Good for you man! Have a safe travel! Ever since I saw The Rock come back as the host of WM last year, my interest was sparked again into the product. Especially when CM Punk gave that shoot promo on RAW - wow! It was the truth. The Rock better win or I'm not watching WWE again - ever. Cena is garbage and I'm partial to the Attitude era stars because it's too dumbed down now. CM Punk needs to win as well even though I like Jericho alot and when those two wrestled on Raw this week, it was real good. The only thing I hate with this whole Rock - Cena angle is that it hasn't gotten physical whatsoever. The Rock needs to wrestle at least a match before the big show. Have him in a tag team match with CM Punk vs Cena and Jericho or something. I love his promos but I want to see action.

Least Favourite/Annoying Will Smith Songs
DevilsJim89 replied to Ataraxia's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
A couple of JJFP songs I definitely dislike ..."Then She Bit Me..." and "Guys Aint Nothing But Trouble" As far as Will Smith "solo" stuff...I like the fast-paced lyrics of "La Fiesta" but that whole spanish vibe didn't fit on Willenium, clearly a "Miami" sequel and then again with "I Cant Stop".. Willow is a Player and I Cant Stop I'm definitely not a fan of. Born to Reign just had so many flaws in general. -
JJFP performing 'Summertime' at Superbowl 1992

What? Isn't that him in the opening minutes in the back of Will? I'm pretty sure I can hear his voice -

I'm not against Willow making music or enjoying success but it's something that just falls on deaf ears for me. Obviously she makes music for her age range but I can't say its quality unfortunately.

He released an album back in 2000-2001 but it really wasn't anything significant in terms of mainstream. I have both Skee-Lo albums and he's a great rapper and its a shame that he had to deal with all that ugliness with labels.

Thanks Ale!!! Jeff is the man, I love these interviews too. If I see the duration of the clip is more than 5 minutes, I know its a legitmate interview and Jeff is providing insight. My God I would kill to just sit down with that man one day and talk about music.

So I'm Pretty Sure an Actual Rap Battle Has Begun
DevilsJim89 replied to Big Ben's topic in Caught in the Middle
That track really sucked. I sound so negative lately but damn...this is why I feel like I'm just into rap as much as I use to be. This is pathetic....seriously Common with Rick Ross and who the hell is French Montana? Lyrics sucked, beat sucked, hook was wack...Commons lines were good and I guess they were using autotune to mock him..ehh -
COMMON SENSE - The Dreamer/The Believer
DevilsJim89 replied to JumpinJack AJ's topic in Caught in the Middle
Blue Sky and Celebrate are dope...Sweet is ehhh..and Ghetto Dreams is GARBAGE. I still can't get into that track. Here you have two incredible emcees collaborating and you come up with hot crap. Listen to Common's first verse ...wtf? I know Common is an awesome emcee but come on...hes spitting that same crap that everyone talks about as to why rap sucks today. -
Don't worry, Janet. If there ever is a reunion they'll call Daphne Reid to play your role. Best post of 2011. LOL. Janet was such a good actress that she was completely irrelevant for the most part post '93. Its funny how that little punk became the biggest movie star in the world....

That was great man! hahah - it just goes to show how comical the "entertainment" world is.

I wasn't big on this track when I first heard the album but its definitely grown on me. He has so many good lines in this track its just the beat I would do differently maybe take an old R&B sample from the 80s and smooth it out a little bit. Skillz is very underrated, a lot of people here should check him out and on top of that - he's a good dude. Wish I had more time to chat with him at shows.

The CD is actually in the CD changer in my car. I actually don't know why LOL The best track lyrically on the album is "Born to Reign." How the hell was this not a full song? I'll never understand. But I def agree, there's some great tracks like: Act Like You Know How Da Beat Goes Give Me Tonite <-- fav Block Party <- ehh at best but then theres some real crap like Willow is a Player I Can't Stop Maybe and I remember around the time the album was released, I think Will said he had like 40 songs. Wow...there's gotta be way better.

Absolutely!!! Happy Thanksgiving Everyone - enjoy!!!!!

I wasn't crazy about Mac Miller but after listening to some of his mixtapes, I'm a big fan. You have to understand that he's a kid at heart just kicking it and having fun. He can definitely spit and I can assure you he's better than Rick Ross, Soulja Boy, Waka Flocka...etc and all these wack emcees. He's very respectful to the old school and pays homage by spitting over classic beats and hooking up the DJ Premiers, the DJ Jazzy Jeff's...etc.

http://www.tmz.com/2011/11/08/heavy-d-dead/#.TrmsNex8Hnh Rap legend Heavy D -- one of the most influential rappers of the '90s -- died earlier today ... TMZ has learned. Heavy D -- real name Dwight Arrington Myers -- was rushed to an L.A. hospital around noon today ... and was pronounced dead at the hospital at 1 PM. He was 44 years old. We've learned a 911 call was placed from Heavy's Beverly Hills home around 11:25 AM to report an unconscious male on the walkway . When help arrived, we're told Heavy D was conscious and speaking -- and was transported to a nearby hospital. He died a short time later. Cops are investigating the death -- and so far, there are no obvious signs of foul play. Police are currently at the home. Heavy D had several massive hits -- including "Now That We Found Love." He also wrote and performed the theme song for "In Living Color" ... and appeared as an actor in the movie "Life." Heavy just performed at the Michael Jackson Tribute Concert in Wales on October 8. He sang "Jam" with La Toya Jackson -- and rocked it (video below). ----------------------- RIP!!! One of the best ever!!!

Thats true but that was 1999...in 2011 things aren't always kept so quiet. However, I strongly believe when it comes to Will and music, it's kept a secret for whatever reason. I don't think Mars was supposed to leak that he was working with Will and whenever I ask Jeff or his camp, its always kept quiet. I even pulled up the pic last summer of Will, Game and Neptunes and asked what was going on and he smiled and put his finger over his mouth and told me it was top secret lol...
