Oh, I think I know what you're trying to say. You wanna know what's the most important song in Will's career. You wanna know if the 'Men In Black' theme or 'Gettin' Jiggy Wit It' were more successful than 'Summertime', more popular. Well, each of them has been as important as the others for him. But if you want my opinion, I think 'Summertime' would be his most important song. It's a classic old school song, and that's reason enough for me. And yeah, his most successful album was 'Big Willie Style'. My favorite.

I still think there's no need to make this sequel. We've already seen it all. It's over.

Michael Schumacher returns to Formula One with Ferrari
Ale replied to Ale's topic in Caught in the Middle
Michael Schumacher Cancels Comeback Michael Schumacher fans can leave their Dekra hats at home. The former Ferrari driver said that neck pain stemming from a motorcycle accident in February had forced him to call off his Formula One comeback. Unfortunately we did not manage to get a grip on the pain in the neck, which occurred after the private Formula One day in Mugello, even if medically and therapeutically we tried everything possible, he said in a statement. The consequences of the injuries caused by the bike accident in February, fractures in the area of head and neck, unfortunately have turned out to be still too severe. That is why my neck cannot stand the extreme stresses caused by Formula One yet. These are the clear results of the examinations we did on the course of the past two weeks and the final examination yesterday afternoon. As there were no improvements after the day in Mugello, I decided at short notice on Sunday to do that thorough examination already yesterday. Luca Badoer, Ferraris 38-year-old test driver, will step in for the injured Felipe Massa at the European Grand Prix later this month. Massa crashed in qualifying at the Hungarian Grand Prix two weeks ago, and was released from the hospital last week. For Ferrari fans, this is a bittersweet conclusion to the Schumacher comeback. While Schumacher would have juiced up fans eager to see if the seven-time world champion could still battle the new generation of drivers, like Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, Badoer has always been a Ferrari fan favorite. As the teams primary test driver for the last 10 years (after a racing career in backmarker cars), Badoer has had a hand in developing every car for Ferrari since 1999, including five championship-winning cars for Schumacher. http://wheels.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/08/11/michael-schumacher-cancels-comeback/ Pity! :hissyfit: -
Michael Jackson Movie Gets a Release Date Sony Pictures has now confirmed that it is joining with Sony Music Entertainment to release a movie featuring behind-the-scenes and rehearsal footage from preparation for Michael Jackson's "This Is It" concert series in London. Sony paid $60 million to concert producer AEG and the singer's estate for rights to turn the footage into a movie. Though the deal was negotiated last month, it was officially approved by a Los Angeles Superior Court judge today. The studio will release the film, also called "This Is It," worldwide on Friday, October 30th. Sony will no doubt be tying the opening into Michael Jackson's Halloween-oriented classic album and video "Thriller." Sony also revealed that some sequences, which were shot for use in the concert, will be in digital 3-D. http://worstpreviews.com/headline.php?id=14627&count=0

We're Drawing Closer to a Will Smith/Zoe Saldana Harvey Variety announced today that Tom Hanks has decided not to star in Steven Spielberg’s remake of Harvey, avoiding exactly the kind of unwinnable and unimaginative comparisons to Jimmy Stewart that we warned him against. So what’s next for the project? We can guess! At this point, it seems utterly inevitable that Spielberg will tap Will Smith to star — after all, the actor was in the mix when the project was first announced, and his shooting schedule is completely clear in 2010. Without pressing sequel commitments and with most of his star vehicles still in development (including a Spielberg-helmed redo of Oldboy), Smith would appear to have this one sewn up. And while we’re making predictions, here’s another: If Smith gets the nod, expect Zoe Saldana to be cast as his skeptical sister. She’s worked with Spielberg before on The Terminal, she’ll be coming off a stellar 2009, and she’s got no projects set with a definite date next year (since the Star Trek sequel is still in the planning stages). I’m still willing to be surprised, but methinks you don’t remake Harvey if you’re intent on throwing audiences for a loop. http://www.movieline.com/2009/08/were-drawing-closer-to-a-will-smithzoe-saldana-harvey.php

