Willow Smith already has everyone whipping their hair and now she will go in front of the lens to provide the visuals to her girl power anthem. The nine-year-old daughter of Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith is preparing to shoot her first music video next week. Ray Kay, the man behind Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” and Justin Bieber’s “Baby,” has been tapped to direct Willow’s debut video for “Whip My Hair.” The clip will be filmed early next week in Los Angeles. “I’m very excited to work with such a unique artist as Willow, and I’m happy to help present her to the world as a new and fresh artist,” Ray Kay told Rap-Up.com of Jay-Z’s Roc Nation signee, who took the Internet by storm with her single. “I’m also really happy to be involved with a project that has such a positive message as this one, and I’m certain people that are watching the video will feel inspired to develop their own individuality and freedom and express their own art after seeing Willow in this video.” The shoot won’t be easy, but it shouldn’t be a problem for the singer, who was born into a showbiz family. “We are shooting two days, and it’s a complex shoot,” added the director. “It’ll require a lot from Willow, but she’s incredibly talented and has an amazing personality, so I’m confident she’ll kill it in front of the camera. She’s a star.”

Will Smith's daughter, Willow, becoming a singing sensation, Jay-Z signs her to record label Will Smith's 9-year-old daughter is an overnight singing sensation, and she's got Jay-Z to back her. Willow Smith's first song, "Whip My Hair," started making the rounds on the Internet on Tuesday, and has quickly generated some serious buzz. The head-banging track, which is already being played on New York hip-hop radio station Hot 97, has even triggered some premature comparisons to pop superstar, Rihanna. "I whip my hair back and forth," Smith sings on the catchy chorus. Like Rihanna, Smith is getting a helping hand from Brooklyn rapper Jay-Z, who has reportedly signed her to his label, Roc Nation. It was Jay-Z who also signed Rihanna while he was president of Def Jam. Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have already seen their daughter handle the pressures of acting. She joined her father in "I Am Legend," and then with her mom in "Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa." Her big brother, Jaden, 12, has also flirted with superstardom as an actor and rapper. This year, he starred in "The Karate Kid" and teamed up with Justin Bieber to rap on the song, "Never Say Never." The Twitter community also can't stop talking about Willow Smith. Beyonce's sister, Solange, took to Twitter to give the rising singer some props. "WIllow Smith make me wanna whip some haiiirrr in this house. Ummm kill em girl. Kill em!" she tweeted. Singer Jazmine Sullivan is also a fan. She tweeted, "why is "whip my hair" by willow smith my soonnnng. how dare she make me like a 9 year olds music? lolol. love it!!!"

I realy like this song. I was expecting some corny kids' stuff but that's acctually pretty cool joint. I am way to old for that song but what a hell... I whip my hair back and forth too... Willow said on her twitter that Kyle (will's nephew) helped to write that song and that the beats were made by Trey (Will's son). That's one talented family.

On July 30, hip-hop turntablist Jeffery “Jazzy Jeff” Townes and his fiancé Lynette Jackson were married on the island of Jamaica. The normally private one half of the pioneering rap duo Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince explains why his wedding was the most important day of his life and says the best marriage advice he received came from longtime friend and collaborator Will Smith I got married because it was the right time and the right thing to do. Lynette and I had been together for three years. This is the person I want to spend the rest of my life with so we got married in Jamaica and the wedding was a really good size. It was all of our close friends and family. We did it off the radar because we just wanted it to be about family. Your wedding day is supposed to be the most important day of your life, so we wanted to share that with the most important people in our lives. We took a lot of advice from other married couples. The main piece of advice my wife and I received? You have to make your wedding day all about you. So many of our friends would tell us, “If we had a chance to do it all over again, we would have picked the food we wanted to eat or picked the place where we wanted to hold our wedding.” Will [smith] was one of the main people who were there for support. One of the things that he said to me that I thought was really insightful was, 'So many people are there to celebrate your day, that every hour or so during the ceremony you should grab your bride, sit down somewhere, and spend 10 minutes with your wife-to-be.' It’s like a huddle [Laughs]…the two of you break and then you give yourself to your family and friends. Every hour my wife and I found each other wherever we were at and just looked at each other and said, 'Wow, this is really great.' Unfortunately, most of the time, friends and family only get together when people pass away. We don’t treasure our friends and our family when they are here. So our wedding was a really good occasion to get everybody together. We wanted to take a million and one pictures and savor every moment of it because you don’t know if these people will ever be together again. All of the old school Philly crew was there. Will, J.O., Charlie…it was pretty much my people. It was crazy to stand there and soak it all in with my friends. Will and I would look at each other during the ceremony and laugh like, Can you believe this??? We are just two kids from West Philadelphia who followed our dreams. It doesn’t get better than this."—As told to Keith Murphy source

I am not sure Will is going to sign on the project. They plan to start shooting it December/January. Will is about to start shooting MIB3. Since it's 3D I'm sure the shooting will take a while. I don't think he's going to do one movie right after another. Not to mantion family obligations like Trey's football season that's about to start too...

A Fresh Prince Reunion? Dust off your Hammer Pants and start freshening up your “Carlton Dance.” We’re headed back to the ’90s. Word on The Curb has it that the former cast and crew of The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air are in chats for a one-time reunion special that could make its way to the airwaves as early as next year. The hit comedy starred Grammy-winning rapper/actor Will Smith as a headstrong kid from Philly transplanted to live with his wealthy aunt, uncle, and cousins in Los Angeles’ ritzy Bel-Air community. The Fresh Prince featured guest appearances by a bevy of stars — including Tom Jones, Don Cheadle, Naomi Campbell, and Queen Latifah — and ruled NBC’s Monday night lineup for seven seasons before leaving the air in 1996. “Will [smith] and Tatyana [Ali] crossed paths a while ago and were chatting and joking about the idea of getting everyone back together. A couple of the old writers including Andy Borowitz caught wind of it and started putting some stuff together… Alfonso [Ribeiro] and James [Avery] are also said to be 100% interested in doing it,” whispers one well-placed TV insider. We wonder which of the Aunt Vivians they’ll be bringing back! The last time the cast appeared together was in 2009, when several of the show’s former stars dropped by for a special edition of Catch 21, a Game Show Network program hosted by Fresh Prince alum Alfonso Ribiero. I don't wanna get hyped cause it might be just a rumor but damn, it would be great to see them together once more. It aint that hard to guess which aunt viv would be invited to take part in it... source
