Beat it........... Beat it.......... Michael won't be defeated... Showing how strong he is when he fights... it doesn't matter if he was guilty or not.... just beat it.......

The accuser's mother certainly didn't help the prosecution from what the jurors have said. In other news, tell me why BET's having a special Michael Jackson BET.COM countdown.

W. Smith the fourth best selling rapper 2005
MaxFly replied to Frenetic's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Switch has done well... but it is not one of the best tracks off the album. It isn't even in the top 5. Now people will like it, because it is a good club song, but if people in hip hop had common sense, the following, released as singles, would make Switch seem inconsequential. Lost and Found Party Starter Tell Me Why I Wish I Made That Ms. Holy Roller Mr. Nice Guy And even Here He Comes if it were longer I just wanted to stress that while switch is doing well, it is low on the list of the best tracks off the album. -
Also, the thing about the war is not only that we went in with false information, but that it was so poorly executed, so we messed up twice, in one war. I don't know if people still supporting the war are just to slow to see that or that they just choose to ignore it. I'm all for rooting out evil and tyranny, but lets not do it under false pretenses, and lets do it well. We have North Korea, Pakistan, India, and Iran getting stronger and on the verge of developing nuclear programs, and we attack the one country who scrubbed their nuclear ambitions in the '90s, and we said it was because of tyranny. We want to uproot tyrants, lets look at a map of Africa and we can go there next and liberate some people.

Keep in mind that this is off one single, and the weakest single that he will release off of Lost and Found at that. Not too bad... -

Oh man, I can't get over Jaden's part. His expression and the way he gestures when he is, "We look like a bunch of suckas!"

Lol, I hope that suing McDonalds thing was a joke... lol But yeah, Bush is a pretty polarizing character in American politics. It seems that we were misled, whether purposefully or by accident, into the War in Iraq. What's funny about the situation is that if this happened to be Bill Clinton advocating the war, republicans would be in complete outrage at such a collosal "mistake" as attacking a country with false information, an then trying to justify it by saying we needed to take out Saddam's regime anyway. But the same rules don't apply for them. Saddam needed to go, but if we had handled the situation properly, the US would still have the respect and trust of the rest of the world. How do we go from being loved, cherished, pitied, and respected post 9/11 to being mistrusted and hated in such a short time? The worst thing is that the democrats don't know where they stand. They want to be all things to everyone, so they don't have a solid platform and come off looking more like obstructionists than anything else. Coalitions, as John Kerry mentioned in the last campaign, need to be established among countries. Order and accountability has to be brought back into the equation. Things are really a mess right now.

Q mix - Will Smith vs the allstars
MaxFly replied to Jazzy Julie's topic in Jazzy Jeff & Fresh Prince
Like how the fugees mix was incorporated. -
I'm personally glad that Will got the opportunity to perform on such a large stage, however, I feel that it was a slightly wasted opportunity. Here's why. Basketball games, especially the NBA finals, are broadcast all around the world. It is one of the biggest stages and forms of publicity anyone can get at any one time. The audience is not only limited to the people in the stadium, but is truely worldwide, so when you have an opprotunity like that, it's prudent to milk it for all it's worth. However, when you have a new single that's coming out in a few weeks, and choose instead to perform a single that most people have heard already, that has been out for three and a half months... expect fans to be slightly disappointed. Now no one is blaming Will, at least I'm not. I'm almost certain that ABC asked him to specifically perform Switch... so that's fine, but that's not going to stop me from wishing he had performed at least part of party starter. The kind of exposure you can get for a new single from a performance in the NBA finals or any other giant sporting event is immense. People will be checking for it if they think it's hot... (and Party Starter is certifiably hot). Shows will call you up to perfrom on their shows if they see an agreeable response to what you do. All in all, bottom line, it just provides more publicity... and with boadcasts worldwide... I should say 'a lot more publicity' for Party Starter and ultimately, Lost and Found. My thing is, what's the point of doing Switch for it's popularity if the crowd doesn't get into it and if the performance is hackneyed. I would have perferred that he had come with something fresh. About Party Starter being huge... I've lurked around other messageboards and forums and the consensus is that it is a "summer banger." This is from Will lovers, haters, and the lukewarm alike. The vast majority of people think that the track is hot, that the beat is tight, that the lyrics are on point and that Will came extremely correct on this track. People, other than us, are talking about remixes, about putting it on summer mixtapes and the like, so this isn't just the people at jjfp.com and some of the sane people over at lorretaville hoping that the track does well. Look how well Switch has done. Does anyone really think that Switch will have done better than Party Starter when Party Starter's run is over? That is highly unlikely. People are talking about Party Starter, there's a buzz, and there's nothing black radio can do about it. There was certainly nothing they could do about Switch as it got quite a number of requests on black radio. There's no reason to belive the same and even greater achievements won't come to Party Starter.

lol "can't hear y'all i can't hear y'all!!" :haha: ← Lol, what's worse is that most of the time, he says that and the crowd responds and yells louder... This time... I don't know what happened... did they not understand that he was trying to get them to be more involved... Bring on Party Starter...
-
I'm on my 6th review... I'm just making sure... and........ no, the crowd's not into it. I mean, really... if a crowd of 18,797 people is yelling and cheering, you'll hear it, just like you can hear it when they cheer as Will takes the stage, when the pyrotechnics come on, and when he leaves. The video is up incidentally.
