That is like the third post in 2 days I saw you edit and add certain lines to start a fire. You just LOVE to provoke a certain individual, don't you? :3-laugh3: ← I edited to fix the spelling on the word may... I had it as nay before. The "bonus" thing was in there before. I try to provoke without editing, lol.

Yeah, but I also heard that his next album, "Found and Lost" should be coming out in '08 too... Putting together what you've heard and what I've heard, we can surmise that he's going to put "Tell Me Why" on that '08 album and release it. I also heard that he may be changing the name and theme of the song. From the latest rumors, he may call it, "Tell Me Why I Waited So Long to Release My Second Single." The theme is obvious. Granted it doesn't roll off the tongue, but hey... this is all bonus as someone put it sometime back.

We may never get to see Tell Me Why. The album is selling pretty low right now, so there's a chance that it may not be released or that it may be another "So Fresh." Ty: You're right, that's the only thing that may work at this point. Let's milk Switch since it worked so well in the past... Oh, wait... :ponder:

Will being busy has nothing to do with the single's release. Will should be on the set of Pursuit of Happyness as I post. He shot the video for Party Starter 2 months ago. Given that it could take about 2-3 weeks to get all the special effects done and on point, the video should have been ready in June. The radio edit for the album would take all of 2 days to finish, if that... And Lost and Found keeps sinking... It's one thing to be patient when nothing's at stake. It's a totally different thing when you've come to the realization that time is working against you and that every day counts...

They taped the video since the beginning of June... much of my ranting is attributed to that piece of knowledge... 2 months ago.... :jada: Now I know some of ya'll will say :stickpoke: "So what..! they did Switch a long time ago too, and look how long that took to come out." Don't even act like the delay on Switch and Lost and Found made ya'll happy.

Lol, yeah, I was there back at the end of June to no fault of my own. Word was that it would be released in June or early July... June came and went. July came and went... now it's August and I'm gonna start shopping for college supplies soon... this just isn't right....

Be patient Max... It will come out when it comes out... Be patient Max, we waited 2 and a half years for this album, we can wait a little longer... Be patient Max, Switch is doing great... Be patient Max, Will knows what he's doing... Be patient Max, it's likely Party Starter will flop anyway... I'm well done being patient...

Were you with others? How did they respond to the track?
-
Slim Fast or Erthquake. I voted Erthquake... but Phil definitely deserved the Slim Fast dig in that episode.
-
Not everyone unfortunately. Some believe that it is likely it will flop.
-
It's going to take a little time. It was only officially released yesterday.

Lost and Found has sold more than 686, 086 Copies
MaxFly replied to Hero1's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Party Starter still hasn't really hit a good number of radio stations yet and unfortunately, being in the top 100 really isn't going to help sales. Party Starter is going to have to get into the top 40 before people really stand up and take notice. Just a little more time and a music video... Yeah... 118 is pretty low... but according to your interpretation, it's either low, or a bonus... -
Good to see Will on the list. Does anyone have any idea what his net worth is?

The set was changed to make it more modern looking and less stuffy. There are a lot of deep browns and dreary colors in the first season. By the last season, there was a lot of white and the house looked a lot more modern. It sort of represents the change the family underwent because of Will's presence. When he first arrived... things were a bit uptight and boring... when the show ended, things were a lot more modern, welcoming and comfortable...

I don't fight, lol... I just make points and leave it at that... :word:

Sorry... here's what I said earlier... Sorry, I took it down. I had to do a little spring cleaning to save some bandwith on my server so I can put up the Party Starter video when it comes out. Hopefully, someone who's already downloaded it will be gracious enough to provide it for you.

Lol, I don't even know what to say. Will wrote Parents Just Don't Understand from his experience as a child... It was more about fun and jokes than anything else. You would have to explain why he would feel like he is a hypocrite.

I'm not sure where talk of sales comes in... We're talking about the respect he gets for the music he makes. If we're complaining about the lack of respect he gets in the business, but at the same time, we're advocating If You Can't Dance as a single... we probably shouldn't wonder why he doesn't get much respect, and we probably shouldn't be complaining. It's one thing to have haters, but it's a completely different thing to provide your haters with reason to hate on you. "Hey, I already have haters, so I'm going to put out this wack single anyway." That's not sound logic in the music business. ←

No way!!! :mygod: "If You Can't Dance" is one of the best tracks of the album. :wickedwisdom: Whenever I play the CD I keep "If You Can't Dance" and "Pump Ya Brakes" in repeat play because they are the two best tracks of the album! :yeah: So there, Maxi! :jada: And some more words to try out some new smilies! :ninja: :nhawong: :ithinkimkanye: :ShockRifle: :eusa_snooty: ← That's too bad. I guess you wouldn't have anything to listen to on Lost and Found if those tracks weren't on it... I can live with that... :dope:

:iagree: If you cut the album to 10 tracks it'd be perfect! But Will has always had haters call him pop too no matter what he does even back when he released "Girls Ain't Nothin' But Trouble", when you're on top who doesn't have haters? The majority of people who buy albums are pop fans, every platinum rapper has a pop fanbase 'cause they're popular, if you only have a hip-hop fanbase you won't sell much! Will does have as much respect as he does hate, but like I said before now peeps that sell the most don't always get the most respect in hip-hop, respect doesn't always equal sales, especially now, 50 Cent ain't that respected in hip-hop when he gets more hate than love, so even if Will gains more respect for releasing "Tell Me Why" that doesn't mean he'll sell 10 million all of a sudden. ← I'm not sure where talk of sales comes in... Ain't nothing but a thing... It's a deal. :wiggle:

At the same time Tim, that justification could be supplied in order to put any mediocre track on an album. "It's fun, it's different, even though it's not that good, so let's put it on." I understand balancing off pretty serious content with happier, lighter content, but at the same time, I don't think your have to forego quality in doing that. If You Can't Dance, by many people's admission, isn't even one of the top 10 tracks on the album. So yeah, balancing serious content with lighter content is good, but balancing excellent content with mediocre content is not so good. This is especially true when we know how good the lighter content can be... (Can You Feel Me?, Candy, It's All Good) Though the content is different, Coming to the stage is just as light, happy and energetic as If You Can't Dance, but is superior and would make a great replacement. As for I You Can't Dance being a better single than Switch Ted... (it's very rare that I take a stand for Switch guys... so take a picture or do whatever you need to do to commemorate this occasion) I highly doubt that you even want to have that discussion. With a single usually comes a music video, and a music video for "If You Can't Dance" would only serve to prolong the disrepect Will gets for his music. He would instantly have been labeled Pop, and even worse, the music video and song would have seemed associated, obviously, with Hitch because of its topic... If Will ever wants to separate his music from his acting... If You Can't Dance as the first and only single for 5 months wouldn't be a good idea... While it is possibe that If You Can't Dance might have commercial success because of Hitch... it would be even less helpful to Lost and Found than Switch has... and I could hear you complaining about how much black radio won't play "If You Can't Dance."

I believe that the removal of "If You Can't Dance" and the addition of "Coming to the Stage" would have made the album better... I don't think that Wave 'Em Off is as bad as some people make it out to be, and if there is a track on the album that it is better than, I think it is If You Can't Dance, regardless of what track it was based on. The beat isn't that good, and the lyrics really aren't that good. Was Will contrained by Roxanne, Roxanne... most likely, but that still doesn't make the track good. Incidentally, if people are truly serious in saying that they want Will to gain more respect in hip hop circles, are truly annoyed about black entertainment establishments not playing his music and are not just complaining for complaining's sake, I suggest you slowly back away from any advocacy of If You Can't Dance as a single or having a music video.
