  1. The one thing they've never been able to recreate in the movies is Batman's fighting prowess. The man is a super super super super ninja in addition to his knowledge of sciences and his sleuthing skills. He's "mastered" at least over 50% of all the matial arts disciplines and he's studied and taken moves from all 127 disciplines... you'd think he'd be able to do more than just simply punch and kick people. I'm hoping to see a lot of hand to hand combat in this new film, especially since he's supposed to have spent much of his childhood learning and mastering so many disciplines. I'm not sure how well Bale will be able to move in the new suit, but since this is an integral aspect of the mythos, something needs to be done. If not, we may as well go back to the days when Batman was saying stuff like, "Use the anti-shark repellent spray, Robin!"
  2. It was nice to see him finally perform Party Starter... I'll get the video up in a few.
  3. I can't believe we are still talking about this.
  4. I like the premise of the movie. Sounds interesting. Overbrook is really taking off and Will seems to be working pretty hard to guarantee the company's success.
  5. Well you can actually get a pretty good idea of what the movie is like by watching the preview. The torrent is available I believe.
  6. Prices are about 2.21 here in Boston, but they vary quite a bit in the Northeast. In all seriousness, this whole situation should be a wake up call to the industrialized nations. Governments should really begin allocating funds for research and development into other forms of energy for cars, planes, and other types of vehicles. Hybrid cars run on a lot less gas and have better mileage in addition to far less emissions. It's quite possible that cars in the next 20 years could be able to run only on batteries. Scientist are already beginning to make safe batteries that run on nuclear power that could run for a very long time. The problem, at least in the US, is that gas is taxed in part to pay for road maintenance. Lawmakers are worried that if people start using cars that offer better milage and run on less gas, the government is going to lose a lot of money when it comes to road maintenance. In fact, it's gone so far that in California, they are looking into devices that will, in the future, measure how much a person using a hybrid or battery powered car drives on their roads, and with what type of car, thereby measuring how much damage they do to the roads and how much they should pay in taxes for road maintenance. It also helps that the Bush family has close business ties to Saudi Arabian familes dealing in oil. Man, if Al Gore were president, the internet would be 10 times faster, :kekeke: , and that car from I, Robot would be on the market right now.
  7. No not yet, not really! I thought the same as u but no, not really! A new single isn't needed, Switch is still doing good, no doing very good at some charts! We gotta keep waiting a bit more for the next single to come out... Switch is doing well, it rised again! :thumb: We can keep milking Switch... but the album is falling lower and lower while we do that. What good would it be if Switch does well but the album starts to plummet. One of the main purposes of a single is to give listeners a taste of what the album is like so that they can take that into consideration when they make a choice as to whether to buy the album or not. It's really a form of publicity. However, if Switch continues to do well, but the album keeps falling, something fresh has to be released to bolster listeners' interest in the album. Also, on the off chance that Tell Me Why doesn't generate a sizeable amount of sales after sales have fallen, there's a chance we may not get a third single. This is why it is imperative that another single be released soon. If something isn't released to keep sales steady, Lost and Found can very well fall into a rut that Tell Me Why may not be able to help it to recover from. In a case like this, there would be a chance that a third single wouldn't be released if the artist and the production company see a lack on interest in the album. It's unlikely that will happen... but there's always the possibility... and the longer we wait, the more likely it becomes. That would be Born to Reign all over again. Of course, Lost and Found has already done better than B2R, but the album truly deserves to do so much better than it is doing right now.
  8. Did anyone catch the 10 minute showing of scenes from Batman Begins last night on the WB? The movie looks great. There were variety of scenes shown from throughout the movie. Really looking forward to the rejuvenation of the Bat franchise after the embarrasment that came in the form of the last two movies.
  9. Yeah, it's definitely getting great reviews. I would be surprised if it didn't break Titanic's record. It's been the most anticipated movie for the last 2 and a half years. So many questions are going to be answered... I don't know anyone who doesn't like the original trilogy and this Episode will be crucial because it sets everything up for Episodes 4, 5 and 6. And gosh, there's so much action and so many epic battles... I can't wait.
  10. I'd follow that with a question as to why Switch is doing so well and Lost and Found isn't.
  11. Yeah... it's come to a point now where all I'm waiting for is the Tell Me Why music video. We've had this discussion already and people don't seem to think that it's time for another single, the whole "milking switch" thing... lol, we're certainly not milking it for Lost and Found sales... so it's whatever. Not to scare anyone, but if sales continue on this constant decline, there's a chance we won't get a third single... Hopefully Lost and Found doesn't drop into the 40s or below 25k before a new single arrives...
  12. Hit it on the head exactly... :werd: Discussion over.
  13. Should be an interesting endeavor to say the least.
  14. There's nothing wrong with commercialism in and of itself... Let me reiterate... there is nothing wrong with commercialism in and of itself. We have to realize that the true problems arise when commercialism and material things overshadow an artist's music. When those things become more important than the pure music and an artist's expression of themselves through music... that's when we need to start worrying. Will has been rapping for 20 years, and it has never been about the money for him. When he started his movie career, it wasn't about the money... If he were someone who was concerned about that sort of thing, he would have stopped rapping long ago and focused solely on his movie career. If Will were to start or join in a partnership with someone to create a clothing line or engage in some other business endeavor (which he has done in the past)... it follows that it still would not be about the money... I don't think we'll ever have to worry about Will rapping about his FP sneakers or his summer jean collection. He's always kept it real and will continue to do so. Real talk. The comment about a clothing line was really in jest... but what if he were to start a clothing line? All I see is an alternative to all the foolishness we see coming out now, a lot of possibilites and some good looking clothes... no harm, no foul... I highly doubt such a thing would overshadow his love and respect for hip hop or that for film. In addition, there's no reward in life for limiting yourself and thinking one dimensionally... New things have to be tried and you have to keep setting goals for yourself or else life can get monotonous and become boring very quickly.
  15. Coo... they're continuing to do big things. I guess we'll be seeing a lot of Jada in the near future. Now can we get a clothing line Will?
  16. More accurate numbers are still in the works I believe.
  17. I don't really think Dallas will beat the Suns... It just seems that Dallas has a very good game last night at home... but I don't know how that's going to play out in Phoenix...
  18. Still haven't shown up yet. That's unacceptable.
  19. I'm really not trying to twist anything. If he doesn't smoke and he doesn't drink, yet lets on as if he does in the music... what is that? Nothing has to be twisted... this isn't some minor discrepancy. Now is it a good thing that he doesn't live that way? Yes. But why isn't he man enough to stand and say, yea... I don't live that way. Why let people think that he does? I mean, has street cred become more important than people's sense of integrity? Hip hop used to be an art where people expressed themselves... their thoughts... their feelings... things that they were dealing with... but if people are saying and doing things just to fit into a certain culture... is it really still hip hop... I don't think so. It's really just lyrics and a beat... no soul.
  20. Yeah... I know... Some of these people need to get out of the house more.
  21. Normally, I would put this on the proper forum, but I wanted everyone to see this. Everyone head over to willsmith.com now and bump up an earlier thead and disrupt the spamming. Let them know that they won't be allowed to mess with anything Will Smith related.
  22. So when 50 mentions that he does or has done something in his music... he's really talking about what he's heard someone else is doing or did, or what he saw someone else do. So he has to give the impression that he's doing these things to maintain that positive glowing image that he projects. Mimi... honestly, you're digging a deeper hole for him. Why not just concede that he isn't being real in his music... that he's projecting something that he isn't... because that's basically the truth isn't it, regardless of how we twist it and try to explain it away?
