Yeah, in fact, if I recall accurately, one of the major US networks aired a program tackling the historical accuracy of the existence of Jesus and the Bible's accounts of him. At one point during the documentary, the researchers had a bust made of what Jesus would most likely have looked like. They concluded that his appearance would have been consistent with the appearance of middle easterners during that time, dark skin, dark hair, brown eyes, middle eastern facial features and body type. For those who are believers or adhere to his teachings, I would assume that what he represents is far more important than his skin color. However, I'd also assume that many Klans members would be quite dissapointed to learn that Jesus wasn't white, so hey...

I used a program called Panorama Factory. It's kinda cool. There's another one called PTGui that's good too. I didn't have a tripod, so I was slowly turning around in a circle taking pictures. Lol, be prepared for people to look at you funny.

You have to take into account the era in which Jesus lived. He lived during a time where Jews were concentrated in the middle east and had not had serious enough interaction with other cultures with light skin to produce what you would see in Israel today. During the Roman Empire, Jews began to scatter throughout the empire, and after the fall of the Roman empire, Jews continued to scatter throughout Europe. As a result, Jews married Europeans had children and their decendents were mixed. During the Zionist movement, a large number of Jews in Europe migrated back to the middle east. This is why many of the Jews you see today have light skin. Jesus lived during a time where the preponderance of Jews would have had darker skin consistent with that region.

X-Men 1 was decent, and X-Men 2 was probably even better, but I understand your grief. There are definitely technical aspects that will be off in the movies, and it can be annoying. The plots often don't live up to our expectations. The characters sometime don't fit with their comic book counterparts... Can't believe you haven't seen 1 and 2 though...

I have a good feeling about this one, and I'm eager to see how this movie turns out. I think it's the fact that this movie isn't the typical Will Smith summer blockbuster. It's more serious, and hopefully will gets to show more of his acting chops in this project than the typical summer blockbusters. Perhaps a little drama. I still don't understand why some are so down on his acting. Lets run through the numbers... Will took off about a year and a half between the filming of movies, bringing us Lost and Found during that time. By the time his next movie comes out, a year and three quarters will have passed between the premiere of movies. He won't be filming another movie for about 6 months, and will probably do something with music during that time. All this while being one of the most sought after actors in the industry; one of the very few being paid upwards of 20 mil per movie... Approaching the prime of his career... Frankly, there isn't much to complain about as of late.

That was your response to this... People have the right to talk about their beliefs as long as they are not degrading the quality of the board by doing any or all of the three things I stated above. You are welcome to check the forum guildlines. Many have said that this isn't a religious forum and so forth, yet this isn't a 50 Cent forum though he is talked about all the time nor is it a Kanye West forum though he is talked about all the time. We've had discussions about the X-Box, technology, amazing gymnasts, Murder Inc.; all of these things are perfectly acceptable, yet none of them have much to do with JJFP. The Caught In the Middle Section has been reserved for topics that are not necessarily related to Will or Jeff, but may be of interest to the members of this forum. In keeping with that, discussion of religion should be acceptable as long as they are within the guidelines on the forum. That was what I wanted to point out in the first part of my original post. Whether I believe that what the person is saying is true or not is moot. As far as I am concerned, they could be worshiping Polaris... they still have a right to address their beliefs as long as their discussion is in accordance with the forum guidelines. That part of my original statement addressed those who would say that we shouldn't talk about religion on the board, not to bolster the person who started this thread.
