It's hard to believe the movie has been out for a whole year. Everyone was talking about it, and almost everyone had said back then that it was a great movie. A few more movies like this and Overbrook Will be a very serious production company. It looks like "Pursuit of Happyness" could be up for an Oscar or two and Overbrook has a few projects in the works.
Glad you enjoyed the movie Chief. Can't believe you hadn't seen it.
Lol, you list the tracks on an album...
those are the tracks on my album
You think you can double up by chance? 1-6 on the left, 7-11 and the bonus track on the right?
I would definitely like to see that. Probably something from Kanye too. It would be hot if he did something on the soundtrack for Pursuit or for Tonight He Comes.
Yeah, I remember that. Jim got a little wild on that pod cast. One day, we're going to have to get all of us on a podcast and have it out. That would definitely be interesting.
Cleaveland's defense has gotten better this season, but they still have some work that needs to be done, plus they're missing Larry Hughes... It hasn't been an easy season for them, but I expect them to make the playoffs.
Neither Code Red nor Lost and Found got the sort of publicity and promotion that they would have needed to do very well. Television and film weren't going to help if the albums aren't associated with them. A lot of people thought that Switch was associated with Hitch, and look how well it did. Big Willie Style had MIB... look how well it did. I'm not advocating that Will associate his music with the things he does in film. Promotion is the key. We saw Will not do a movie for an extended period and promotion still didn't go well for Lost and Found. The key is promotion.
True, but Will's had the most successful career to date. That definitely has to count for something. Also, he pretty much opened the door to Hollywood through hip hop. Everyone is pretty much following his lead.
As much as I want to say Summertime, and Summertime will always be my favorite song, period... I have to agree that "I'm looking for the One" is great for any time. In fact, I'm going to play that right now before I head to class.
They are. Trucks with rims. Check. Throwback jerseys. Check. Champagne bottles. Check. Lots of models. Music is becoming formulaic now, and this is why so much of it is similar. Rappers are just saying the same things with different lyrics, but with the same video girls and the same rented cars and mansions. They make life out to be a party in which you can't have fun without the things listed above.
It's a great joy to travel from place to place
Different foods from new cultures decorate your plate
Strange languages assault your ears
And different customs abound, but that's how you know you're there
Mingle with the locals, and explore their lives
Understand their perspectives and pick their minds
No tours or secluded group outings
Embrace the culture in order to really explore surroundings

I'm just glad they released the episodes. I hadn't seen a few episodes from season three in years. For some reason, they never ran in syndication; the stations always seemed to skip over them.
