pac wouldn't be on top" thing. i dont know since i was too young in '96, but im pretty sure gettin the new 2Pac album was like the thing 2 do back in '96 and while he wouldn't be on top of the list with rappers like Jay-Z, 50, Eminem, Kanye West and other rappers emerging, he'd still be on most peoples top 5

2Pac is NOT overrated. look at the sh!t he was sayin back in 89 and 90, it still holds true 2day. look at his new albums that were recorded back in 95 and 96, they still ring true 2day and they still sound new. i'm convinced 2Pac was ahead of his time, the man was pure genious. and yes, he would still be making consistant could music today becuase there have been many current events that he would've rapped about. besides, it's not a longevity contest either. the main point is the man made an impact, and even if his records weren't as consistant as WS, he would still be making an impact in todays society. by the way, it wasn't commenting really on AJ's post even tho i quoted it. sorry 4 that

Yeah Riiiight.....Outkast and 2Pav are better than LL :cwm: 2Pac certainly is in my opinion! perhaps even one of the greatest that has lived. u could make a good argument that he deserved the #1 spot

wow i'm acutally surprised. while there are some artists there that are out of place, and RunDMC doesnt belong at #1, JJFP gettin the 30 spot out of 100 is better than usual. however, Will doesnt belong at 76 right next 2 Ludacris :nono:

thanx, i don't often have time 2 rhyme and when i do, it always seems like it takes me 4ever 2 come up with rhymes and then when i read them back, they never sound good. maybe i'll start contributin a lil more 2 this board in the future tho

here's my top 10 from the very limited selection of rap that i listen 2: acutally let's ignore this list. i clearly wasnt thinkin when i made it and i left a lot of my favorites out LOL. maybe i'll make another one sometime soon

yeah i gotta say i totally agree with MaxFly, Jim, and Frenetic. i know it's kinda hard when u live in different places, but when i say that i want a new single, i'm referrin 2 the US. Switch has been steadily droppin, and just like others have said, more spins isn't necessarily movin it's spot up or increasin album sales. i know that Switch might still be doin good in other countries, but in the US Switch is pretty much done what it can do. Will needs 2 hit em with Tell Me Why in the US! i can guarantee that Switch WILL NOT move up next week in the billboard charts regardless of the spins. any hype that there was of Switch is totally gone now. nuff said!

wow that's pretty impressive. i see a trend here! 3 weeks ago: 47,000 approx 2 weeks ago: 46,000 approx 1 week ago: 31,000 this week: 30,000 as u can see, there was a 1% drop in both cases, then it made a BIG drop after that. if this trend indicates how next week is gonna look, then i think he'd better release a single soon cuz i don't want 2 see his numbers fall too much past 25,000 a week!

2Pac - Better Dayz

no it's not, i decided 2 redesign it cuz it's WAAAY out of date and there was way too many ads. i have my new site 99% finished, just lookin 4 a place 2 host it. the place i have it on right now only gives me 50 megs and i'm usin like 49.9 megs right now so i'll eventually have 2 move it.

the only problem that i have is there are too many different types of units, even tho the conversions are easier. like 4 the US it's pretty much feet -> inches and that's it. but the metric is like milimeter -> centimeter -> decimeter -> meter -> kilometer or whatever i dunno the order but there's 2 many units 2 remember.

sorry, i just don't remember a post where he actually contributed something other than "haha LOL" or "werd" or "yeah". i'll do a search and hopefully wrong, but i don't think i am.
