Kind of a dream for me that came true

it was awesome! -
I saw this link two nights ago. I thought the comedian was funny but I take it Jamie Foxx got pissed when he started dissing Jamie. Jamie owned him but also saved him too.

We are all fans of Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince. We love the music and after we hear and feel it, we get the urge to perform it and pretend like you're the Fresh Prince and get the crowd going on the mic. Tonight my friend Chris held a graduation party at the Holiday Inn. There was a DJ playing jams and after my friend Chris and this kid Ryan sang some song - people wanted me to go up there and do a Will Smith song. I didn't want to at first but I looked through the guys CD collection for Will Smith and saw "Switch", "Wild Wild West" and "Summertime". I knew I wanted to do "Summertime". So I sat down and then the DJ called me up, he said 30 secs till the song begins. I did a few "mic checks 1-2" then "Summertime" hit. I felt at home since I knew all the words by heart. I did and I got my friends into it, some were even breakdancing to it. It was awesome. All I gotta say it was kinda like a dream come true for me, just to rock-shock the house. Just a great time I had tonight, figure I share it with you guys. I know a few other people here have performed JJFP or WS songs - tell your experience too.

yo im a quiet regulator on this board and i wanna ban you and ya mic cord because im sick and tired of your trash others you like to bash and the way you write, seems like you on hash take the T - I - C outta your name because Da Trip explains you and your game nobody likes you hear, you aint a fan you just another member we cant stand your IP adds up you are Frosty and what you say on this board is costly so heres a quick little suggestion dont sign up again with another name and ask yourself a question can you feel the tension or you still stuck in your own dimension?

Wow man thanks for that...thats pretty interesting. It just further proves the FP was one of the premier rappers coming up in Philly. He was the best rapper most likely. I just looked up who Steady B is...Wikipedia: Steady B (b. Warren McGlone) is a former rapper from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States. He was in a group called CEB, which also featured fellow Philadelphia rapper Cool C, and he also worked together with KRS One. Along with Schoolly D and the Fresh Prince, Steady B was one of the first wave of Philadelphia-area rappers to gain notoriety. With an appealing blend of battle raps and freestyle lyrics, Steady's style is an accurate representation of post-Run-D.M.C./pre-Public Enemy era hip-hop. At his best, Steady mixed well-written metaphors and wordplay with sparse yet catchy drum tracks. As was often the case in 1980s rap though, Steady just as frequently relied on gimmicky themes and corny yarns to fill out his albums. After releasing five albums with mixed success, Steady formed the hardcore group C.E.B. in an effort to update his style, and sales. The C.E.B. album failed, and Steady faded into obscurity. It would have been far better for Steady if he'd simply remained unheard from, but in 1996, Steady and his old C.E.B. partner Cool C were convicted of a botched armed robbery and the murder of Philadelphia police officer Luretha Vaird -- the first female officer to die in the line of duty in Philadelphia. To avoid a possible death sentence, Steady confessed to the robbery and was sentenced to life without possibility of parole, while Cool C awaits a possible Execution. haha so FP went on to better things while Steady B is steadily rotting away in jail. Gotta love it. haha

How can you say that? At least thats my question if you dont mean dawgs in a bady way. I should've said mainstream. He was Def Jam's first big star. Pioneer in the mainstream. -

I came a little sideways when I replyed to this. My main opinion though of this whole matter is I'm surprised. There are absolutely no need for LL to work with 50. Check the creditials - LL runs the rap game in Queens. He is the one who was there from the start. I think LL just wants more sales. I really hate to say it but thats the only logical reason. 50 is hot right now - unforturnatly and LL isn't as big right now. It's not just LL selling well today, many other cats as well. Actually rap aint selling right now. Everyone downloads albums illegally and burns them. A rapper is lucky to be certified Gold now a days. About the music on the album, I just have a strong feeling there will be at least one track with 50/Gay Unit on there. Just to be working on projects with 50 is horrible. LL - a rap pioneer, one of the best of all-time should not be working with young dawgs of today. Will I listen to this album? Of couse I will. I will definatly give it a listen and just cause it's LL I know I'm going to like a few tracks on it. Just wait and give it a listen is what I say but we all agree on the fact working with 50/Gay Unit is wrong and we shouldn't be seeing this happen. -

I will still give the album - no doubt but I don't support LL in this music decision. -

Ted, I agree with you on everything you said. LL is my second favorite rapper but this is just absurd. LL does not realize how much street cred he is going to lose. "The Definition" sold around 700,000 and "Todd Smith" hasnt been selling at all. "Freeze" even with the remix I dont think has caught on. His sales are runnin dry now. His last Def Jam album? I thought he signed on for 10 more lol. And first thing that came to my mind when I read this was - SALES. Tim said it, looks like LL is desperate for sales. Now you know theres gonna be a parental sticker on the album too. -
I've been telling my friends since early this year the Wii will be HUGE. its going to be around $200 to $250 and its gonna be very innovative. Just like N64 was with the controller..plus the ability to download old games is incredible. The price is amazing **** PS3 and $600 price **** Xbox360 $399 - $499 price Nintendo is always better lol

hahaha that was great...i think 93? hes def not a morning person. i loved how he said in the end "i do my own rotisserie and my own rolls"... "come to Jeff's steaks!"

-
yo word tim hip-hop is dying every cat now is lying flashin money and checks when they never seen turntable decks now a simple beat from a PC with a catchy hook will get ya on MTV when will this bull**** clown imagery end? when will rappers be real and not pretend? talkin bout eatin right and then bout smokin weed just in it for the money, controlled by the greed love the top ten TRL BET 106 and park rap is too commerical, all good lyricists are left in the dark ...... haha i could go on tim ... been awhile since i wrote some ish
-

Turntable - you bump Will 2k in the summer? thats really funny since i bump that around November, December. haha. Any old Snoop, Dre ill be bumping as well.
-
I agree with AJ. Jeff already has an official myspace page, so he can make a JJ+FP one and then get FP involved. I dont see why not, Tim just ask him man haha
-
I'll be bumping Chamillionaire's "Ridin" and Rihanna's "SOS"..those songs are huge the last few months around here. I'll also be bumping alotta classics - I have a whole CD made already and it contains classics like 2pac/Dre "California Love", Snoop "Gin & Juice", Will Smith - "Jiggy" and "Miami"...etc Snap Your Fingers? Are you guys serious? That has to be the worst song I've ever heard - well up there. The video is a joke as well. Why does anyone like Lil Jon? Hes a waste product.
-
ah man he cursed - stop trippin everyone, stay on topic. How did the page look Wes? Like was it all tripped out or just bland?
-
he mentioned the same line in "Chasin' Forever" damn thats 3 albums in a row lol
-
I dont understand how "Comin to the Stage" wasnt a track on the album. Will is stupid for not including it, id rather have that then a "Switch" remix anytime. Plus it woulda been huge! But once again another single material song is overlooked. what a shame but its nothing new for Will. "We Wont" is an alright track not that bad "Chosen One" - GREAT LYRICS BY FAR but the beat is by FAR OFF. I cant believe how horrible this track was produced. Born to Reign leftover...disgusting.
