1.
Haha, you appear to have poked the stick into the hornets hive now... I actually think if some of FPs songs were partly influenced by rock they would be pretty damn good. I like FPs songs where hes spitting harder verses... Born to Reign (the song) for instance is a work of art...
I love FP's battle songs....Numero Uno, I'm All That, Somethin' Like Dis, From Da South, Born to Reign...etc...
2. we got some of them here in Jersey...decent little resturants..nice for a lil slice of pizza and a calzone.
3. Will is such a busy man...hes all over the world.
4. I think the video has to be flashy a little bit to get some success
5.
If huge success comes with this new album, i wouldnt' be surprised if another compilation would come out. However, it would be along the lines of the Will Smith "Greatest Hits" album with a bonus or 2 if we were lucky. I hate the idea of any project that JJ and/or FP not involved with cuz it won't be put 2gether properly and it won't but up 2 their standards. Remastering all 5 albums and the JJ+FP Greatest Hits album and releasing them is a good idea. I don't think any albums with rarities, concerts, or anything should be released without JJ+FP involved. I think that stuff should only be produced in limited qualities 4 the fans and not 4 the public 2 just get cuz there's a reason that stuff waz never released in the 1st place...cuz it waz never meant 4 public release when it waz new and fresh.
Agreed!!!
6.
Homebase waz the 1st album i got when it waz new. Before then i got a copy of He's The DJ, I'm The Rapper from my friends older sister. I had the other singles from cousin who taped everything off the radio. After i got Homebase...i went back and got all the other albums. Of course this waz 1991 and i waz still buying cassettes, so i had 2 get all that stuff on CD in the late 90's. Code Red waz the 1st album i got on CD. I had no idea when Code Red came out (tho' i knew it waz comin' out) so i went 2 the mall pretty much every day for a month until it came out. My mom could have killed me 4 all that driving back and forth. It waz cool tho' cuz all my friend heard it and when out and got the album. I can't believe it took so long 2 go platnium cuz i probalby know a million people who bought it shortly after it came out.
Wait..did it go Gold or Platinum in the US? And what bout in the UK? Platinum? Multi-platinum?
7. My Boom! Shake the Room and Ring My Bell CD singles came today in the mail! woo! Nice to have "From Da South" on the official CD it was released on. And My Ring My Bell CD is 7 tracks. haha. good stuff.
8. I think I've heard all Boom! remixes except the cover and the '95 remix. Why'd they wait 2 years? lol
9.
Just one thing to say... JAZZY JEFF & FRESH PRINCE FOREVER!!!!!
PREACH IT MY MAN!
10. I'm also taking the side of W3 and fan4ever...hes pure rap and hip-hop. Black Suits Comin was an experiemnt and all those songs he recorded for Born to Reign that never made the cut probably had guitar in it.
11. lololol. wow. nice performance there brakes
12. eh...I just hope Jada and FP's kids arent on the album...
13. I'm 16 so I basically missed the whole JJ+FP era from their first single to the last episode of "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air". I wish I was older though so I could've witnessed it all happening. Not only that, but all the other great rap music at the time. But my search for good music is always ongoing and I just go back to the 80s and early 90s of rap and its like treasure.
14.
Will Smith should still be known as the Fresh Prince, a lot of ol' school m.c.'s kept their rap names so he should keep his as well, since people know Will Smith as an actor, it'll be easier for people to refer to Fresh Prince as a rapper. As long as he starts droppping more albums, I don't care what he calls himself though.
Agreed. In 1997 when Sony and Will did their contract, Will left the name part of the contract blank since he couldn't decide if he wanted to go back as "the Fresh Prince". So Sony I guess took it upon themselves and now he was Will Smith and "Big Will" who is an actor who raps on the side. What a crap image. Anyway I agree with FuQ. JJ+FP gotta get back to their name. Give Jeff props for what he does.
15. Top 5 1. Fresh Prince (hes got mad skills yet its always overshadowed by his acting) 2. LL Cool J (great MC whose been around in the game for 18 years and still sellin' records) 3. 2pac (Great stuff, deep meaningful, considered one of the best all-time) 4. Queen Latifah (Who knows when she'll drop another new rap album but I love 1993's Black Reign. On that album she completely rips it). 5. Kanye West (Excellent producer now coming in as an excellent rapper. Hopefully he leads a new wave of rap with Talib Kweli and anyone else who is different and doesn't talk about crap like 90% of rap does).
16. The original, I dont like the remix all too much.
17. the production is so old and not used by modern equipment thats why you always gotta turn up the volume when listening to them. I could crank the volume up for Homebase and it'll still sound so low.
18. They really gotta remaster all those CDs...maybe not Code Red as much but the 4 albums need it.
19. it looked like there was a blur on the camera but overall not bad...thanks!
20. they also do the dance in the last episode where FP takes em "behind the scenes"...you see Nicky doing it with Will...haha
21. A boxed set would be really nice though. I'd want... - A DVD collection of all their concerts, performances, tours, them in the studio, behind the scenes - All 5 JJFP CDs REMASTERED - Rare and unreleased material
22. I dont know who to write to but chances are, they wouldn't care. Usually Jive/BMG release stuff when JJFP is hot at the moment. Like when BWS blew up everywhere, Jive re-released all 5 JJFP albums on CD along with a nice "Greatest Hits" album that had singles but wasn't promoted. Then when Willenium dropped, Jive released "Before the Willenium". Which was kinda beat. The whole point is to try and make money off of Will...yeah its nice for us fans, but they do "mooch" off Will.
