Family Matters, The Jamie Foxx Show and Martin join the network.
BET is bringing back the '90s!
The network announced on Wednesday that it has acquired the rights to air classic sitcoms Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Family Matters, The Jamie Foxx Show, Martin and The Wayans Brothers. "We're thrilled to be bringing our audience more of the classic hits and award-winning stars they love," says BET Networks chairman and CEO Debra Lee.
BET has been on a roll with original programming, shattering ratings records with The Game, Second Generation Wayans and Real Husbands of Hollywood. The network has also seen huge success with syndication of The Wendy Williams Show, which airs weeknights at midnight.
The classic '90s sitcoms launched the careers of some of the biggest Black stars in Hollywood, including Will Smith, Martin Lawrence, Keenan Ivory Wayans, Jamie Foxx and others. The return of these nostalgia-inducing series will surely have fans doing the Carlton Dance!
Air dates and times have not yet been announced, but keep it locked on BET for more info.