My Game: Alfonso Ribeiro By Alfonso Ribeiro Always powerful off the tee, Alfonso Ribeiro has improved his touch around the greens. Editor's Note: In "My Game," a weekly series, GolfDigest.com asks noted personalities to expound on their experiences in golf, and what keeps bringing them back. This week, actor Alfonso Ribeiro (Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Silver Spoons) discusses the joy he took from crushing the ball without regard to direction and how he discovered it was even more fun once he learned to control it. I started playing about 20 years ago, because a couple of buddies of mine went out and played once in a while and I decided to go with them. The first time was in Los Angeles, at Griffith Park Golf Course. We went out on a weekday and smacked the ball around and waited to see what happened. I fell in love with the game immediately. I've played it ever since. I'm very passionate about the game. It was very hard for me in the beginning. I played baseball as a kid and so I was able to hit the ball far. I had no idea where it was going, but I was crushing it from day one. It was one of those things that was fun for me: Look how far it was going! I played that way for probably five years, before I finally was able to start tightening the dispersion. I took a lesson at the Harmon School of Golf in Las Vegas, Butch's place, from one of his kids. Will Smith had taken a bunch of us over there. From then on, it just got better and better. I went from a 14 handicap to a 7 in one year, then from a 7 to a 5, 5 to 3, 3 to 2, and I've been there ever since. I work on the game all the time, and typically play two to three times a week at my club, Lakeside Golf Club in Toluca Lake, Calif. I have a coach there, Kevin Bailey, an assistant pro. He's my guy. If I get out of sync, he just gets me right back in sync. It's easy to get out of sync, too. When you think about baseball, you've got an entire diamond in which to hit it. In golf, there's a target and you have to hit it to that target. You have to be very precise. That's what makes it a special game for me, the challenge. The ball's not moving. Go ahead and try to hit it to where you're trying to hit it, and good luck. It's a tough game. The other side of it, of course, is the mental game -- a tough, tough game. I love that part. And whether it's golf or acting, it's basically the same: Being able to focus and deliver. Whether you're delivering a joke or a dramatic moment with tears, you're called upon to do it at that moment. That's what a golf game is. You have a shot you need to hit and you need to do it now. In between scenes or shots, you go off do what you do and then you've got to bring your focus back immediately. My strength off the tee remains the strongest part of my game. Now I'm starting to become a better putter, allowing me to play to my handicap on a more consistent basis. I play with a lot of the great golfers at Lakeside. We compete, have our little Nassaus for a few dollars every day we go out. It makes it easier, standing over a three-foot putt, whether it's for $35 or $100, knowing you've got to make it and having a chance to make it. http://www.golfdigest.com/magazine/2009/08/mygame_alfonso_ribeiro

HOLLYWOOD - JULY 29: A wax figure of Will Smith is displayed at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum on July 29, 2009 in Hollywood, California. http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/5155/88010030.jpg http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/7273/40200403.jpg ----- Actor Will Smith To Watch Italian Supercup Match In Beijing He's going straight to... the far, far, East. Hollywood star Will Smith is in Beijing at the moment, staying in the same hotel as Serie A side Lazio, confirmed Goal.com. The American actor, famous for Men In Black, Hitch, Seven Pounds, as well as several other films, is said to be attending the Supercoppa Italiana match between the Biancocelesti and Inter on August 8. The 40-year-old is with his son in Asia and received two jerseys from the Lazio team on Tuesday - one being number nine Tommaso Rocchi and the other being new-signing, number 74, Julio Cruz. Inter won the last edition of the event, held at the San Siro last year, defeating Roma in a penalty shoot-out after a 2-2 draw. Back in June 2008, Smith had reportedly said that LA Galaxy and England midfielder David Beckham had agreed to give him a few football lessons. His son, Trey, is also considering a career in the sport. http://goal.com/en/news/10/italy/2009/08/04/1421856/actor-will-smith-to-watch-italian-supercup-match-in-beijing ----- Ummm... Trey is considering a career in American football, which is different from football/soccer. Same old confusion

I was a big fan of 'Family Matters'! It was my favorite show when I was a kid. I liked it even more than 'FPOBA'. Steve Urkel is a legend. I miss a lot of shows from the 80's/90's: 'Knight Rider', 'The A Team', 'The Cosby Show', 'Punky Brewster', 'MacGyver', 'Growing Pains', 'Full House', 'Family Matters', 'Saved By The Bell', 'Blossom', 'Home Improvement', 'Hangin' with Mr. Cooper'... ahh well, at least we still have 'The Simpsons'.

