1. Yeah me and Prince had a chat bout this awhile ago...i hate to be the bearer of bad news but I honestly think he's.....died or something. I mean, you can't disappear from the internet like that. If he did die, then Rest in Peace and hopefully he died peacefully like in his sleep. :sad6: :sad6: AJ, send a letter out to him man!!!! Get some news round here!
2. They coulda taken off Freakin It and replaced it with somethin else but the album cant be called Willenium without "Will 2k"...that wouldn't be right.
3. ahhh hell yeah!!!!!! can't wait! Nick @ Nite is gettin fresh!
4. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detai...161653?v=glance theres the book what is JJFP rated/listed on there as?
5. I don't get the thing for Willenium either but the whole thing with Jaden was like him telling Sony "No" to not put Wild Wild West on Willenium...hmm... 13. Uuhhh 14. Holla Back 15. The Rain thats how Willenium shoulda been like..
6.
I think both of those songs are a great repersentation of how good JJ+FP's music is and what the standard for Hip-Hop old and new should be like.
well said AJ, i definatly agree, yet everything is sub-standard today in hip-hop.
7. Hey thanks for the shoutout and welcome to the club!
8. back to ur normal self? and hopefully posting more? heheheh
9. ah thats good to know...i wonder what the youth center is called.
10. And also this board flamming, as we witnessed by Shadow Silver Panther thingymerbopper....haha has to stop tho....knobjockeys like these, make the board bad.
11. "took the insults, fed em to my ego, used it for fuel"...haha
12. I remember most of those sites except the older official WS boards...
13. where would you wear that is the question? lol. ugly...ew.
14. Souls of Mischief - '93 Till Infinity
15. I gotta go with Kanye too...everyone sucks nowadays.
16. I have mixed feelings bout the whole charity thing and FP. You dont hear much about charity and Will but I think FP does alot for Philly behind the scenes. I sure hope because i'd give to charity instead of buying a $20,000 golden toilet.
17. Will 2k is a great song..i love it. The sample and the song totally goes together...its awesome. This was also #14 on VH1's Totally Awesome bad songs...so its like a joke, the song is awesome but corney as hell their trying to say.
18. Both songs have tons of energy in them. When you watch the videos, it totally takes your mind away. That was smart of JJFP to make a song about how they made the song. really clever.
19.
Confusing... Just like the whole "I got some hot records, I got The Rain, I got Uuuuh, what should I put on now?", AFTER Uuuh had already played.
hmm....never noticed that before..interesting.. No i think the whole story is this. JJFP's first real song was "Girls Aint Nothin but Trouble" which they made in 1986 and it helped them get signed to Champion Records and it first got airplay, spring 1986. They also released "Rock the House" later in 1986 on Champion in which helped got signed by Jive Records. Girls Aint Nothin Bout Trouble got remade in 88 because of the lyrics were a little violent. something like "but i punched her in her chin and hit her with a trash can"....lol playful storytelling lyrics but were alittle violent. Then He's the DJ was released in '88 and Parents Just Don't Understand and Nightmare was on it. So I'm takin the 88 remake of Girls was released after the album and singles dropped.
20. Both sound real great live...they gotta be close to the top rap songs of all-time.
21. Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince "Brand New Funk"
22. I've been listening to "Brand New Funk" and "Summertime" lately like crazy and these songs are just musical masterpieces. It's hard to explain, but these songs are just above everything I've ever heard in my mind. Both songs are so fun and great to listen to and clearly displays what rap and hip-hop is all about. That's what you get from a literary genius and superior beat creator. Only Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince can pull these songs off. It would be so great to see JJFP remake "Brand New Funk". That would be dope. I don't want another remake of "Summertime". That's an untouchable song, well both are but Summertime is just too smooth to remake.
23. Is it just me or I'm I seeing these kinda posts everyday now....lol As we've said before, FP is releasing this independantly so its harder...but look, its september and either way we're getting new material.
24. haha thats pretty cool though that Jeff is you competition man! wow! Jeff is really hittin up london and all the hot spots in europe.
