Ahhh, loved them. So 80's! I'd have to add 'MacGyver' too. Patty and Selma would never forgive me if I didn't. Other sitcoms I loved were 'Growing Pains', 'Family Matters' (Steve Urkel = Legend!) and, of course, 'Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air'. And I can't forget 'Captain Tsubasa': Best Soccer Animated TV Show Ever.

That's why I said current TV shows, If I had to choose shows that aren't running anymore then I'd definitely have to pick 'Friends' without any doubt!

Simple question. Just name your favorite TV show/s to see people's taste. PLAY! I'll start. My favorite TV shows in this moment are 'House MD'`& 'Dexter'

Posted here: And yeah, it's a shame IMO. Could have been a great movie.

EXCLUSIVE: 'Independence Day' Sequel To Be Two Movies, Possibly Called 'ID4-Ever' More than thirteen years, Bill Pullman gave a goose-bump-inducing Fourth of July speech about freedom, willpower and how a few ugly aliens needed a good beatdown and honestly I'm still pumped up. On the strength of that patriotic presidential speech alone, "Independence Day" deserves a sequel, and talk about one has cropped up here and there since the film's blockbuster release in '96. Could it actually happen? And what would it look like all these years later? Director Roland Emmerich gave MTV News a couple clues. "What we want to do in the next it's actually two movies we want to do a bigger arc," he explained. "'Independence Day' was always like the king who leads his troops into battle against an evil force, and that stays like that." So the plan is not just one sequel but two. And Emmerich has got a nifty title in mind: "'ID4-ever,' Part I and II maybe?" he suggested. Mind you, there's not yet a script "There's an idea," he said but he did say that when they move forward Will Smith will most certainly be involved. "The idea is just to continue the story and actually I don't know how many years ago this wastwelve, thirteen, fourteen years agoand just continue where it ended." Where it ended was with Pullman and Smith's victory over the invading aliens. Presumably, over a decade later, the White House would have been rebuilt and civilization returned to some semblance of normalcy. What's Smith's military man been up to? Do the same alien baddies return, or do we get new ones? And, unless term limits have been abolished in this world, Pullman's US prez will no longer be in office how might he fit into the story, if at all? Emmerich didn't want to spill any plot details, but he promised that "one day we will do it and that the story will stay firmly on the planet. "It's always about earth and that earth gets invaded," he said. http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2009/11/12/exclusive-independence-day-sequel-to-be-two-movies-possibly-called-id4-ever/ ----- This is just ridiculous.

Exclusive: Will Smith & Steven Spielberg’s Old Boy DEAD! Late Breaking News… This just in… You know that OLDBOY remake…well it wasn’t really a remake, anyway (which is a terrible idea by the way) Steven Spielberg and Will Smith were suppose to do a film that was based on the Japanese manga by Nobuaki Minegishi and Garon Tsuchiya and NOT FROM THE ORIGINAL FILM. At the time DreamWorks was in the process of securing the rights along with MANDATE, until NOW. According to a trusted source… …It’s DEAD! Mandate and DreamWorks didn’t see eye to eye therefore DreamWorks has apparently walked away. No Spielberg. No Will Smith. THEY’RE OUT! Hence no stateside Oldboy remake…or whatever you want to call it. Stay tuned as more develops. You guys should be hearing something in the trades soon. http://www.latinoreview.com/news/exclusive-will-smith-steven-spielberg-s-old-boy-dead-8502 ----- Aww hell naww! :boxedin:

Two-time Academy Award nominee, Will Smith, may have found the project that will finally win him that elusive Oscar. According to our inside source, The Hollywood Cog, Smith is set to produce and star in Flowers for Algernon, a modern-day adaptation of the Daniel Keyes’ novel. The movie is being set up at Sony Pictures and Smith’s production company, Overbrook Entertainment, along with Polksy Films. Tracy Nyberg, an associate producer on Hancock and an assistant to Will Smith on I Am Legend, is also set to produce. Flowers for Algernon has been adapted several times since it was originally published in 1959, most famously Ralph Nelson’s Charly, which won Cliff Robertson an Academy Award in 1969. The short story (and the subsequent novel) is about Charlie, a mentally retarded man who is the first human test subject for an experimental surgery that artificially increases intelligence. The experiment had already been performed successfully on Algernon, a lab mouse. Charlie’s newfound intelligence (his IQ skyrockets from 68 to 185), however, comes at the cost of his ability to socialize normally, as he becomes increasingly alienated from those around him. Emotional consequences are involved when Charlie learns the truth of the experiment. The project seems ideal for Smith, who was nominated for an Oscar for his performances in Ali and Pursuit of Happyness. Smith will bring his populist appeal to yet another Oscar contender. Smith has several other projects currently in development, including an American remake of Oldboy, potential sequels to Hancock and I, Robot, in addition to a prequel to I Am Legend. No word on where Flowers for Algernon will fall into Smith’s filming schedule, but I’d expect the project to be fast-tracked, once a director comes aboard. And though no director has been announced, Smith’s Happyness and Seven Pounds collaborator, Gabriele Muccino, seems a likely candidate. http://www.pajiba.com/trade_news/will-smith-signs-onto-flowers-for-algernon.php

