McDonald's In Talks With Hip-Hop Designers For Uniforms By Nolan Strong Date: 7/5/2005 11:53 am McDonald’s has already tapped into Hip-Hop music to help sell their food and promote their brand and now the fast food giant is in talks with Sean John, Rocawear and Fubu to give employee’s uniforms a makeover. McDonald’s has hired music mogul Steve Stoute, who runs Translation Consulting and Brand Imaging to oversee the project. The fast food giant’s aim is to make the employee uniform more desirable and to turn the clothing into walking advertisements for the McDonald’s brands. “McDonald’s has evolved and become a lifestyle brand,” Stoute told AdAge.com. “Since it now is relevant to our lifestyle, let’s go one step further and make its employees relevant to our lifestyle as well.” Other designers being considered for the uniform revamp include American Apparel, American Eagle Outfitters, Tommy Hilfiger and others. In recent months, McDonald’s offered royalties to rappers who include the “Big Mac” sandwich in a hit record. In that campaign, the artist who name checks the song in the song will be paid a royalty based on the amount of times the record is played on the radio. Representatives said the initiatives are part of a broader marketing campaign to use Hip-Hop to sell their products. The company also hired various rapper’s to perform at certain offline events and more recently, used the Kanye West produced single “Move Around” by Chicago rapper Bump J in a commercial.

Authorities Investigating Suge Knight's Role In Las Vegas Assault By Nolan Strong Date: 7/4/2005 6:55 pm Authorities are reviewing surveillance camera footage, after an altercation between a group allegedly associated with Marion “Suge” Knight and a taxicab driver took place Sunday morning (July 3) in Las Vegas, Nevada. According to local reports, the incident occured in front of the Palms Hotel and Casino, after the woman was placed into a cab, allegedly intoxicated. She was removed shortly after entering the vehicle due to her level of intoxication and when the driver asked her for the $3 fair, the woman allegedly began to assault the driver. The Taxi Cab Authority alleges Knight and those with him allegedly threatened the taxi driver, security and the Taxi Cab Authority Police when they attempted to arrest the woman. Las Vegas Metro Police were also called to the scene as well and as of press time, no arrests were made in relation to the incident.

I fully agree Will n Jada are important 2 HipHop culture.

It goes 2 show that Will is an outstanding artist. PPl that r hatin' on him n have 2 make-up things just so they can criticize him. They have 2 find sumthing wrong wit Will cause he is a truely nice man.

Well this guy is like many ppl that don't remember that Will won the first Grammy 4 Rap and JJFP n others put on a boycott against the Grammy's becos they weren't gonna air it on tv. It's becos of Will n others that Rap was taken seriously. This guy doesn't remember any of JJFP albums probably never even listen 2 them. Or even Will's solo albums like BWS which went what how many times Platinum n Willennium. But I guess this dude hasn't seen that Will is the 4th best selling artist rite now n Switch went Platinum. I think Will is a talented actor but he's was a rapper first. He's the only rapper I heard mentioning Greats like P.E, Rakim n RunDMC. This dude needs 2 have his head check. :chuks:

My fav is in 1 of the skits. A guy interviewing them and he says Will is said 2 be a nice guy n u Jada difficult. Jada says Will isn't always nice Will says I only choke u once Jada says Once, twice still a choke. The guy interviewing them says Will it's not rite 2 choke a woman. Will says Hey buddy listen I got a choke stash rite here. Jada says Well thats the reason 4 the necklace and the hat. was so damn funny. Will and Jada are funny as heel. I like the rules that they set. Rule #1 Don't bring all 15ppl u brought wit u on the stage. 3 homeboy limit. Rule #2 No flashy suits and goblets.