Spielberg hops to 'Harvey' remake Director commits to adaptation of Chase play Steven Spielberg has committed to direct, as his next film, "Harvey," an adaptation of the Mary Chase Pulitzer Prize-winning play about a man -- played by Jimmy Stewart in the 1950 film version -- who befriends a 6½-foot-tall invisible rabbit. The project will be a co-production of 20th Century Fox and DreamWorks, the first pic under the latter's new incarnation. DreamWorks will finance 50% of the production through its new funding relationship with Reliance and distribute either domestic or international through its arrangement with Disney. Spielberg aims to begin production early next year, so the helmer is expected to reach out to a handful of top stars, most notably Tom Hanks and Will Smith, to find someone whose availability meshes with the planned start dates. Spielberg will produce with Don Gregory, and Elizabeth Gabler and Carla Hacken will oversee it. Their Fox 2000 acquired the rights last year. It's notable that Fox is at the center of the Spielberg film that kicks off the new DreamWorks iteration, as the studio had stayed out of the courtship of DreamWorks when it jumped from Universal to Paramount and then negotiated an exit with U before choosing Disney. Spielberg has been itching to get back behind the camera, and he was willing to do so even with a script developed outside DreamWorks or Par, which retained many plum DreamWorks projects in the divorce settlement between the two studios. While Spielberg is keen to direct both the Tony Kushner-scripted Liam Neeson starrer "Lincoln" and the Jeff Nathanson-scripted "The 39 Clues," those projects hadn't yet percolated. So Fox chairman Tom Rothman was able to pull a rabbit out of the hat for his studio. He just recently got a draft of the "Harvey" script -- the first written by novelist Jonathan Tropper -- and sent it to Spielberg, with whom he developed a relationship when they worked on "Minority Report." Spielberg and his DreamWorks partner Stacey Snider felt that while the source material is 65 years old, its themes are timely, uplifting and relatable. Spielberg's new partners, Reliance and Disney, were expected to participate in whatever film the helmer chose as his next project. While Spielberg was considering the Paul Attanasio-scripted rewrite of "Matt Helm" -- which DreamWorks developed but left behind when it exited that studio -- there was hesitation among those partners. But Fox's Rothman found sharing the picture an acceptable arrangement. Less than a week after passing the script to Spielberg, Rothman, fellow Fox chairman Jim Gianopulos, Spielberg and Snider were partners in the project. Spielberg decided late last week on "Harvey" over a couple of other projects that included "Matt Helm" (on which Spielberg will be a producer). Fox and DreamWorks are not the first studios to be sweet on Chase's story of the eccentric and his invisible rabbit friend, a play that won the Pulitzer Prize when it opened in 1944 and remained on Broadway through 1949. Dimension and MGM partnered on a film update for years and had John Travolta attached to play the eccentric at one time. But the rights lapsed, and Fox 2000's Gabler and Hacken picked them up in 2008. Screenwriter Tropper's latest novel, "This Is Where I Leave You," will be published this week by Dutton. Tropper is set to adapt that novel for Warner Bros. and director Greg Berlanti, and his other books are scattered at studios all over town. "Everything Changes" is being developed at Columbia by Tobey Maguire and Wendy Finerman; WB optioned Tropper's "Bush Falls"; and Paramount bought Tropper's "After Hailey" for Lorne Michaels and John Goldwyn. http://www.variety.com/article/VR1118006812.html?categoryid=13&cs=1&ref=bd_film
