And if black radio doesn't play it, BET will sure play it. They play switch a good deal as it is... Not ready to say if it will make 106 and Park, but it will make Bet Start, Bet Now and Rap City...
This should be very very very interesting... I hope this doesn't affect his chances of getting nominated for an award. But we'll see. This should def boost record sales...
UNNECESSARY DISS ALERT! haha :speechless: you meant MaxFly, right?
Note, no one wants to start dissing me unnecessarily when I'm not even in the battle... I will quite seriously spit some things that will make some of ya'll stop rhyming entirely...
"Just a warning shot over the bow." :poke:
Yo, it's gotten so bad that you'll hear 50 on one station, change the station, and hear a different 50 song on another station...
I remember in highschool, a friend and I were driving to school, and the radio was on. A Ja Rule track came on on the station, and we both reached for the radio dial at the same time to change the station. I let him change it to another hip hop station... they were playing a different Ja Rule song... we both reached for the dial again to put the radio off. Lol, we drove to school in silence... I can imagine that a lot of real hip hop heads in highschool are driving to school in silence on a constant basis.
theres no way that they would release another single and video then a switch remix, if they are gonna release a video it would happen now while switch is the single out
Agreed
1- 4... remixes don't count...
2- Switch + remixes, Tell Me Why, Party Starter, Pump Ya Breaks
3- About 6...
4- This is very wishful thinking mind you.... Switch, Tell Me Why, Party Starer, Loretta, Scary Story (around Halloween...), Lost and Found
I don't know. I have to say that the message is more important than the messenger... Black radio as a whole is very stubborn... but they're not entirely ignorant. I don't think... I guess I should say... I hope they're not petty enough to avoid playing "Tell Me Why" just because it's a Will Smith track... I heard Jada's "Why" everywhere and it was simply ridiculous (if you're gonna criticize the president, do it right). Will's going to win a grammy for this, no contest... and black radio will look very foolish when people are like, "I never heard this track... this is hot... the radio stations are falling off..." If this is the case, people will discover something some of us have known for years... there's more to music than 50 and 'lil Jon.
The more I listen to it, the more I'm starting to think that thay won't have a choice. It's going to be requested over and over again, regardless of which recording artist is responsible for the track.
The remix is not the worst Will Smith song ever... Lets not go overboard people. Sean Paul may have been a better choice though, but we may have to check into his past lyrics as well. The whole situation with Elephant Man is disturbing... but I'm not sure Will went into this thinking about Elephant Man's past lyrics...
Anyone have the week by week, or month by month record sales for Big Willie Style? Or does anyone know where such info can be found. Just want to see the progression to 9x plat.
Bobby Valentino - Tell Me (Timbaland beat is sick)
and then
Kanye - Diamonds are Forever
(we're gonna have 'lil kids running around this summer throwing up dynasty signs, talking about how they're "party starters")
LOOOOOL
Fugees album the score sold 18 milion copies wolrd wide, its the most succesfull album by a rap act.
Wyclef had lots of hits, and Lauryin hill is one of the most succesfull female rappers ever. The misedjucation of lauryin hill sold like 9 milion and got her loads of grammies.
EVERYONE KNOWS THE FUGEES
Or everyone should know the fugees... but it's all good. I'm sure people will go out and check them now.
That's a great story. I'm glad that the album is doing so well. Only a 1% drop, and it's quite possible that if the numbers are a little off as Tim said, there could be an increase...
Has Hitch been released in Japan yet? I see a large number of sales coming from Japan, and if Hitch beats sales for I, Robot, I mean, that's just plain ridiculous!
*cough* *cough* 50 CENT *cough*
:werd: It's more than just him though but of course he's the main suspect! :ali: :ali:
Exactly... there are so many others, it's ridiculous. Record contracts these days are a dime a dozen; talent not required.
