  2. Will Smith Is Happy to Let Everyone Else Have the Spotlight Will Smith was decked out in Nike to pace around the LA set of HawthoRNe yesterday afternoon while Jada Pinkett-Smith worked in front of the cameras. Will made a brief cameo on an episode during the show's first season, and this week the cast welcomed another celebrity guest star, Marc Anthony. He is reportedly making a special appearance on the series, which marks his return to acting after starring with Jennifer Lopez in El Cantante, and the two brought twins Max and Emme along for the shoot. The Smiths are gearing up for another member of their family's big projects — Jaden is taking his turn as a leading man in the remake of The Karate Kid coming out this Summer. http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/3803/7567d08d454107f4422will.jpg More pics here! http://www.popsugar.com/Pictures-Smith-LA-Set-HawthoRNe-Which-Reportedly-Have-Cameo-From-Marc-Anthony-8205402?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+popsugar+%28PopSugar%29
  3. Martin Lawrence Says 'Bad Boys 3' Talk Is 'Really Real' 'I got Big Willie to come down and see me about the movie,' Lawrence tells MTV News about co-star Will Smith. n 1995, "Bad Boys" made Will Smith, Martin Lawrence and director Michael Bay household names. Eight years later, the men returned triumphant for "Bad Boys II," an explosive sequel that felt like a coronation of three Hollywood superstars. Now, after another seven years, Lawrence said the "Boys" are back in town — and that talk of another sequel is very real. "It's real realistic," the comedian revealed to MTV News recently, addressing rumors that he'll re-team with Bay and the former Fresh Prince once again. "We've talked about 'Bad Boys 3.' " When he made the original film, Bay was a video director looking to break through in Hollywood; now, he oversees massive productions of films like the "Transformers" movies. Back in 1995, Will Smith was slowly overcoming his teen-oriented-rapper stigma as the "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" TV show was winding down and small movies like "Six Degrees of Separation" were earning him decent reviews; nowadays, he is arguably the most bankable movie star in the world. Some would wonder why outlandish-but-effective detectives Mike Lowery and Marcus Burnett would pop up again now, when the "Bad Boys" talents each have successful careers of their own (Lawrence just opened "Death at a Funeral" this past weekend). According to Martin, however, the time to reunite is now. "Any time you can get Big Willie to come out and talk about doing a third installment of a hot movie like 'Bad Boys,' you have to take notice," Lawrence explained. "I met with Michael Bay, and he said he's onboard too — so it's real." Writer Peter Craig is putting together a script for Columbia, and the "Bad Boys" team is ready. "I got Big Willie to come down and see me about the movie. I felt special," Lawrence said of a visit Smith paid to his friend recently to talk about getting the band back together, adding that at this point, the green light is in the hands of the franchise producer. "We're just waiting on Jerry Bruckheimer to let us know when it's really real." Watch Video! http://www.mtv.com/movies/news/articles/1637489/story.jhtml

  8. Exclusive: Debi Mazar to Guest-Star on HawthoRNe Debi Mazar will guest-star in the Season 2 premiere of TNT's HawthoRNe, TVGuide.com has learned exclusively. Mazar, an Entourage cast member and former Dancing with the Stars contestant, will play Donna Alberghetti, an old friend of chief nurse Christina Hawthorne (Jada Pinkett Smith). Mazar's character turns up at the hospital with an unidentified illness a few days before her wedding. The nature of the illness and the treatment raise some serious questions for Alberghetti's fiancé. Mazar, 45, is best known for tough-talking roles in films such as Goodfellas. She has a recurring role on Entourage as brassy publicist Shauna Roberts. Besides guest-starring roles on Ugly Betty and Castle, Mazar also competed in the ninth season of Dancing with the Stars. 12. WILL SMITH has turned down the lead role in moviemaker CAMERON CROWE's new MARVIN GAYE biopic. The actor spent months in negotiations to portray the legendary soul man, and now Crowe, who has been trying to get the project off the ground for four years, is without a leading man again. But the Almost Famous director isn't rushing to find his Gaye - he's determined to hire the right man for the role. Crowe tells Daily Variety, "It’s all about getting the contact high in a movie theatre that you can get from music. A record can change your life. Somebody poured their life into that little piece of music. To me that’s a hero." http://www.contactmusic.com/news.nsf/story/you-heard-it-on-the-grapevine---smith-says-no-to-crowes-gaye-biopic_1137789

  14. 'Karate Kid' Remake Has A New 'Twist,' Jackie Chan And Jaden Smith Say Chan says the new movie pays tribute to the 1984 original but is 'different.' For those "Karate Kid" fans still skeptical about this summer's remake, Jackie Chan and Jaden Smith would like to offer their assurance that the movie is something fresh worth giving a shot. MTV News caught up with the stars on the orange carpet of the Kids' Choice Awards to talk about how their redo compares to the popular 1984 original, which starred Pat Morita and Ralph Macchio in the respective lead roles. "They should see this because it's a great movie," said Smith, the charismatic 11-year-old son of rapper-turned-actor Will Smith, who also co-produced the remake. "We have our own little twist to the movie, the fact that we're in China. But it's just a great, great movie." What the young actor appears to be saying is, let's forget that this is a reboot of the martial-arts franchise that previously spawned three sequels, including "The Next Karate Kid," which was a sort of restart itself, and approach the movie instead as a stand-alone story about a young boy relocated to China where he learns the art of kung fu from an unlikely mentor. Chan, who plays that mentor, thinks both time and plot changes factor into the remake's separation from its source. "I think it's different from the first one," he said. "You will see the difference. Of course, today's technology and filming — things are always better than 30 years ago. But ['The Karate Kid'] is a traditional classic. We just pay it tribute. I think everybody will like it." And if everybody likes it, you can bet there will be another couple sequels, at least a few of which could star a more pumped-up and physically skilled Smith. "Before the movie, he'd been training for three months," Chan says about his co-star's preparation. "Now, he's still training every day. I just see him getting better and better, his muscles bigger and bigger. Pretty soon, three more years, he'll become a master." 15. I don't see it happening to be honest. 'Independence Day' is the kind of movie that doesn't need a sequel. Will doesn't need it either, and Emmerich would only prove that he's obsessed with the end of the world one more time. 2 more films? Come on. It's ridiculous.
