  1. amen. Jay's lyrics did that beat justice. co-sign! hahah ..i been blasting that like crazy.. and yeah Wes, i just went to my 4th and final prom on sat night and all these radio songs sound great...everyone fronts on this board like they hate the crap on the radio but when your with your friends somewhere someplace, these talentless, garbage tracks are great. lol Lil Jon - "Get Low" ..i love that song too
  2. I dont know if this got any radio play but Jay-Z's "Brooklyn High" (Jim Jones Diss) is so funny. Jay-Z rapping over the "We Fly High" beat is incredible he makes it so much more better.
  3. haha yeah i was like why is Will making up words? lol
  4. Okay, im def gonna get heat for this but we all know how mainstream hip-hop SUCKS but when your young like myself, theres just some stuff mad by crap rappers with crap lyrics but somehow the song is hot ..ill start JIM JONES - WE FLY HIGH - The beat is pure fire! It sounds so great blasting it in my car. Nothing like shoutin out "BALLIN!" when your joking with your friends. 50 CENT - IN DA CLUB - Okay, I hate 50 but DRE laced him with another pure fire beat. Talk about ironic here but I think hearing and watching FP rap "Summertime" over it made me like the song even more. FAT JOE - MAKE IT RAIN - This is another decent track, radio materal yeah unfortunatly but its not bad. Its a shame what Fat Joe is now compared to what he use to be but "Make it Rain on them hos" is pretty funny lol AKON ft. SNOOP - I WANNA F*** YOU - Now the title of this song is pure trash, actually it all is but that beat aint bad. -------------- what are some tracks on the radio that you kinda like but know is garbage?
  5. damnn....whys this gotta be on a wednesday night? ughhh
  6. i was wondering the same thing when i bought Willenium when i was only 13 back in early 2001 haha it happens.
  7. "Aint No Place Like Home" is definitly an underrated track. It's another hot spot on "Code Red" and FP definitly is down-to-earth with his raps and what he feels like and how he doesn't see his family much. I listen to this track usually around the holidays though (Thanksgiving-Christmas).
  8. http://forum.rapgodfathers.com/showthread.php?t=108891 Yep - wow ..i really thought it'd go Gold. damn.. how much did The Magnificent sell anyway?
  9. ...y'all aint gonna believe this. 50 Cent talks to KRS-One and Marley Marl... :shakehead: http://videos.onsmash.com/v/p8w1YvQebNP943M2 - Part 1 http://videos.onsmash.com/v/La5ZyPJGRGEV6pjH - Part 2 ........this should be good conversation. oh boy.
  10. It's got to be "DJ Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince" again. No more of this Will Smith crap...or even worse..feat. DJ Jazzy Jeff. It must have the proper title. The "Will Smith" era is over. It was 1997-2002. In '05 he refered to himself as the Fresh Prince. Not as BIG WILL..or that wack crap.
  11. I'll never forget Live8...I only went to Live8 JUST FOR JJ+FP!
  12. outstanding accomplishment. See a little JJFP news/rumors goes along way haha
  13. All these sites are just paraphrasing what the original sun article was. Also though, it seems alot of the media WANTS JJ+FP to comeback and change hip-hop now because its garbage. I'm liking this baby!
  14. What kind of fan are you? It's been two years homie. Go get it.
  15. Well even so with all those music programs, iTunes is the most popular one and alot of people actually buy songs off iTunes. Which is the big factor in "Switch" being the #1 Digital Download going 3 times platinum.
  16. Give it some time but if rumors can spread this fast online, just wait until MTV gets it. I just love all the attention just based on the idea of a new JJFP album. Maybe with all the attention FP can just do it because he'll see the attention of it.
  17. This is crazy but at the same time its pretty good. It's just more and more attention on JJFP to make an album even if it may not be true. You gotta love the attention cause I'm sure MTV and other major media networks will pick up on this.
  18. Kev, that is awesome what you did in your own time for us man. Really appreciate it. you and Brakes. now i want my turn!
  19. Thats not true. Almost everyone i know who wants an album will go out and buy a physical copy of it. That is just a better musical experience. nah. i go out and buy the actual albums too but, people like me are clearly in the minority nowadays, i don't know ANYONE else who actually goes to a record store and buys the album. this is why the music industry has seen such a decline in the last couple of years and record companies aren't putting as much marketing/promotion dollars into projects anymore. look at justin timberlake's album, if this was 5 years ago that album would have sold 6 million by now, but in today's industry he's somewhere around 3 million. ringtones are becoming the new "record sales" sadly, since nobody sells records anymore these guys are pulling in a lot of money off their ringtones. It all depends on your location. Kev, it's a completely different music industry over here in the United States. The country is so ficle when it comes to music. Very rarely do you see any good/positive singles from Rap music anymore. For me personally over here, "Runaway Love" and "Kick Push" were probably the best, most well-written tracks. Rap is all about partying now. Singles drive the rap industry too. The majority of people I know just download the albums rather than going out and buying it. Maybe its a coincedence that rap sales are on the decline at the time in which the music keeps getting ****tier? You cant even call Rap music, music anymore. Its just noise. 90% of the crap on the radio is. Plus of course the singles are promoted for like 12 to 25 year olds. None of them even care for real music. U.S. isn't musically conscience as other countries in the world, unfortunatly. What Will's problem is, he just doesn't put out new material quickly enough. It was said I think in an interview someone posted on here awhile ago that you need to drop like 2 hits a year and have collabos or people forget about you. Consistency, FP just isnt consistent because a movie takes many months to do. At least a year if not more from actual pre-production to production to post-production with touring and all that crap, and Will drops like 3-4 movies in between albums. It just doesnt work. I dont think the young people in the US consider FP "old school" like us and many other smart hip-hop fans do, he's still a pop icon however you look at it and what L+F did was good with all the crappy promotion. 700k here in the US..Gold..Switch was 3X PLATINUM - thanks to DIGITAL MUSIC DOWNLOADS. FP won an American Music Award beat out 50 cent. Theres just so many variables right now with Will, its tough.
  20. Julie, the first 2 links are for part 3 and the last 2 links are for part 4..lol.. links messed up i think
