I don't know anything about box-office, but is this good news ? 3 M seems a bit weak. Plus Rocky Balbao seemed to get 6 M on a wednesday. I seem to have a bad feeling about the weekend, lots of films coming out, POH could drop to the No.4 spot. Nights of the museum, rocky, we are marshall, good shepherd, and soon dreamgirls. I think it's going to take a huge beating in this course. 2.87 million is pretty good for a movie like Pursuit. Rocky got 6 million because Wednesday was the release date, so a lot of people went out to see it when it opened.

Pursuit made $2,806,095 on Wednesday for a 6 day total of $35,082,380. It's consistently beating out the other films.

Both the original and the remix to "Piss on You" are hilarious. Like Top Dawg, I laugh each and every time I see them. Probably the best skit Chappelle did, right up there with the Wayne Brady skit. 99.9% of the world thought and still thinks it's funny.

Yup, AI's going to Denver for Joe Smith, Andre Miller and picks... Nice trade for Denver... not so much for Philly. I think it's good for Philly. Their best bet is to start rebuilding. They now have 3 first rounders in what is supposed to be a VERY deep 07 draft, and an expiring contract in Joe Smith. They'll get some cap room, and that's exactly what Billy King wanted. I think they might try to move Chris Webber next, if only because of his contract. Also, I hate to say it, but it gets them that much closer to getting a player like Greg Oden. I'm not saying they are going to tank the season for him, but odds are they'll get a good amount of lotto balls in the draft lottory. The Sixers should have demanded they get JR Smith. Though they managed to get some picks, they're going to be very low picks, given the fact that Denver won't be a good lottery team this year. They could have gotten JR Smith, Oden, and still receieved their late first round picks. The Sixers could have forced a little more out of Denver, especially with Denver having Melo and a few other players suffering suspensions. Denver's also going to have to move a player, perhaps K. Mart... He, Iverson, Melo, Nene and Camby will be making 64 million next year. That's the full salary cap on 5 players...

Ok, I didn't cry... but I'd be lying if I didn't say that I was close. I definitely heard people sniffling and saw an elderly gentleman wiping his eyes in the row in front of me. What an awesome movie... It's one of those movies where, even if you can't really relate... if you don't feel something, something's wrong with you. The chemistry between Will and his son alone... wow...

Does anyone have any idea if Will is going to appear on Leno. I know he's in NY, but he generally shows up on Leno whenever he's releasing something.

This movie may very well end up past 125... I'm realizing that our estimates were very conservative.

There's been an update... Pursuit made about 10,500,000 on Saturday which brings it to about 19,500,000... It's projected to be the weekend leader. Box Office Mojo

I'm hearing word that this movie is making grown men (thugs mind you) cry in the theaters... :wickedwisdom:
