If he wanted to take the lead for his community, he should have addressed the hordes of young black men roaming the city, raping girls, carjacking, shooting at rescue helicopters... (rescue helicopters!), shooting at people waiting to be rescued infront of the superdome including the sick and the elderly, shooting at people while they are being rescued, shooting at law enforcement, looting gun shops... People involved in the rescue efforts have said that they are afraid for their lives and some have refused to go into the city because of the violence... There are police officers that have turned in their badges saying that they've lost their homes, they don't want to lose their lives... You want to address some issues, lets talk about all the issues... don't be myopic.

If he really wanted to say something about the situation, he should have found another medium. He was invited to this benefit concert to encourage people to help those devastated by the hurricane and the flooding. I'm not attacking what he said, but I am disgusted with the time and the place he chose to say it. If his intention was to help the people affected by hurricane Katrina, he should have mirrored Chris Tucker and urged people to send what they could, not criticize the govenment. Yes, we all have freedom of speech, but we should be wise enough to know when to excercise our rights and when to approach situations with tact. A benefit concert is not the time to be untactful.

That wasn't the time nor the place. Regardless of whether you believed what he said to be true or false, the broadcast was meant to promote unity, not to create controversy. He shouldn't have used the forum that NBC provided him to criticize the govenment, but rather to encourage them to do more and to spur Americans to take more action. Not a good look for Kanye this time around...

I don't know about you guys, but I love reviews like this. They serve to expose people as haters, and leave no questions or uncertainty on the matter. It is highly unlikely that this person even heard the track (it's easy to tell that Ludacris is nowhere to be seen) and is just writing a review because his deadline was fast approaching. His attacks on the track are superficial at best. He doesn't say that he hates the beat. He doesn't say that he hates Will's flow. He doesn't say that he hates the lyrics. He only says that the track is a train wreck. Last I checked, train wrecks usually have causes...Congrats Chuck Taylor, you are the loser of the week...

Yeah, he ended it just like the Switch video. See, now I'm looking closely at everything. At the very beginning, when Will puts on the CD player and it closes, you can see that it is a Lost and Found CD... with the Lost and Found design and print.

Every time I see a post like this, I have to shake my head. Sony helped BWS sell 9 mil US, diamond overseas. They helped Willenium sell 2 million US... Miami wasn't a cheap video Just Cruising wasn't a cheap video, and it wasn't even on the US version of BWS Will2k wasn't a cheap video Black Suits Coming wasn't a cheap video Lets not have selective memory. If I'm going to blame sony for B2R, I'm compelled to give them their props for what they did with Willenium and BWS. And it's not like interscope is blameless. Regardless of how many special effects and how much money they put into the Party Starter video, there is still a 6 month gap between singles and Lost and Found is selling just a little above 6k... Better planning should have gone into how they were going to approach these singles, promotion and how they were going to keep the public interested in the album.

This show is hilarious... I'm talking mad funny. If you haven't seen it, check your MTV listings... One of the very very very few times I watch MTV. Nick and his crew put it down.

Am I the only one who's noticed this... When Will begins to rhyme the second verse... are the blocks in the background spelling out "FP" or is that my imagination?

I gave it an 8. The video didn't really jive with the lyrics, and Will's surroundings were busy, often taking away from what he was rhyming, especially on that last verse. And my man was line dancing... Other than that, it was a great video. It's not what I expected... the special effects were crazy... I assume it will do well when it comes to tv...

Yeah, December is a very long time away. It doesn't sound right, especially for a movie that will stop filming sometime in November and has no special effects... But even if it is December, I guess I'll just be greatful... Will could have done what some of ya'll wanted and done another album right after this one and not have a movie out until 2007. That would have been unacceptable.
