  1. I'm glad quantity doesn't mean quality.
  2. 'Men In Black III' Script 'Looks Really Good,' Josh Brolin Says 'I can do some actual acting work within this franchise that everybody knows,' he tells MTV News. Will Smith probably has to hook up a pair of 3-D-enhanced, Neuralyzer-blocking sunglasses, 'cause he's headed back to the big screen as Agent Jay for "Men in Black III" ... in 3-D. Shortly before Columbia Pictures' announcement about the film's May 2012 release on Friday (May 7), MTV News spoke with Smith's new co-star, Josh Brolin, about the upcoming flick. Though he hasn't yet inked a deal to play a younger version of Tommy Lee Jones' Agent Kay, Brolin spoke effusively about "MIBIII" and exactly how he decided the role was right for him "It looks really, really good," he told us. "I can't tell you the story, obviously, but they pitched me the general story, and I was like, 'Eh, I don't know if that's really my thing, man.' I was extremely grateful that they were even interested in me. But then they got more specific with the story, and I go, 'Yes, that's f---ing great!' This is a character where I feel like I can do some actual acting work within this franchise that everybody knows." Neither Brolin nor Jones have deals in place, but Smith has already signed on to reprise his role. Barry Sonnenfeld, who directed the first two installments of the franchise, will return to the director's chair for "MIBIII." The film is set to hit theaters May 25, 2012. We had lots of questions for Brolin earlier this month, but his lips were sealed on almost everything. "I can't confirm or deny anything," he laughed. "Nothing! Bummer for you!" He did say that he expects to begin shooting in New York City in the fall. But he hasn't yet seen Etan Cohen's ("Tropic Thunder") draft of the script. "I read something early, early, early, but it's very different than what is being written right now," Brolin said. What he did read was enough to get him excited. In fact, he recently found himself returning to the 1997 original. "I just watched the first one again a few nights ago and loved it," he said. "Loved it!" http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1638721/20100507/story.jhtml
  3. Will Smith confirmed for 'Men in Black III' Sony to release 3D sequel on May 25, 2012 Will Smith looks to don a pair of black shades again, but this time of the 3D variety. Sony announced "Men in Black III" will get the 3D treatment set for release May 25, 2012. The "Black" installment will reteam Smith and director Barry Sonnenfeld. Smith has been rumored to topline one of two projects as his next vehicle: "Black" or 20th Century Fox's "The City that Sailed." Walter F. Parkes and Laurie MacDonald will produce the series' third offering, which is penned by Ethan Cohen, based on the comic book by Lowell Cunningham. Steven Spielberg will exec produce. "Sony's summer of 2012 will get off to a red-hot start with an incredible new 3D adventure for the Men in Black," said Jeff Blake, Sony's chairman of worldwide marketing and distribution. "We couldn't be more excited that the original filmmaking team responsible for the first two worldwide hits is reuniting for this third installment." The "Men in Black" franchise has grossed worldwide north of $1 billion collectively. Production for the third installment is set begin this fall, with Tommy Lee Jones in advanced negotiations to reprise his role as Agent Kay. Josh Brolin also is in talks to star as a young Agent Kay. http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118018932.html?categoryid=13&cs=1

  11. LA Times caught up with "Iron Man 2" director Jon Favreau to talk about some cameos that fans can expect to see in the movie. He said that Stan Lee appears in a scene, and so does Bill O'Reilly. But the most important cameo for Favreau is one by the late Adam Goldstein, aka DJ AM, who died of an accidental drug overdose just weeks after shooting his part. "We tried to make it respectful, and for people who know him, they'll get a kick out of it and for people who don't, it will sort of slide by without much notice," said Favreau. Check out a shot of Goldstein from the movie. In the scene, a boozed-up Tony Stark is celebrating his birthday with a wild party at his Malibu oceanfront estate and there, behind the turntables, is Goldstein. Stark, in his superhero armor, is shown dancing to 2Pac's hip-hop classic "California Love" as Goldstein tends to the vinyl. Then, as the party tilts into a nasty direction, the hero makes a request: "Adam, I need a phat beat." The film is actually dedicated to Goldstein. His name and his trademark lightning-bolt symbol will appear in the end credits. http://www.worstpreviews.com/headline.php?id=17498&count=0

  13. Will Smith Is Happy to Let Everyone Else Have the Spotlight Will Smith was decked out in Nike to pace around the LA set of HawthoRNe yesterday afternoon while Jada Pinkett-Smith worked in front of the cameras. Will made a brief cameo on an episode during the show's first season, and this week the cast welcomed another celebrity guest star, Marc Anthony. He is reportedly making a special appearance on the series, which marks his return to acting after starring with Jennifer Lopez in El Cantante, and the two brought twins Max and Emme along for the shoot. The Smiths are gearing up for another member of their family's big projects — Jaden is taking his turn as a leading man in the remake of The Karate Kid coming out this Summer. http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/3803/7567d08d454107f4422will.jpg More pics here! http://www.popsugar.com/Pictures-Smith-LA-Set-HawthoRNe-Which-Reportedly-Have-Cameo-From-Marc-Anthony-8205402?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+popsugar+%28PopSugar%29
  14. Martin Lawrence Says 'Bad Boys 3' Talk Is 'Really Real' 'I got Big Willie to come down and see me about the movie,' Lawrence tells MTV News about co-star Will Smith. n 1995, "Bad Boys" made Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and director Michael Bay household names. Eight years later, the men returned triumphant for "Bad Boys II," an explosive sequel that felt like a coronation of three Hollywood superstars. Now, after another seven years, Lawrence said the "Boys" are back in town — and that talk of another sequel is very real. "It's real realistic," the comedian revealed to MTV News recently, addressing rumors that he'll re-team with Bay and the former Fresh Prince once again. "We've talked about 'Bad Boys 3.' " When he made the original film, Bay was a video director looking to break through in Hollywood; now, he oversees massive productions of films like the "Transformers" movies. Back in 1995, Will Smith was slowly overcoming his teen-oriented-rapper stigma as the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" TV show was winding down and small movies like "Six Degrees of Separation" were earning him decent reviews; nowadays, he is arguably the most bankable movie star in the world. Some would wonder why outlandish-but-effective detectives Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett would pop up again now, when the "Bad Boys" talents each have successful careers of their own (Lawrence just opened "Death at a Funeral" this past weekend). According to Martin, however, the time to reunite is now. "Any time you can get Big Willie to come out and talk about doing a third installment of a hot movie like 'Bad Boys,' you have to take notice," Lawrence explained. "I met with Michael Bay, and he said he's onboard too — so it's real." Writer Peter Craig is putting together a script for Columbia, and the "Bad Boys" team is ready. "I got Big Willie to come down and see me about the movie. I felt special," Lawrence said of a visit Smith paid to his friend recently to talk about getting the band back together, adding that at this point, the green light is in the hands of the franchise producer. "We're just waiting on Jerry Bruckheimer to let us know when it's really real." Watch Video! http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1637489/story.jhtml
