Men In Black - Rep Explains Men In Black 3 Delay Rep Explains Men In Black 3 Delay A studio representative has dismissed rumours the new MEN IN BLACK movie has been put on hold after its star WILL SMITH fell out with producers over the script. The Hollywood actor is reprising his role as Agent J to fight aliens in the third installment of the hit franchise and he will reportedly be joined by his former co-star Tommy Lee Jones and new addition to the cast, Josh Brolin. Filming was due to begin in New York this month (Oct10), but was pushed back until late November (10) - sparking rumours of a rift between Smith, director Barry Sonnenfeld and the picture's producers. Reports suggested the actor was unhappy with the script and the shoot had been delayed following a series of arguments. But a rep for Sony Pictures is adamant stories of an on-set dispute are not true and blames the delay on changes to New York's film incentive scheme, which aims to bring moviemakers to the state. The spokesperson tells New York Post gossip column Page Six, "The only reason production will begin in mid-November as opposed to late October is to take advantage of recent changes affecting New York State film incentives. Suggesting that a disagreement triggered the shift is complete fiction." http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/rep-explains-men-in-black-3-delay_1172265

Last night, Simpsons fans were treated to a controversial and bleak extended intro, the brainchild of enigmatic U.K. graffiti artist Banksy. The usual opening credits, which were occasionally graffito-tagged with Banksy's name, were followed by an extended sequence featuring Asian workers laboring over production of The Simpsons' animation and merchandise. We applaud the guts of the show's producers, but what was the point of shining the animated Emmy winner (and its network) in such a negative light? WARNING: The below clip features children in toxic working conditions, kittens being killed to stuff Bart Simpson dolls, and a malnourished unicorn whose horn is used to punch the center of DVDs. Will Smith’s Ex Sheree Fletcher: Jada Pinkett and I Are Friendly—Though We Don’t Do Lunch Being the former wife of the biggest movie star on the planet can’t be easy. But Sheree Fletcher—who was married to Will Smith from 1992 to 1995—handles it with wisdom, sensitivity and aplomb. "There has to be forgiveness, there has to be compromise," Sheree (above) tells us of parenting with Will. "And it's been a blessing because we've been able to do that." Interviewed on Marketing Ministry, Sheree chats about her relationship with Will’s second wife, Jada Pinkett-Smith, whom he wed in 1997, and about the blended family’s three children: Trey, Sheree and Will’s son, who turns 18 next month; Jaden, 12, Jada and Will’s son; and Willow, Jada and Will’s daughter, who turns 10 this month. “Our kids don’t refer to each other—and when I say three kids I’m talking about Willow and Jaden—they don’t refer to each other as half brother and half sister,” Sheree—who, with second hubby Terrell Fletcher, pastors the City of Hope International Church in San Diego, Calif.—tells host Wanda Adams. “That concept is so foreign to them. They are brothers and sister. Period. “And one of the things I never did—I know sometimes we have a tendency to use our kids as pawns—and if I’m mad at you then you’re not going to see [your father]. That’s so foolish, because you’re taking it out on your child.” Sheree goes on to explain how she and Jada keep things in check. “I’ve had people ask me, ‘Are you and Jada friends?’ Jada and I are friendly, absolutely,” she says. “And see, too, it depends on your understanding of the word friend. Jada and I don’t do things separately [from the kids]—like, ‘Girl, what you doing today? Let’s get lunch.’ Or ‘Let’s go see a movie.’ “We don’t cross that line. Because, see, now what happens is if we have an issue in our friendship, it affects everything. Now it affects the kids. “We have to really preserve what we have and guard it. You’ve gotta have boundaries.” Sheree also touches on how Terrell, a former running back for the San Diego Chargers, deals with her incessantly being referred to as Will’s ex. “It is what it is. It kind of comes with the territory, unfortunately. And that’s part of the baggage that I come with,” she says. “It took Terrell five years to propose, and that very thing is probably what dragged it out so long. “But, obviously, it’s not an easy thing. I’m his current wife and to always be referred to as someone else’s ex-wife, that can’t be easy. “But you know, he’s such an amazing man. And who else would really put up with and walk into this situation? It’s not really an easy thing to do. But it takes a secure man, it takes somebody who knows who they are.” Source: http://blog.blogtalkradio.com/celebrities/smiths-sheree-fletcher-jada-pinkett-friendlythough-lunch/ Click here to hear Sheree Fletcher’s full interview! http://www.blogtalkradio.com/marketingministry/2010/10/09/the-soul-seekers-its-all-god-on-the-mmrs

Emma Thompson joins the 'Men in Black' team Emma Thompson is in negotiations to join Will Smith in “Men In Black III.” Barry Sonnenfeld is directing the project, which reunites Smith’s Agent Jay with Tommy Lee Jones’ Agent Kay. Most of the action, however, takes place in the 1969 with Josh Brolin playing a young Jones. Jemaine Clement is playing the villain in the script, which is being kept under wraps. Thompson will play take-charge MIB operative Agent Oh, who is monitoring a prison breakout. Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald are producing. David Koepp wrote the most recent draft. “MIB3” begins shooting later this month in New York. Thompson, repped by WME, is coming off a starring turn in Working Title’s “Nanny McPhee Returns.” - Borys Kit http://heatvision.hollywoodreporter.com/2010/09/emma-thompson-joins-the-men-in-black-team.html

EXCLUSIVE: Will Smith and James Lassiter's Overbrook Entertainment and The Proposal writer Pete Chiarelli are behind a series adaptation of the hit 2005 romantic comedy Hitch, which has several networks bidding on it. Chiarelli will pen the series project, described as an action-packed one-hour, for Sony Pictures TV. The movie, which Overbrook co-produced with Sony's Columbia Pictures, starred Smith as a date doctor. This marks the TV debut for Chiarelli who also is penning Most Wanted, an upcoming action comedy, which reunites him with The Proposal stars Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds and director Anne Fletcher. Overbrook and Sony TV first took a stab at adapting Hitch to series 3 seasons ago when it was developed as a half-hour single-camera comedy written by Ben Wexler that was set up at CBS but didn't go to pilot. http://www.deadline.com/2010/09/hot-property-overbrook-proposal-writer-shopping-hitch-series-adaptation/

Gloria Stuart, a glamorous blond actress in the 1930s who came back to Hollywood in her 80s to play the older Kate Winslet character in the blockbuster flick "Titanic," died yesterday in Los Angeles. She was 100 this July 4th. Stuart received an Academy Award nomination for the 1997 role and became oldest Oscar nominee in history. Director James Cameron said he was looking for an actress whose heyday had been Hollywood's golden era, and Stuart fit the bill. She later joked that at 87 she was one of few actresses her age who was "still viable, not alcoholic, rheumatic or falling down." Stuart appeared in more than 40 films in the 1930s, including "The Invisible Man," "Gold Diggers of 1935," "The Prisoner of Shark Island," and "Poor Little Rich Girl." But her best success came more than half a century later with "Titanic." In her 1999 memoir, "I Just Kept Hoping", Stuart said of her late blooming career, "When I graduated from Santa Monica High in 1927, I was voted the girl most likely to succeed. I didn't realize it would take so long." http://www.worstpreviews.com/headline.php?id=19110&count=0 ----- RIP Gloria!
