2.
I don't like Jay-Z much either...u are fooling yourself if u are tyring 2 put him and Fresh Prince in the same category. Jay-Z's subject matter is very limited...FP's isn't. Jay's only been commerically in the game for 10 years...FP is approaching 20. Jay insults his listeners...FP respects nearly everyone. Jay' acts like a Hip-Hop/Rap has no history while FP reminds us that it dose and that he helped pioneer it.
haha word AJ!
3. Here's my second song, a lil more deeper flavor to it, you're exposed to how its like growing up in high school with weed being the "thing" around ya. This song shows my thoughts about it. Opinions always nice.. ------------------------------- Blinded Date: August 9, 2004 They can't see it They can't see me They can't see themselves Yo they can't see it they want another hit im talkin' bout gettin' involved seeing smart people get their brains dissolved all over the place you see people smokin' taking their minds and doing a chokin' lives and hearts end up being brokin' and the rain pours hard on them that they soakin' i aint speakin of cigs this time its green leaves that fill ya up with grime friends, brothas, sistas tryin that stuff get hooked fast then they ask for a puff they like it because it fills they minds up with fluff askin for a seed so they can plant some weed sayin its somethin they need but it turns into greed they stuck stranded with their last buck hoping they can get some weed with their luck They can't see it They can't see me They can't see themselves 'cause they Blinded They can't see it They can't see me They can't see themselves 'cause they Blinded they can't through the thin and thick as they just wanna get high quick trapped in a daze, lost in the dark so desperate for a lighter, just for a spark gettin' high with a little cotton mouth try sellin it to me, and ill send ya to the south stop askin me if I want any grass man, ill just pass and go on to play with a little base so back up fool, and get the hell outta my face i hate to say it but i'd rather be a thug then to smoke and take a drug ive always wondered what made it so cool stop frontin' man, you just a tool open your eyes and look around you just sendin' ya self straight into the ground because ya blinded Chorus: I learned from watching my friends makin a mistake asking me once in a while if I wanted to partake but I never did take the step because I knew it'd mess wit my rep now people been tellin me that its fun thats clean dont test me son, i aint touchin that kinda green pretty damn beat to see ya movin' dirt just for a stem I'm better then you, ya brother and all of them so wake up and smell the coffee you ain't tough, you just a softee i dont need weed for body fuel because I can kill ya in any rap dual i got no time to deal with ya drips its obvious you've been blinded by an eclipse Chorus (x3)
4. When will this "nude" stuff end... lol
5. nice! all of us been keepin' it real...
6. I'm Rick James bitch! ... lolol sorry just had to do it.. RIP.
7. you can no doubt feel Will on his deeper stuff on all his albums. Just gotta look past the singles into the real album, each album is like the current chapter of his life, what hes feeling at the moment, whats on his mind...etc. Its great. In movies, he's just playing a part that the writers created and everything is planned. Fun to watch but it's not the real FP.
8. Yo Andy2k, nice to meet ya, I think I've heard of you before but sweet pics! Must've been one hell of an event to goto. Glad to see the Too Damn Hype posse still tighter than ever.
9. I don't think I've seen her in anything since..... looks like 1993 was a very busy year for FP ...lol Code Red, TV, Movies, Lawsuits, Trey being born...etc.
10. I'm hoping it'll be deeper than "The Rain" and it will further solidify him as a great rapper who just didn't do movie songs and he'll be known for deep stuff like 2pac. That'd be sweet.
11. yeah so we got Mary J, Kanye, Elephant Man, Kwame, Jazzy Jeff..etc this is gonna be off da hook!
12. I hope so and it looks like it. and Lambertj3, i see ya sticking up for Will on rapdirt.com ....good stuff bro!
13. I think its amazing that hes so different in terms of his content in his music while on Rocafella...i hate Jay-Z but Kanye isn't like him at all. I think Kanye and Will together would help both each other with sales.
14. Finally I got a small clip of the I, Robot UK premiere and JJFP performing. This clip also has bits of an interview and stuff...over 5 minutes long though. 16. Yo guys, this is my first ever completed song I wrote. Now in the past I wrote some verses here and there but never a full song. I'm gonna lace the track sometime this week maybe when I can find a good instrumental...or if someone wants to make a beat for me, thats great. I need real opinions here too. Don't laugh either...rookie over here... ---------------- This is How I Rip It Date: August 7, 2004 On ya mark get set, here I go as it's another white boy doin a rap show people dissin on me as I step up to the plate swing, and the pitch is straight to the gate I look up and smile at the people in envy, the people with hate after bein' influenced by rap's best I know I don't need much skill to put 50cent to a test once in awhile someone call me a wigger yo but im different, i dont mess with pullin a trigger living in a community the music was punk rock used to hear that **** be played on every other block i tell em I listen to 2pac and they be in shock but i never fell in that trap instead i just loved my old-skool rap my desire was inspired by JJ+FP followed by the DMC, BizMarkie, K+P and AD but thats how it was back in the day and its the style I like to play so yo, dont flip y'all cuz this is how I rip it Chorus: Ch-ch-check check it out ch-ch-check check it out This is How I rip it yeah This is How I rip it ch-ch-check check it out ch-ch-check check it out This is How I rip it Growin up as teen I wasn't fully focused in the latest rap scene lyically flat, little to no skill completely amazes me how they make at least a mill haha, they gotta know that im the king of the hill now its the two-k-four and everyone huffs and puffs think they walkin tough and livin' in the rough truth of the matter is that most of em don't and its a big game of pretend, but I'm for real so I won't you know the music is goin down the drain when mainstream negativity has control of a person's brain but nah-ahhhh cuz that aint me but yo im for real, the rapper that aint heel everytime I grab a mic I like to flow kick it nice and smooth like Kurtis Blow all the time my rhymes are so unique living proof that you know its a hundred percent technique its my time to shine so dont trip miss ima just sit back and ima rip this Chorus: last and final verse I just gotta tell ya I'm far from the worse I'm ahead in the game, tossin 'round my name rhymes aint the same, just climbin the ladder to fame I rap for the fun of it but I when I spit, I keep it full of wit when I freestyled for fun, no one took me serious but then I started writing songs they became delirious i dont write simple dr. seuss rhymes rap has turned into a game to get the dimes and somehow you can do that by commiting crimes just needs fast talking by city slimes a rat tat tat tat tat I guess thats the way it is rappers come hit it big then they fizz need some new blood so its me the up and comer vocals comin' left and right and hit ya hard like a hummer i can do it all in the fall, spring, winter and summer so come one, come all and get a grip this is how I do it, this is how I rip this Chorus(x2)
17.
I think the album is definitly worth getting despite the way Will experimented leaving some of us wanting more. I think the stand-out trax are... Act Like You Know Block Party How Da Beat Goes Give Me Tonite
True-dat! Thats definatly the tracks I love off that album.