“The problem is he's probably the biggest movie star on the planet. Being in that position, it doesn't make for a lot of time for music.” Before Will Smith was regarded as being a hit-maker for the box office, the actor was known as the Fresh Prince and made noise, alongside DJ Jazzy Jeff, on the music side. Together, the duo were able to heat up music and put Philadelphia on the map. The Philly scene now includes the likes of Beanie Sigel, Gillie the Kid, Cassidy and others that are complete opposites of the Fresh Prince, but they will always be recognized as the first to do it and watch it blow up in the mainstream. Although their career choices have gone in two different directions, Jeff maintains that the relationship between the two hasn't been shaken in all of these years. During promotion for the recently released video game, DJ Hero, Jeff speaks on how everything has essentially fallen in place for the two. “People don't realize about my relationship with Will is [that] this is exactly what we planned on doing. That's one of the things that we talk about more than anything. I remember when Will and I first got together, we kinda had a dream session and he was like, ‘You know what, I wanna do movies' and I was like, ‘Wow, I wanna do music' and I was like maybe I can do music for your movies.” He added how the movie industry has been a factor as to why the two haven't been able to link up again musically, although they have made constant attempts. “I think that a lot of the movie people hate when I come around because they know that I'm going to try to twist his arm to do some music. It's hard. He really wants to do it, but being one of the biggest movie stars on the planet, we'll talk about ‘Oh man, we wanna do this tour and go here' and then he'll call me and say ‘Hey, guess what? I was nominated for an Oscar. It's kinda like, ehh so much for the tour.” Whatever the case may be, the DJ states that the two still have moments where they are in awe of where their careers have gone since the days of “Summertime”, but through it all, they have continued to remain level-headed to one another as friends and have sat in anticipation for the day where they can finally make their return. http://hiphopwired.com/14827/jazzy-jeff-speaks-on-reunion-with-fresh-prince/

Yeah, I've seen 'JCVD'. I gotta agree, his performance was quite good, and the movie was probably the best movie he's ever done. I liked it. But all that "I want to be a serious actor now" is just BS for me. He's made some decent action movies but that's it. He can't be considered a good actor just because of 'JCVD' in my opinion. In fact, none of the actors from 'The Expendables' can't be considered great actors. That's why Jean-Claude was perfect for the role. Shame he rejected it.

You are right, Chris. But how could we stop this, man? TELL ME! I guess it's the law of life Thanks everyone. I had a great day. It's true, now I can drink in America. But first I have to go to America.

Rihanna: Being In Love With Chris Brown Was "Embarrasing"
Ale posted a topic in Caught in the Middle
Although the full interview won't air until tomorrow night, GMA gave us another look at Rihanna's emotional sit-down with Diane Sawyer. "That's embarrassing that that's the type of person that I fell in love with," she tells Diane in the new clip. "I stayed. I even went back after he beat me, which was wrong," Rihanna said. "But again ... I'm a human being and people put me on a very unrealistic pedestal. And all these expectations, I'm not perfect." Rihanna said her decision to finally get out was motivated by the idea that she was a negative role model for other young women who may have been in her same situation. "Even if Chris never hit me again, who is to say that their boyfriend won't? Who's to say that they won't kill these girls?" Rihanna continued, "These are young girls and I just didn't realize how much of an impact I had on these girls' lives until that happened." You can watch the entire interview tomorrow night on 20/20 at 10pm EST. Watch Video here: http://x17online.com/celebrities/rihanna/rihanna_being_in_love_with_chris_brown_was_embarrassing-11052009.php ----- Wow. A really touching interview. I'm glad Rihanna is saying this now. Better late than never. -
